[Ding! You have slain all enemies!]
[You have defeated the boss of the first trial!]
[You have cleared the first level of the abyss!]
[In the 20 years history of mankind in the trials of the Abyss, you are the first to slay the First’s Executioner — Naga!]
[Due to your incomprehensible achievements, total rewards have been delayed.]
[You have received two additional rewards!]
Several system notifications kept piling up before Micheal’s eyes even as he was still falling mid-air. One after another, they popped into view until he finally landed on the ground and let out a soft sigh.
It seemed the erasure of the First Genesis had no effect on Michael himself, even after being in the middle of the explosion. Maybe it was because he was the one who had used the technique? Or was there something else? He didn’t know.
All he knew for now was that he had completed and cleared the First level of the abyss.
And now, he can move on to the second trial.
[Do you wish to open the reward items?]
"Yes?"
[Ding! You have obtained two rewards!]
[Item : Naga’s Fangs
• Type: Double Daggers
• Grade: SSS
• Attack Damage: +350
• Unique Trait — Venomous Fangs: The daggers retain Naga’s deadly venom. Any target pierced by them will have their nervous system gradually disabled temporarily, impairing their ability to control their body.
• Location: System Storage.]
"A new weapon?" Michael looked at the sword he received from the academy during preparations to finally face the first level of the abyss.
It was already half-broken, its blade chipped and worn down from constantly cutting through the thick bodies of the serpent warriors.
Even the tilt of the sword had cracked at the edges from the power pressure Michael applied with his enhanced strength each time he gripped it.
"A venom that can temporarily disable the nervous system?" He couldn’t help but smile at the attack potency of the daggers, but he also couldn’t help but wonder what would have actually happened if Naga tried using the venom against them.
[You have received a Skill Rune Stone!]
Almost immediately, A purple stone materialized in Micheal’s hand, glowing faintly with an inner light. Strange inscriptions were etched across its surface, pulsing softly as if responding to his presence.
"This is a skill rune stone?"
In an instant, it shattered, releasing a burst of red aura that exploded outward before surging straight into his body.
[You have obtained the ability (VoidFire)]
[Ding! External Origin has been detected.]
[Ding! Origin Evolution System effect has been initialized!]
[Analyzing and extracting...]
[Analysis of A-rank Fire Origin is complete!]
[Extraction and evolution of F-rank Fire Origin is complete!]
[Ding! Conceptual limit of your skill has been overwritten!]
The energy surging into Micheal’s body shifted as it was absorbed. Its intensity changed rapidly, the red glow turned to light orange in color before brightening with every passing second. It pulsed through him like a living force, growing stronger and more concentrated as it settled within him.
It grew so bright that even the rest of his teammates who watched from afar had no choice but to shield her eyes with their arms.
[Since the beginning of time, only darkness existed. Then a single spark illuminated the void and giving birth to life. Now, that spark shall guide you. And you shall become the Pillar of Light that maintains the balance between the darkness and the light.]
Slowly, the light surrounding Michael died slowly, and the environment fell quiet as he took a deep breath.
[You have obtained the Divine Grade Skill: Celestial Spark.]
"Divine Grade?" Micheal’s eyes widened a bit as the notification flashed in front of him, he had gotten a new skill! And not just any skill, the Origin Evolution System had evolved that skill from A-rank to Divine Grade.
"Status." He whispered to himself.

[Trial points: Undecided.]
’Nature Energy consumption 500? Fuck me, I may have gotten a Divine Grade Skill, but my current Nature Energy is nowhere enough to completely utilize this skill efficiently, even though I already have more Nature Energy than the average Evolver.’
That alone was proof of how powerful of a skill the Celestial Spark was, and to make it worse, all his talent based abilities and skills were basically Divine Grade, and after using the 1st Genesis three times, his Nature Energy had dropped to 500.
"Hm?" Michael glanced over his shoulders, and found the his teammates a few feet away from him, their eyes wavering in disbelief as they stared at him.
Michael could already guess what was on their minds.
From the start of it all, even he hadn’t been able to comprehend the true power of his abilities, especially the 1st Genesis.
The ability to revert anything it touched to a state of nothingness.
It was the literal definition of being overpowered.
To erase something’s current existence and revert it to its original state, the pure darkness and nothingness from which everything had once come.
Even if he tried, there was no way he could explain it in a way that’d make them understand and come to accept it.
In their confusion, Alexia stepped forward with her arms crossed. The confusion on her face had completely disappeared, replaced by pure anger at the fact that Michael had kept this hidden arsenal of his a secret from them from the very start, feigning as just a member of Class C.
She stared at him coldly, then in one simple sentence, she asked. "Who are you?"
