The year was 1988.
A warm ray of morning sunlight streamed through the large windows of the Konidela residence, bathing the spacious living room in a soft golden glow.
Outside, a gentle breeze carried the sweet fragrance of blooming jasmine from the garden, making the peaceful morning feel even more refreshing.
That peaceful silence, however, lasted only a few moments.
A tiny figure suddenly crawled across the polished wooden floor with surprising speed.
His little hands and knees moved confidently, almost as though he had an important destination in mind.
Behind him came an excited little girl with neatly tied ponytails, laughing as she tried to catch up.
“Ram!”
“Wait for me!
Don’t crawl away!”
The little boy turned around for a brief moment before flashing a mischievous grin at his elder sister.
Then, as if accepting her challenge, he crawled even faster.
Inside that tiny body, however, the soul of an adult could only sigh helplessly.
“At least crawling feels natural now…
that’s progress.”
Although he had been reborn with the memories of his previous life, his body still had to develop like every other child.
Over the past several months, he had practiced every single day.
Now, crawling no longer felt awkward.
Better yet, he could pull himself upright by holding onto a chair, a table, or the edge of a sofa.
He still couldn’t stand for very long.
Usually, after four or five seconds, his tiny legs would begin wobbling uncontrollably before he slowly landed on the carpet with a tiny pout.
Even then, every small achievement was celebrated by the family as though he had accomplished something extraordinary.
Before Ram could continue his little adventure, a familiar pair of gentle hands scooped him into the air.
“There you are.”
Surekha smiled lovingly before kissing his forehead.
“Our little explorer has been making everyone chase him since morning.”
Ram blinked innocently before wrapping his tiny arms around her neck.
During the past two years, he had gradually accepted this new life.
His previous life had been filled with deadlines, pressure, loneliness, and endless responsibilities.
This life was completely different.
Every morning began with laughter.
Every meal was shared with family.
Every small achievement was celebrated with genuine happiness.
Sometimes, he still wondered if this peaceful life was simply a dream.
Across the room, Chiranjeevi had just finished his morning workout.
Even after exercising, his posture remained straight and confident.
A thin layer of sweat glistened across his forehead as he smiled upon seeing his son stretching both tiny hands toward him.
“So…”
“My little champion wants Nana?”
Ram immediately leaned forward excitedly.
The moment Chiranjeevi lifted him into his arms, something unexpected happened.
Without thinking, Ram opened his mouth.
“Daa…”
Chiranjeevi froze.
Ram frowned slightly before trying once more.
“Daa…
Daa…”
The entire living room suddenly became silent.
Surekha stopped where she stood.
Sushmitha’s eyes widened.
Even the house staff paused their work.
Ram gathered all the strength he could manage before speaking again.
“Dada…”
For a single heartbeat, nobody reacted.
Then Chiranjeevi burst into laughter.
“He spoke!”
“He actually spoke!”
“My son called me!”
His usual calm composure disappeared instantly as pure fatherly joy took over.
Laughing like an excited child, he lifted Ram high into the air before hugging him tightly.
Surekha’s eyes became moist.
“Our little boy…”
“He’s growing up so quickly.”
She gently stroked Ram’s soft hair, unable to hide the happiness on her face.
The entire household seemed to celebrate together.
Servants smiled.
Relatives congratulated one another.
Even the elderly family members watching from nearby couldn’t stop smiling.
Only one person looked completely dissatisfied.
Sushmitha slowly folded both arms across her chest before puffing out her cheeks dramatically.
“No fair.”
Ram looked at her with innocent curiosity.
She marched over until she stood directly in front of him.
“You should’ve called me first!”
Ram simply blinked.
Sushmitha proudly pointed at herself.
“From today onwards, your first important job is learning my name.”
Surekha laughed softly.
“Oh?”
“So you’ve become his teacher now?”
Sushmitha nodded with complete seriousness.
“Exactly.”
Without waiting for permission, she gently carried Ram to the sofa and carefully sat beside him.
She pointed toward herself again.
“Listen carefully.”
“My name is…”
“Su…”
“Sh…”
“Mi…”
She repeated each syllable slowly while making exaggerated expressions.
Ram watched her carefully.
“Su…”
Sushmitha immediately clapped excitedly.
“Very good!”
“Again!”
Ram thought for a moment before smiling brightly.
“Su…”
He paused dramatically.
Then happily finished.
“Su Su!”
Silence filled the room.
For exactly two seconds.
Then laughter exploded throughout the living room.
Chiranjeevi leaned against the wall, laughing so hard that tears almost appeared in his eyes.
Surekha covered her mouth, unable to stop giggling.
Even the house staff exchanged amused smiles.
Meanwhile, Sushmitha looked completely devastated.
She slowly collapsed backward onto the sofa.
“I’ve been teaching you for ten whole minutes!”
Ram simply giggled in his childish voice.
Seeing his adorable smile, Sushmitha tried her best to stay upset.
She lasted exactly three seconds.
Finally, she pinched his soft cheek before pulling him into a gentle hug.
“Fine.”
“I forgive you.”
“But tomorrow…”
“We’ll continue your lessons.”
Ram mentally sighed.
“Looks like my language classes have officially begun.”
The cheerful laughter echoed throughout the entire house, making the peaceful morning feel even warmer.
Over the following days, Ram’s balance continued improving little by little.
Every afternoon, he practiced standing while holding onto chairs, tables, and even the garden fence whenever an adult was nearby to watch him.
Whenever he managed to remain standing for a few extra seconds, the family applauded enthusiastically.
To everyone else, they were celebrating a baby’s growth.
To Ram, however, each tiny improvement meant something much bigger.
Freedom.
The sooner he learned to walk, the sooner he could stop being carried everywhere like an adorable stuffed toy.
One pleasant Sunday morning, Surekha looked at the children and smiled.
“You two have been inside the house all week.”
“I think it’s time we went somewhere.”
Sushmitha’s face instantly brightened.
“The park?”
Surekha nodded.
“Yes.”
“The weather is beautiful today.”
Sushmitha jumped excitedly before rushing upstairs to grab her favorite hat.
Meanwhile, Ram clapped his tiny hands.
Although he still couldn’t run around like other children, simply being outside sounded wonderful.
A short while later, the family car slowly left the Konidela residence and made its way toward one of Hyderabad’s peaceful neighborhood parks.
None of them realized that what seemed like an ordinary family outing would unexpectedly change Ram’s life.
Because somewhere inside that very park…
A chance meeting was waiting.
One that would become his very first step into the dazzling world of cameras, advertisements, and eventually…
Cinema itself.
As the clock crept closer to the noon hour, the shadows on the grass began to shorten, signaling that it was time to head home and prepare an early dinner.
As they gathered their belongings and walked toward the park gates, a smartly dressed young man and a woman carrying a leather briefcase purposefully stepped into their path.
Ram’s mother stopped in her tracks, her expression shifting into one of deep caution and confusion as she instinctively pulled her children closer.
The man quickly picked up on her apprehension, bowing slightly and introducing himself as the newly appointed marketing head of the Snuggy diaper company.
He explained that they had been observing Ram’s expressive face and active movements in the park and wished to discuss a potential business corporation.
Though the proposition sounded incredibly official, she knew better than to negotiate with complete strangers or invite unknown entities into her home while her husband was away.
Remaining polite yet firm, she declined to discuss the matter further on the street and instead noted down their credentials, handing them Chiranjeevi’s personal office number to handle the formal communications.
The marketing team nodded respectfully, thanking her for her time before stepping aside to let the family pass.
When she finally reached home later that evening, a phone call from her husband confirmed that the encounter was entirely legitimate.
Chiranjeevi explained that Snuggy was a newly established Indian baby diaper company locked in a fierce market battle with massive global conglomerates trying to dominate the domestic market.
Chiranjeevi’s voice held a tone of serious contemplation over the wire as he detailed the company’s ambitious vision to his wife.
“They want our son Ram to be the official face of Snuggy diapers because they saw his energetic spirit in the park,” he explained, noting that this partnership could provide them with invaluable corporate connections in the booming Mumbai business market.
Money was not their primary motivation, as the family was already financially secure, but the strategic networking opportunities were far too significant to ignore.
His wife agreed with his foresight, nodding silently into the receiver as they jointly decided to accept the corporate offer, setting off a whirlwind of preparations for the upcoming commercial shoot.
The Advertisement Shooting Day
The bright studio lights illuminated the colorful advertisement set, transforming it into a cheerful little nursery filled with soft toys, colorful balloons, tiny wooden blocks, and playful decorations.
Everything had been carefully arranged to create a warm atmosphere that would instantly make parents smile.
Several technicians hurried around adjusting the cameras while the lighting crew made final changes.
The advertising director walked around with a clipboard in his hand, carefully checking every angle before finally nodding in satisfaction.
“Excellent,” he said.
“Let’s begin with the first scene.”
Nearby, Surekha gently adjusted Ram’s tiny Snuggy diaper before fixing the little blue shirt that perfectly matched his sparkling crystal-blue eyes.
His black hair had been neatly combed, making him look even more adorable than usual.
Chiranjeevi folded his arms while quietly watching his son from a short distance.
Although he had complete faith in Ram, he still felt slightly nervous.
After all, this was his little boy’s very first appearance before professional cameras.
Sushmitha, meanwhile, proudly stood beside her younger brother with both hands resting on her waist.
“My brother is definitely going to become the cutest baby in the whole country,” she declared confidently.
Everyone nearby couldn’t help laughing at her unwavering confidence.
Ram, on the other hand, simply blinked at the enormous cameras pointed toward him.
“So these are movie cameras…”
His adult mind immediately became interested.
He carefully observed the placement of the lights, the movement of the camera trolley, and even the way the cinematographer adjusted the lens before each shot.
Even though he was only two years old on the outside, his previous life’s experiences allowed him to notice countless details that an ordinary child never would.
The director smiled after watching Ram curiously examine everything around him.
“What an unusually calm child,” he commented softly.
“Most babies start crying the moment they see this many strangers.”
The marketing manager standing beside him nodded.
“I had the same thought in the park.”
“He doesn’t panic.”
“He simply observes.”
Soon the assistant director clapped the slate loudly.
“Advertisement One!”
“Take One!”
“Action!”
The first commercial was intentionally simple.
Ram was gently placed on a colorful play mat surrounded by soft stuffed animals and building blocks.
His task was merely to crawl around naturally while smiling.
Normally, babies would become frightened under such bright lights.
Ram did the exact opposite.
He happily crawled toward a colorful teddy bear before picking it up with both tiny hands.
Curious, he tilted his head before giving it a gentle hug.
The innocent action instantly melted everyone’s hearts.
“Aww…”
Several female crew members covered their mouths while smiling.
“Too cute…”
Even the cameraman almost forgot to continue filming.
The director immediately shouted happily.
“Don’t stop rolling!”
“This is perfect!”
Ram then noticed a small toy train nearby.
Instead of randomly grabbing it, he slowly crawled toward it with surprising balance before gently pushing it across the floor while giggling softly.
His natural expressions looked completely unscripted.
Every smile.
Every blink.
Every laugh.
Everything felt genuine.
After nearly two minutes, the director finally raised his hand.
“Cut!”
The entire studio erupted into applause.
The marketing executives exchanged excited glances.
“This is unbelievable.”
“We haven’t even needed a second take.”
One elderly cameraman laughed loudly.
“This little fellow is the easiest baby I’ve ever filmed.”
Chiranjeevi couldn’t stop the proud smile spreading across his face.
Although he had expected Ram to do well, seeing everyone praise his son still filled his heart with joy.
Surekha gently kissed Ram’s forehead.
“My brave little boy…”
Sushmitha immediately hugged him tightly.
“I told everyone!”
“My brother is the cutest!”
Ram could only sigh helplessly inside.
“At least don’t squeeze me…”
The second advertisement focused on Snuggy’s main promise—keeping babies dry and comfortable throughout the day.
The set had now been redesigned to resemble a peaceful bedroom.
Soft white curtains fluttered gently as warm morning sunlight streamed through the windows.
Ram was placed on a tiny bed covered with colorful blankets.
The director explained the concept.
“We want parents to feel that babies sleep peacefully because of Snuggy.”
“Natural expressions only.”
Fortunately, Ram didn’t need to force anything.
After playing for almost an hour earlier, he was genuinely beginning to feel sleepy.
He rubbed his tiny eyes before yawning adorably.
Then he slowly hugged a small pillow and curled into a comfortable position.
Within moments, he had actually fallen asleep.
Silence filled the studio.
Nobody dared move.
Even the cameramen reduced every unnecessary sound.
The peaceful sleeping child looked almost angelic beneath the gentle lighting.
One makeup artist whispered softly,
“He looks like a little prince.”
The director smiled widely.
“This…”
“This is exactly what we wanted.”
“No acting.”
“Only innocence.”
When the take finally ended, everyone carefully applauded without making too much noise, afraid of waking him.
Nearly half an hour later, Ram slowly opened his eyes.
He blinked several times before looking around with confusion.
The sleepy expression looked so adorable that another wave of laughter echoed throughout the studio.
The marketing manager couldn’t stop smiling.
“This commercial alone will sell millions.”
The final advertisement carried the strongest emotional message.
This time Surekha herself appeared beside Ram, portraying a loving mother caring for her child.
She gently lifted him into her arms before kissing his forehead lovingly.
A warm narrator’s voice would later be added during editing.
“Because every mother deserves peace of mind…
and every baby deserves peaceful comfort.”
Ram instinctively wrapped both tiny arms around Surekha’s neck before resting his head against her shoulder.
It wasn’t acting.
It was simply natural affection.
The camera captured every heartfelt moment.
When the director finally called,
“Cut!”
there wasn’t a single dissatisfied face anywhere inside the studio.
The entire production had finished almost two hours ahead of schedule.
The director walked directly toward Chiranjeevi before extending his hand.
“Congratulations.”
“I believe your son has something truly special.”
Chiranjeevi accepted the handshake politely.
“Thank you.”
“I simply wanted him to enjoy himself.”
The marketing head of Snuggy soon approached carrying several documents.
His face couldn’t hide his excitement.
“Mr.
Chiranjeevi…”
“I sincerely believe today’s shoot will change our company’s future.”
“We’re deeply grateful that your family trusted us.”
Chiranjeevi smiled warmly.
“We also hope this partnership benefits both sides.”
The agreement concluded with smiles and photographs before everyone returned home.
Only a few weeks later…
Across television channels, cinema theatres, newspapers, and large advertising banners, one adorable face began appearing everywhere.
A cheerful little boy with sparkling blue eyes, bright smiles, and contagious laughter.
The Snuggy Baby.
Families across India immediately fell in love with the commercial.
Children laughed whenever Ram appeared on television.
Mothers praised how natural and heartwarming the advertisements felt.
Many parents who had been hesitant to try disposable diapers decided to purchase Snuggy after repeatedly seeing the campaign.
Inside Snuggy’s headquarters, the sales department was thrown into complete astonishment.
One executive rushed into the conference room holding several reports.
“Sir!”
“Our monthly sales have doubled!”
Another manager quickly added,
“Distributors from Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai are requesting additional stock!”
Within another month, the numbers rose even further.
Retailers struggled to keep Snuggy diapers on store shelves.
Several newspapers even began publishing articles about the company’s remarkable rise.
One headline proudly declared:
“Snuggy’s Smiling Baby Wins India’s Hearts.”
Another newspaper wrote:
“Can One Child Transform a Brand?
Snuggy’s Record-Breaking Sales Say Yes.”
Marketing experts praised the campaign for presenting a warm and trustworthy family image rather than relying on exaggerated advertising.
Back at the Konidela residence, life continued peacefully.
Ram remained blissfully unaware that he had accidentally become one of the most recognizable baby faces in southern India.
He was currently busy crawling after Sushmitha, who kept laughing while holding one of his favorite toys just out of reach.
Surekha watched her children with gentle affection.
Chiranjeevi had already returned to his film shoots, though every now and then he would see Snuggy’s advertisement playing before a movie screening.
Each time it appeared, audiences inside the theatre couldn’t help smiling.
He would simply lean back quietly, pride shining in his eyes.
“My son…”
“This is only the beginning.”
To be continued…
