The first rays of the morning sun slowly illuminated the ancient stone structures of Sri Parthasarathy Swamy Temple.
Golden light reflected from the temple gopuram while the sound of bells echoed throughout the sacred complex.
The fragrance of jasmine flowers, sandalwood, camphor, and incense filled the air, creating an atmosphere that felt both peaceful and divine.
By now, most of the invited guests had arrived and taken their seats inside the specially arranged ceremonial hall.
Since such a gathering was incredibly rare, many famous actors and film personalities were happily chatting with one another.
After all, it wasn’t every day that leading stars from Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam cinema gathered under one roof for a family celebration.
Rajinikanth and N.T.
Rama Rao were discussing the growth of regional cinema and how audiences were changing over time.
Nearby, Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Sivaji Ganesan shared old stories from their early acting days, causing the younger generation to listen attentively.
Several producers, directors, and actors occasionally joined these conversations, making the atmosphere feel more like a reunion of old friends than a formal celebrity gathering.
Ram quietly observed everything from his mother’s lap.
Even after knowing these people in his previous life, seeing them together in person still felt unbelievable.
Some of these men were considered living legends who had built entire industries through their hard work and dedication.
Others would become future superstars whose names would dominate cinema for decades.
For a movie lover like him, this scene was nothing short of extraordinary.
Meanwhile, little Shruthi was sitting beside Sarika while continuously glancing toward Ram.
Every few seconds she would try to crawl in his direction before being gently stopped by her mother.
The determined baby looked completely unconvinced by these restrictions, making several nearby women laugh softly.
Sushmita, on the other hand, was proudly seated close to her younger brother.
She looked as though she personally owned the privilege of sitting beside him.
Whenever anyone else approached Ram, she immediately straightened her back and watched them carefully, making the adults smile at her protective behavior.
Soon, the chief priest entered the ceremonial area accompanied by several assistant priests.
The conversations gradually came to an end.
Guests respectfully settled into their places while family members gathered around the designated ritual platform.
The sacred fire altar had already been prepared, and various ceremonial items were neatly arranged according to tradition.
Ram noticed numerous items placed around the ritual space.
A decorated Kalash filled with holy water stood prominently at the center.
Fresh mango leaves emerged from its opening while a coconut rested on top, symbolizing prosperity and divine blessings.
Nearby were plates containing turmeric rice, sandalwood paste, kumkum, flowers, betel leaves, fruits, and various offerings required for the ceremony.
The priests began by explaining the significance of the Naamkarana Samskara.
According to Hindu tradition, Naamkarana is one of the sixteen important Samskaras, or sacred rites of passage, performed during a person’s lifetime.
The ceremony marks the formal naming of a child and is believed to invoke divine blessings for health, prosperity, wisdom, and a successful future.
It also symbolizes the child’s official entry into society and family lineage.
The first ritual was Punyahavachanam.
The chief priest chanted powerful Vedic mantras while sprinkling sanctified water around the ceremonial area.
Holy water was gently sprinkled on Chiranjeevi, Surekha, and baby Ram.
The purpose of this ritual was purification and the removal of any negative influences before the sacred ceremony began.
The rhythmic chanting created an atmosphere of serenity throughout the temple hall.
Even the children present became unusually quiet.
The next stage involved Ganesh Puja.
A beautifully decorated idol of Lord Ganesha had been placed nearby.
The priests offered flowers, fruits, and prayers while chanting hymns dedicated to the remover of obstacles.
According to Hindu belief, beginning any important event with Lord Ganesha’s blessings ensures smooth success and removes unforeseen difficulties.
Chiranjeevi and Surekha followed the priest’s instructions carefully.
Both appeared deeply focused on the sacred proceedings.
After the Ganesh Puja came the Navagraha Puja.
The nine celestial planets were invoked through specific mantras and offerings.
The priests explained that the ritual sought favorable planetary influences for the child’s future.
Good health, intelligence, longevity, and prosperity were among the blessings requested during this stage of the ceremony.
Ram listened with interest.
Although he possessed memories from another life, he respected the traditions being performed.
He knew how important such rituals were to many families across India, especially for a newborn child.
The next stage was perhaps the most visually striking.
The Havan.
A sacred fire was lit inside the Havan Kund while the priests continuously chanted Vedic mantras.
Ghee, grains, herbs, and other sacred offerings were poured into the fire.
The flames danced brightly as smoke carrying the fragrance of sandalwood rose toward the temple ceiling.
According to tradition, Agni, the Fire God, serves as a divine messenger who carries prayers and offerings to the gods.
The priests carefully explained the significance of each offering.
Every mantra carried a specific meaning.
Every ritual had symbolic importance.
The atmosphere gradually became more spiritual with each passing moment.
Many guests folded their hands respectfully while watching the sacred ceremony unfold.
Even the industry legends sitting nearby maintained complete silence, demonstrating their respect for the occasion.
As the Havan neared completion, the chief priest checked the ceremonial timings once more.
Then he smiled.
The most important part of the ceremony was about to begin.
The naming of the child.
Ram instinctively became more alert.
After all, this was the moment he had been waiting for.
The moment when he would officially receive the name that would accompany him throughout this new life.
As the sacred fire gradually settled and the final offerings were made into the Havan Kund, a peaceful silence descended upon the ceremonial hall.
The fragrance of sandalwood and burning herbs lingered in the air while the temple bells echoed faintly in the distance.
Every guest present understood that the most important moment of the ceremony had finally arrived.
The chief priest carefully consulted the child’s birth details once more.
Several palm-leaf style records and astrological charts had been prepared beforehand.
According to Hindu tradition, a child’s name is often associated with their Janma Nakshatra, or birth star.
Based on the planetary positions at the time of birth, specific syllables or starting sounds are considered particularly auspicious.
After a few moments of calculation, the chief priest nodded with satisfaction.
“The child’s Nakshatra and horoscope are highly favorable,” he announced.
“According to the astrological alignment, the most auspicious starting syllable for his name is ‘Ra’.”
Many family members immediately exchanged glances.
The suggestions had already been discussed privately over the past few days, but hearing the priest officially confirm the syllable made the moment feel more significant.
Chiranjeevi and Surekha looked toward each other briefly before smiling.
Meanwhile, Ram listened carefully.
He had already assumed what would happen next.
After all, his father was Chiranjeevi.
Naturally, he believed his own name would probably follow a similar pattern.
However, reality had other plans.
The chief priest gestured toward a large bronze plate placed before Chiranjeevi.
The plate had been filled with uncooked rice that had been spread into a smooth layer.
Beside it rested a gold ring specially prepared for the naming ritual.
Following the priest’s instructions, Chiranjeevi gently took the gold ring and carefully wrote the chosen name across the rice.
Every guest watched attentively.
The atmosphere felt solemn and sacred.
The scratching sound of the gold ring moving through the rice seemed unusually clear within the silent hall.
A few seconds later, the name was complete.
The priest smiled.
“Please announce the child’s name.”
Chiranjeevi looked down at his son for a brief moment.
Then he spoke clearly.
“From this day onward, my son’s name shall be Raman Konidela.”
For a moment, Ram froze.
Raman?
Not Ram Charan.
Not any name he had expected.
Raman Konidela.
His mind blanked for several seconds.
He honestly hadn’t seen that coming.
The guests immediately began smiling and congratulating the family.
Several elders nodded approvingly while discussing the name’s meaning and auspiciousness.
Meanwhile, Ram was still processing the situation.
Raman.
His new name was Raman.
At first he felt slightly surprised.
In his previous assumptions, he had unconsciously expected events to follow the real-world timeline he remembered.
However, as the initial shock faded, another memory surfaced.
The System’s earlier warning.
This world was not his original world.
It was a parallel world.
A world where similarities existed.
But differences would always remain.
As that realization settled in his mind, Ram slowly relaxed.
Honestly, he didn’t dislike the name.
In fact, the more he thought about it, the more comfortable he felt.
This wasn’t someone else’s identity.
This wasn’t a life he was borrowing from another person.
This was his own identity.
His own path.
His own future.
A future that belonged to Raman Konidela alone.
The chief priest then instructed Chiranjeevi to proceed with the next step of the ritual.
According to tradition, the father must whisper the chosen name into the child’s right ear four times while reciting prayers for longevity and prosperity.
Chiranjeevi carefully lifted his son and held him close.
His expression carried both pride and affection.
Then, leaning toward the baby’s ear, he softly whispered.
“Raman.”
A brief prayer followed.
Then once again.
“Raman.”
The ritual continued until the name had been spoken four times according to tradition.
The simplicity of the moment somehow felt more meaningful than all the grand arrangements surrounding it.
It was a father’s blessing.
A father’s hope. Find the original chapter at g.com.
A father’s dream for his child.
Surekha’s eyes became slightly moist as she watched the scene unfold.
Her husband gently handed the baby back to her.
She looked down at her son and softly repeated the name.
“Raman.”
A beautiful smile appeared on her face.
Nearby, Sushmita immediately accepted the decision.
“My brother’s name is Raman!”
She proudly announced it to everyone within hearing distance.
The adults laughed.
Even Shruthi seemed strangely interested.
The little girl stared at Ram for several seconds before happily muttering.
“Ra…
maa…”
Although she failed to pronounce the name properly, the attempt itself caused another round of laughter.
Sarika shook her head helplessly while Kamal Haasan smiled in amusement.
The ceremony wasn’t over yet.
Following tradition, a beautifully decorated cradle had been prepared nearby.
Colorful flowers, silk cloth, and garlands adorned the cradle, making it one of the highlights of the celebration.
Ram was gently placed inside.
Family members gathered around while blessings poured in from every direction.
Flowers were showered over him.
Akshat, sacred rice grains mixed with turmeric, were sprinkled gently.
Prayers for health, wisdom, success, and happiness filled the air.
One by one, elders approached to bless the child.
N.T.
Rama Rao offered his blessings.
Akkineni Nageswara Rao followed shortly after.
Krishna, Rajinikanth, Sivaji Ganesan, Dr.
Rajkumar, Mammootty, Mohanlal, and many others also extended their heartfelt wishes.
For the guests, it was a simple blessing ceremony.
For Ram, however, the scene felt surreal.
Legends of Indian cinema were blessing him on the day he officially received his name.
It was the kind of moment that would have sounded absurd in his previous life.
Yet here he was.
Living it.
Eventually, the formal rituals came to an end.
The priests concluded the ceremony with final prayers and blessings.
Family members thanked them respectfully while guests gradually relaxed and resumed their conversations.
Soon afterward, the feast began.
Traditional South Indian meals were served on banana leaves.
The aroma alone was enough to make people hungry.
Rows of guests sat together while volunteers and temple staff served dish after dish with remarkable efficiency.
Conversations filled the dining area as old friends reunited and families enjoyed the joyous occasion.
The atmosphere felt warm.
Comfortable.
Filled with genuine happiness.
Children ran around playfully.
Industry veterans shared stories from decades past.
Family members laughed together.
For several hours, the temple remained filled with celebration.
Eventually, however, every gathering must come to an end.
As the afternoon sun slowly shifted across the sky, guests began offering their final congratulations before departing.
One by one, the legendary actors, producers, and families started leaving the temple.
Yet before departing, many of them took a final look at the child whose naming ceremony had brought together so many prominent figures.
Few of them realized it.
Perhaps none of them realized it.
But the baby they had blessed today would one day stand among the very legends they admired.
And perhaps…
Even surpass them.
As Ram rested peacefully in his mother’s arms, he looked toward the temple ceiling and silently smiled.
His new life had officially begun.
His name was no longer Ravi.
Nor was he borrowing someone else’s destiny.
From this day onward…
He was Raman Konidela.
And his story was only just beginning.
To be Continued….
