The two stayed silent for a few seconds as Areth profited from this moment to look at her power level.

“She’s in the same tier as me,” Areth said as the woman dashed at him, throwing a punch at his face, while he was distracted, that he barely dodged.
The man threw a punch of his own that she caught with her right hand before Areth quickly punched her with his left hand, which connected as she was sent a few meters away, but caught her own fall as she used flight to rebalance herself on her feet.
“Okay, I’ll admit, you’re not as easy as I taught you to be.”
“So I’ll take this more seriously,” Mandrat said as pitch-black energy started to emit around her body, surprising Areth as she closed the gap between them in a split second before kicking his chin and quickly spinning her body using flight to go for a spinning kick that Areth blocks with his right arm, sending him meters away.
“I was expecting her to be all talk.”
“But she seems to be backing up what she claimed to do.” He thought while blocking and parrying her barrage of punches, when he suddenly dodged one of her attacks and quickly infused his fist with pale blue energy before punching her in the stomach with so much strength it cracked the ground behind her.
UGH!
The woman felt the punch as she showed signs of pain on her face, but didn’t fall, and proceeded to throw a punch of her own at his face, but Areth didn’t fall either, as the two proceeded to trade blows with each being stronger than the last, both of them started to bleed, but neither of them fell.
Tch!
“Guess I have no choice!” She said as her pitch dark energy started to outgrow her physical body.
[SHADOW DOMAIN]!
Suddenly, her energy took over the area inside the barrier, covering the entire place and herself in complete darkness.
“Alright, now he can’t see me, so I’ll just get this over with.” Mandrat thought as she slowly walked towards him.
Areth couldn’t see a thing and put himself in a defensive position, then prepared himself for a sneak attack, but nothing came at him.

Areth was confused; he didn’t let his guard down because he thought that maybe it was what she was waiting for.
When out of nowhere, a punch flew directly at his stomach, which resulted in him dropping his guard subconsciously.
Then another punch came at his left, which he luckily caught before another came from the right, making him lose balance and fall on one knee with blood coming out of his mouth.
However, he still had a tight grip on her hand so that she couldn’t leave his range of attack, and he tightly clenched his fists and punched her in the face multiple times, to the point that she tried to make distance but couldn’t.
“Let go, you fuck!” She angrily said.
As the two were trading blows, they didn’t notice that the entrance exam was over, and continued to ruthlessly hit each other before the king stepped into Mandrat’s shadow domain, shocking both of them.

“The exam is over, you two can stop now.” He told both of them.
Mandrat’s shadow domain disappeared, revealing that both of them were bloodied, and Areth let go of her as she pulled out a tissue from her pocket and wiped the blood off her face, before telling him that he was lucky that the test was finished.
“Five more minutes and you would have been on the ground.” He replied.
Hmph!
“Whatever you say, trash.” She says as Silva flew back to the front of the area and raised his voice.
“Congratulations to the remaining 400 contestants, you have succeeded in passing the combat test!” He said while clapping his hands.
“However, there is an even more painful test incoming…”
“More painful?”
“It can’t be that bad.” Areth thought to himself.
“The written test!” Silva said with a deep and evil voice, making all the participants sulk as they realized they would have to sit on a chair for the following 3 hours.
Random fact: The current king of Planet Pulsar, Silva Orcheus, is the main character of a novel I stopped working on like a year ago called “VELTARO”.
