Later during the day, the young Areth asked his parents what would happen if he awakened, which surprised them as they had never told him about awakening in the first place.
“How do you know about that, Areth?” Claurophia asked him with a serious stare, which made him realize he probably should have kept it a secret before he thought about it for a few seconds and told them that he overheard it from a group that was walking nearby on the street earlier that day.
Both of the parents looked at each other before they both sighed.
“Well, we were going to tell you this one day anyway, so we might as well tell you now.” The Mother said.
“An awakening is something that happens to the majority of pulsarians, allowing them to wield powers and elements with mana, aura, ki, or the less common psychic energy.”
“Pulsarians awaken their powers around the age of 15, usually.”
“Even if the powers are unpredictable, we, full-blooded pulsarians, all gain flight upon awakening and a gradual strength increase of 700% over a span of 9000 years,” Hardel said.
“9000 years!?”
“What the fuck!?”
“How long can pulsarians live!?” Areth thought in shock at what he had just heard from the mouth of his father.
“Although you won’t notice an increase in strength if you don’t become a fighter and become stronger.”
“Other than that, it would be better for your future if you followed the same path as us and became a pulsarian warrior for the planet Pulsar by the combat school, where they would teach you how to fly properly, how to fight other enemies, and how to fight in wars,” Claurophia added.
“Oh, okay!” Areth let out.
“Also, I saw you move earlier, you were quite fast, you surprised me!”
“I guess you awakened, which is why you asked us that question, but at 10 years old…”
“Our son is a prodigy!” He happily said as he lifted him up.
The boy wanted him to stop lifting him, but his childish body couldn’t stop itself from giggling.
“I guess we’re going to make you attend the combat school,” Claurophia said as Hadel flew around carrying Areth.
And just like that, he spent the following years training with his mother and father, learning skills from both of them as preparation for the Warrior’s entrance exam while also gaining knowledge in a normal school until he hit 19, as his mother told him that it was a hard exam even for her, which he didn’t question, as it came from his “always training” mother.
“Alright,” the young man said as he took his first step into the school.
His appearance greatly changed, with his height and overall body being taller and closer to an adult pulsarian; he could finally freely act like a 29-plus-19-year-old while not looking weird since the student age range here was more vast, like a college.
His hair was long, slightly spikey, and silver.
For the event, he wore what was on the invitation letter, casual clothes, so he came in with a hoodie, gray jeans, and sneakers.
As he went in, he noticed that there were a lot more people than expected, and wondered if this school was really that good for everyone to show up for the entrance exams when his attention quickly went elsewhere.
A woman who wore a pulsarian warrior’s outfit walked in front of all of the attendees and shouted:
“Attention, all attendees, the king will now present himself and announce the exam for this year’s competitors!” She said as a dark-skinned man with silver hair, eyelashes, and eyes, wearing a black suit, a red ermine cape, and a crown, slowly descended on the terrain below him from the sky as his cape flowed in the wind.
“Welcome, future warriors. My name is Silva Orcheus, and I am the king of Pulsar.”
