As Areth finished looking around the store, he started to fly towards his parents’ house to give them a visit.

He thought about what he could do in the future.

Many things came to mind, like visiting other planets and becoming the strongest.Full novel: STAR QUEST — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Hmmm…

“I’m already trying to become a warrior, so becoming the strongest should be the logical option here…”

“But a little bit of exploration wouldn’t hurt either,” he thought while flying.

Eventually, he reached his destination.

He went inside by the front and saw that the house barely changed from when he moved out, same painting, same statues, but there was a broken vase that was clearly recently broken.

Areth removed his shoes and walked to the area where he thought he would meet his mother, the backyard.

As he stepped foot outside, he saw her, the same as she was years ago.

He greeted his mother and asked where his father was.

She told him that he was currently sent away to a mission, so he was currently absent.

“Since your father isn’t here, I haven’t been able to spar with someone like usual, so Areth, prepare yourself,” she said with a serious look on her face.

“Was that a threat??” He thought to himself, sweating in fear because of what she said.

“But first, I should look at her power level…” He thought while looking at her power level and was surprised by what he saw.

!?

…

“What the hell…”

“How did it go up so fast!?” This chapter was taken from g.com without permission.

“It makes me wonder, ‘how is my father stronger than her? ‘ He trains once every blue moon…” He thought to himself.

Areth took a combat stance before flying at his mother with a punch that she dodged with little effort.

The man quickly threw another punch, followed by a spinning kick that she avoided as Areth didn’t stop attacking, adding a flurry of punches as she blocked and parried every single attack with a single hand.

Tch!

“Even after almost 10 years, I still can’t get a real hit on her!”

As he continued his attacks, Areth started to grow frustrated and decided to put more strength into his attacks as he infused his fists with an aura, making them shine blue as he went in for a punch.

But unfortunately for him, she simply parried and countered his attack with a palm strike to his stomach, making him drop to his knees due to the impact.

WHAM!

“You’re getting better, but you keep letting your emotions get the best of you during combat.”

“You need to keep them in check so that it doesn’t lead to you being full of openings because you are rushing in like a wild monster. Understood?” She told him as he breathed heavily on the ground.

“Yes, mother….”

“…But I have a question.”

?

“What is it?” she asked him, curious about what he was going to say.

“Can you teach me how to manipulate my energy more efficiently?”

“I do not mind teaching my own child energy manipulation.”

“Now turn around and sit on the grass.”

“Okay.” He replied.

As he sat on the grass, his mother kneeled and put her hands on his back and started channeling her energy into him slowly, so as not to damage her child’s body. New chapters come out on novelping . com first.

“Concentrate.”

“If you take in the energy wrongfully even a single time, you won’t be able to use it again for at least 3000 years.”

!!!

“Got it!” He said as the energy within him grew around his body, he concentrated more on his lower heart above the pelvic area before calming himself as his Claurophia removed her hands from his back.

“Thanks, mom.” He said as he got up.

“I’m going to sleep now, goodnight.”

“Areth.”

“…Yes?”

“…I know you are an adult now, but I hope you come and visit us more often.”

“…”

“I’ll try.”

“Thank you.” She said, letting a small smile slip.

Areth saw her smile for what seemed like a long time, and eternity, as she always looked like a stone-cold soldier even when making a joke, but didn’t bring it up and simply replied back to her.

“Goodnight, Mom.”

“Goodnight, my son.”

Meanwhile, on another planet stood Hadel, sitting on a mountain made of sand, in a place that was entirely made of sand mountains and caves.

He lowered his gaze as he noticed a group being chased by a giant bug from below, and got up as he flew rapidly towards the family that was getting attacked by an enormous bug-like creature.

He quickly coated his hands with a blue aura before positioning his hands like claws as the energy around them took on a more claw-like appearance and swung at the bug as he went down, cutting it into pieces within a fraction of a second.

As the monster fell into pieces, the family thanked him for saving them, and He looked up in the sky as he sighed and wondered if he’d be back on the planet pulsar before next month.

“And I wonder what my son is doing…”
