The conflicts on Mandalore were growing more intense with each passing day.
Numerous small skirmishes had already erupted between the traditional clans and the pacifist faction led by Duke Kryze.
The latter enjoyed greater support from the general population.
The people were tired of the wars that had reduced Mandalore to its current state, forcing them to live beneath domes as if they were animals.
Based on the timeline I had reconstructed from Satine Kryze’s birth, we were currently around 48 BBY—forty-eight years before the Battle of Yavin.
There were still six years left before the conflict escalated into a full-scale war, an event that would coincide with the arrival of Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi.
At that time, they would protect Satine, and she would eventually establish herself as the new Duchess and supreme ruler of Mandalore, exiling the traditional clans to Concordia.
Of course, that did not happen overnight.
Even after the Jedi arrived, it took her nearly two years to achieve it.
I still had not decided whether I would become involved in that war.
What I did know was that sooner or later it would reach my doorstep, and I would have to choose a side.
I had always considered Duchess Satine both beautiful and an exceptional leader.
Although she was somewhat too idealistic for my tastes, she remained unwaveringly committed to her pacifist beliefs.
At times, that could be frustrating.
Still, it was difficult to hate someone like her.
I also learned something interesting.
The contact my mother had on Mandalore was none other than Satine’s mother, with whom she had maintained a friendship for many years.
It was thanks to her assistance that we acquired our cargo ships more quickly and at reasonable prices.
For those reasons, I decided that I would support Satine.
However, I would not do so publicly—not yet.
Our clan was still developing, and revealing our position too early could be counterproductive.
When the right moment arrived, I would stand by her side.
Sorry, Obi-Wan, but it never worked out between the two of you.
It was a tragedy that Satine died because of him at the hands of Darth Maul.
I do not consider myself a savior or anything like that.
I simply want to live my life to the fullest and lead my clan toward prosperity.
If things work out with Satine, that would be wonderful.
But this universe is vast and filled with beautiful women.
I have no intention of having only one partner.
Polygamy is practiced on many worlds and is not viewed negatively in this galaxy.
Having a harem was always one of my dreams.
That said, I am not going to pursue a relationship with every beautiful woman I encounter.
I still have limits.
As an old Chinese saying goes:
Three wives and four concubines.
That would be the maximum number of partners I would ever have.
Cough, cough…
I think I drifted away from the main topic for a moment.
As I was saying, there were still six years before a large-scale war would begin.
My preparations were already underway, and the results would become visible in roughly four years.
All I had to do was wait, continue my training, and keep developing my droid factory.
Destiny is forged through decisions and actions.
Mine had already begun. New chapters come out on g.com first.
Four Years Later…
Over the past few years, my clan had expanded on a massive scale.
The preparations made in the past had finally borne fruit, and we were no longer easy prey for the larger clans.
At present, we possessed thirty medium cargo ships capable of carrying one hundred tons each and five large cargo vessels with capacities of one thousand tons.
Our escort fleet had expanded to ten modified light gunships, now equipped with more advanced weapons systems.
We had also purchased four Kom’rk-class fighters to escort the larger freighters.
These vessels were faster, more maneuverable, and far deadlier in space battles against pirates.
In addition, each could transport up to twenty-four passengers besides the pilot, a capability that proved invaluable when protecting cargo shipments on planetary surfaces.
Not all of those twenty-four passengers were warriors.
However, during the last four years, our population had increased significantly.
We now numbered:
10,000 inhabitants
Of them:
200 Blood Cubs
300 Fierce Fangs
50 Dark Wolf Guardians
3 Abyss Wolf Lords
This population growth was primarily the result of migration from smaller traditional Mandalorian clans whose homes had been destroyed.
Of course, every newcomer had to pass a screening process.
Only those who successfully passed were accepted.
Each gunship crew consisted of a pilot and a six-person team:
A team leader who held the rank of Dark Wolf Guardian,
Five Fierce Fangs,
And an R2D2-series astromech droid.
The fighters employed a similar crew structure.
However, after completing my droid workshop project, I created my own battle droid:
The F1 Series Battle Droid.
They were superior to B1 battle droids.
They had greater combat endurance, stood 1.93 meters tall, and possessed medium-grade armor capable of withstanding between four and seven shots from a standard blaster.
At first, I considered building only elite droids, but reality proved otherwise: they were simply too expensive to produce.
Even though I had access to the resources of the Forest of Origin, I could not justify the cost.
So I decided to start with these droids.
While they were not elite units, they clearly outperformed the B1s.
All of them were controlled by my Super Command Droid, which utilized the artificial intelligence of the Library of Knowledge.
I named it Omega, my super assistant.
It is my left hand, while Athena will always remain my primary advisor.
Each fighter carried two squads of F1 droids.
Their composition consisted of seven soldiers and one squad leader.
They performed patrol, surveillance, and basic combat duties.
Their combat effectiveness was:
Individual Combat: Medium
Close-Quarters Combat: Medium
Long-Range Combat: Low
Our growth was advancing at an incredible pace, and the population alone could not keep up.
Droids were the most efficient solution for covering a variety of roles.
At present, we maintain one company of F1 droids (128 units), organized into four platoons (32 units each) or sixteen squads (8 units each).
They are assigned to different missions: clan security, cargo escort, and protection of agricultural plantations on planetary surfaces.
I could manufacture more, but this is the maximum our economy can currently support.
Droids require constant maintenance and repairs after combat operations.
Our potatoes had become well known throughout the Outer Rim and even in several Mid Rim worlds.
We had expanded our plantations as much as possible within clan territory and along the outer edges of the forest.
Now we were searching for a planet that we could colonize in order to increase production, since potatoes remained our primary source of income.
I also planned to enter the medical industry.
Medical droids could already be mass-produced, and thanks to our network of contacts, it would only be a matter of time before we opened clinics across various Outer Rim worlds.
Each clinic would have its own squad of F1 droids to prevent incidents.
As we all know, many Outer Rim planets are dominated by pirates, smugglers, and criminal organizations.
As for me, I am now sixteen years old.
The First Form of Fenrir’s Spear remains at the Advanced level.
Advancing it to the Master level has proven far more difficult than I expected.
I have mastered the Second Form, Fenrir’s Fury, at the Competent level.
The Third Form, Fenrir’s Ambush, has only recently reached the Beginner level.
Although I am still a Grand Fierce Fang, I can already fight Dark Wolf Guardians on equal footing.
My companions have also improved tremendously.
Each obtained their Chaos Crystal and forged their own weapon.
We had become the most powerful team under my aunt’s leadership.
We traveled to many worlds on bounty hunting, escort, and protection missions.
We had been carrying out these assignments for a year and possessed the highest success rate among all teams.
In the underworld, people had begun to recognize me.
They nicknamed me “The Wolf of Calamity” because of my distinctive attire and because I never brought criminals back alive.
I brought chaos and destruction to anyone I considered an abomination upon the world.
What I felt was not justice.
It was the satisfaction of proving that no one is invincible before the edge of my spear.
Meanwhile, Ragnar had grown to the size of an adult lion.
He could now move through space within a radius of two kilometers and was capable of carrying me with him, though it was still dangerous.
He needed more time to stabilize his spatial rifts.
Furthermore, each journey consumed a great deal of his physical stamina, limiting him to a maximum of two uses per day.
We were currently around the year 44 BBY.
The war on Mandalore had escalated faster than I expected.
I thought I still had two more years.
But the clans of Concordia had already begun to move, especially those belonging to House Vizsla.
We could no longer remain on the sidelines.
It was time to take Concordia.
And ensure that it belonged solely to Clan Fen’ruus.
May destiny be.
