The weekend passed as he stayed in his parents’ house, got his dorm key through the mail, and decided to visit his dorm.
The place was pretty empty, other than having two separate rooms with a bed each, so all he did was fill one of the two rooms with a television before closing the door and leaving for his parents’ house until the end of the weekend.
The following day, he went back to class and met with the other students, when Leikon asked him if he knew some students in other classes.
“I don’t know why you’re asking?” he replied when he was suddenly approached by another student from his class, the one he met in the spaceship shop, Inra.
“Hey, areth!” She shouted at him.
!?
“Oh hi Inra..”
“Have you guys seen the big guy?” She asked him
“You mean Turvan?” Leikon said as he sat down on a nearby chair.
“Yeah, I need to talk to him real quick. Have you seen him?”
“No, I didn’t,” Areth replied as she sighed, wondering where he had gone, as she wanted to spar with him in the training ground, but he was nowhere to be found.
“Maybe he had something important,” Leikon said, which Inra agreed to as Leikon asked Areth how he knew about Inra, and he replied that they met in a spaceship shop.
“A spaceship dealership?”
“Yup,” Inra replied to Leikon with a smile on her face.
“I see…”
“So you guys are friends or-” Leikon said as he leaned back his chair before jumping in his seat as he heard an eardrum-shattering shout from the class’s door.
“Everyone, get ready!”
“We will be training the basics of making energy blasts!” The man shouted. This chapter is updated first at g.com.
…
The entire class already knew who it was; it was their teacher, Valtez, who entered the classroom with seriousness as he explained to the group that they would need to change rooms for this lesson, so they all followed him to the training grounds in the same area they were in before, the flat, empty white zone of the training grounds.
“Activate the targets!” The man shouted as a dozen figure-shaped targets made out of a metallic structure appeared from the ground.
“Alright!”
”
“All you guys need is to generate a projectile using your energy by leading it to your hand, then you shoot it.”
“Let me do an example.”
Valtez concentrated his energy on his palm as raw, white energy appeared in front of it, shaped like a ball.
It flew out of his hand like a bullet towards one of the targets, making it explode on impact.
BOOM!
“You guys saw it, now try it as well.”
“And also, as long as you can send it forward and it damages the target significantly, it’s a pass.”
Upon seeing the technique he performed, every student attempted to do the same, with some immediately succeeding and others failing, but Areth didn’t really have a hard time channeling energy to his hands, thanks to his mother.
He gradually attempted to make a ball of energy, but something felt slightly off; it was easy, too easy.
“Weird,” he muttered to himself as he shot the ball of energy towards the iron figure, and as it made contact, it exploded with a lot more strength than the teacher’s shocking the students.
[YOU HAVE LEARNED: AURA BLAST(C)!]
“Great, a new skill-!”
“Next time, control the amount of energy you put in your projectiles!” The teacher yelled from afar, overlapping his thoughts.
“Sorry!” He quickly replied as he continued to practice his control over the amount of energy sent per blast until the class was over.
As the class finished, he made his way out of the training room when he passed near a group of students and accidentally bumped into one of them.
“Ah, sorry-” he said before getting cut off by an angry man with tattoos and a mean look on his face.
“You wanna fight!?” He said as he turned to face Areth, looking directly.
“…”
“What?” Areth replied in confusion.
“Come fight me then!”
“Let’s fight one-on-one in the training grounds!”
“Oooohh!” The rest of his group said in unison.
“Listen, I don’t have time for-” Areth said, turning around and walking away from him as the man cut him off.
“What are you, a coward?”
…
“Oooohh shit!” The rest of his group added, which made him visibly annoyed, as he turned back around and accepted his proposal, sighing before saying to the man in a cold tone.
“If you want to fight so badly, then let’s do it.”
ill be busy with something tomorrow, so the next chapter will be shorter.
