Michael stared down at his palm in disbelief, struggling to comprehend the power he had just unleashed. He slowly turned his hand over, staring at it like it belonged to someone else.Full novel: SSS Awakening: My Talent Became A God-Level Cheat! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Even the Evolvers he teamed up with were frozen in place, their heads tilted toward the sky, mouths hanging open in shock.

Their eyes were filled with disbelief as they stared at the aftermath of the explosion, and honestly? Who wouldn’t be speechless from the sheer magnitude of the power they had just witnessed.

Michael stood to his feet, then a system notification flashed before his eyes.

[Talent Ability — 1st Genesis

• Ability Description: The Beginning can also become the End.

• Effect: Grants the user Genesis energy that returns every matter back into it’s original state from the beginning.]

Michael blinked, then stared at the system description of the 1st Genesis ability. "It turns any matter into it’s original state from the beginning?"

This was the first time he truly tried to understand his ability, after all, the system gave only a vague description of his ability from the start.

No matter how hard he tried to interpret the meaning behind the system’s description in other ways, there was only one thing it meant.

The 1st Genesis was an ability that reverted matter, not just one, but any form of matter, back to its original state.

Nothingness.

In the beginning, before the creation of the universe, there had been no light, no water, no air, no earth.

Nothing existed.

Nothing but pure, unfiltered darkness.

And that explained the ripple effect.

The moment the 1st Genesis exploded, a wave of absolute darkness rippled outward, momentarily swallowing everything in its path. Even the red clouds above were covered in darkness, as though existence itself had been erased for a fleeting moment.

"H—Hey..." Eric stammered as he still had his eyes glued to the sky, and the darkness that temporarily blocked out the red clouds faded. "You guys saw that... Right?"

"W—What was that just now?" Both Ronan and Eric shared the same confusion about what just happened in the sky.

But Alexia and Natalie had their eyes down on the ground, glued at Michael who still marveled at his own power.

"Alexia, you’re the one that invited him to join the team... It’s one thing if Mr Jin personally brought him to the academy, but to be placed in Class C... Is he truly a Grade 1 Evolver?" Natalie asked, she knew Alexia wouldn’t have an answer, but she needed something, anything that would explain what just happened.

"Did that look like something a Grade 1 Evolver would do?" Alexia said with a straight face, trying to maintain her composure as the leader of the team, but it gradually failed her. This chapter was taken from novelping.com without permission.

As the system displayed the number of enemies left, Michael’s fascination dropped instantly, at least for the moment.

He wasted no time, he charged forward towards Naga, picking up his sword from the ground along the way as he moved with only one intent.

Naga stretched out its enormous hand towards Michael and let out a thunderous roar that echoed across the battlefield.

It was a command, a command to kill the human that wanted to snuff it’s life out.

For a moment, the serpent warriors hesitated. They remembered what had happened only twenty minutes ago, the same man charging at them had single-handedly wiped out forty of their warriors with nothing but a sword.

Their eyes showed fear, but their primal instincts soon overwhelmed their hesitation.

The serpent warriors shrieked loudly, raised their weapons, and charged towards Michael from every direction.

As Micheal ran, he briefly glanced over his shoulder at his teammates, and after making sure they were still at a safe distance from him, he gripped the hilt of his sword tightly.

’If the 1st Genesis ability is as dangerous as it sounds, I have to use it before they make a move.’

He closed the distance in an instant.

As the first serpent warrior swung its spear at him, Michael ducked beneath the spear head and stepped forward and drove his sword into the heart of the second serpent warrior that followed behind.

The serpent warrior turned around immediately and shrieked loudly before it shot it’s spear towards Michael’s back. But compared to Michael’s reflexes, it was mediocre.

He flipped back over the spear, then twisted his body mid air before slashing his sword to the side of it’s neck, beheading the second serpent warrior immediately.

He landed smoothly and immediately spun and slashed, his blade slicing through another’s head.

He continued forward without slowing.

One slash.

Two.

Three.

Four.

Five.

By the time Michael passed through the formation, multiple serpent warriors had already been cut down in just several slashes.

Seeing as time waited for no one, Michael stretched out his hand, and once again, the Genesis Energy that had flooded through him gathered around his palm. Follow the newest chapters on g.com.

It condensed into a black, swirling sphere of energy, its surface twisting violently as though something was moving inside it.

Before the next serpent warrior could reach him, Michael thrust his hand forward.

The sphere and slammed directly into the warrior’s chest, then it carried the serpent warrior with it as it streaked through the air, heading straight toward the others.

Naga instinctively moved aside.

A moment later, the sphere imploded.

A massive explosion erupted, swallowing the surrounding area in a wave of pure darkness. The red clouds above vanished beneath the spreading blackness, and everything within the affected area was consumed by it.

The shockwave tore across the battlefield, and Naga was caught in the blast and was violently thrown off his feet, crashing heavily onto the ground.

[Enemies slain: 99/100]

As Naga slowly opened its eyes, it widened in fear the moment it found Michael crouched on its chest, staring at it with a cold, emotionless gaze.

"It doesn’t feel good does it? You bastards of the abyss." His anger surged as the painful memories of being devoured by a creature born of the abyss surfaced.

"I wonder... How does it feel to be hunted by your own prey? Is it frightening? Are you afraid to know that the day has come when the prey you lots once devoured will be the one to devour you?"

Michael could feel Naga’s body trembling beneath his feet, but it’s eyes carried a hint of malice.

"Your eyes say they want to kill me." Then a wicked smile stretched across his face, and his eyes glowed with a faint purple light as he leaned closer. "But judging from your reaction, now I am certain."

Naga released a terrifying roar as Michael’s words struck a nerve, then it opened its mouth and began gathering another sizzling ball of purple energy.

But before it could fire, Micheal’s Nature energy surged through his arm and condensed into a swirling ball of dark energy in his palm.

"Be erased from the depths of the abyss." His hand shot forward, driving the dark energy straight into the purple flames.

[You have activated the Talent Ability (1st Genesis)]

BOOM!

The dark energy shattered through the ball of flames and plunged directly into Naga’s mouth. A second explosion erupted from within its body, engulfing it in darkness until Naga was completely reduced to nothingness.
