Warm sunlight filtered through the hospital window.

Soft golden rays landed across the white bedsheets, creating a peaceful atmosphere inside the room.

Ram slowly opened his eyes.Full novel: Starting as Chiranjeevi’s Son, I Became a Global Superstar — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

For a few seconds, he simply stared at the ceiling above him.

Then a small yawn escaped his mouth as his tiny body stretched instinctively before relaxing once more.

Although only a day had passed since his rebirth, his mind still hadn’t fully adjusted to reality.

Every time he woke up, there was a brief moment when he expected to see his rented apartment in Bangalore—the old ceiling fan spinning lazily above him, the small television in the corner, and the cluttered desk covered with unfinished work.

But reality always greeted him instead.

He was no longer Ravi.

He was Ram.

The newborn son of Chiranjeevi.

His gaze wandered around the room curiously.

The hospital room was surprisingly quiet.

The doctors and nurses who had constantly entered and exited yesterday were nowhere to be seen.

Only one person remained.

His mother.

Surekha was sleeping peacefully on the hospital bed.

The signs of exhaustion from childbirth were still visible on her face, yet despite that, she looked calm.

A faint smile rested on her lips as she slept.

Ram quietly observed her.

He didn’t know why, but seeing her sleeping peacefully made him feel strangely comfortable.

Perhaps it was because she was his mother now.

Or perhaps because genuine parental love was something impossible to fake.

Either way, he didn’t dislike the feeling.

His attention soon shifted elsewhere.

A problem was currently occupying most of his thoughts.

His future.

Since he had somehow received a second chance at life, what exactly should he do with it?

In his previous life, he had spent years working endlessly.

Wake up.

Go to work.

Come back.

Sleep.

Repeat.

The cycle never ended.

This time, however, things were different.

Very different.

He had been reborn into one of the most influential film families in South India.

The opportunities available to him now were unimaginable.

A small smile appeared on his face.

“Maybe life won’t be so boring this time.”

Of course, before he could become some great superstar, there was one small problem.

He was still a baby.

A baby who couldn’t even sit properly.

The irony almost made him laugh.

Suddenly, the hospital room door opened.

Ram immediately turned his head.

A familiar figure entered the room.

The moment he saw him, his mood improved noticeably.

It was Chiranjeevi.

His father looked slightly tired.

There were faint signs of exhaustion beneath his eyes, yet his natural charisma remained impossible to ignore.

The moment he entered, the atmosphere of the room somehow felt livelier.

Ram became unexpectedly happy.

Without thinking, he tried calling out.

“Dad!”

At least, that was what he intended to say.

What actually came out was—

“Abba…

ba…

bba…”

The strange baby sounds immediately echoed through the room.

Chiranjeevi stopped walking.

His eyes widened slightly.

For a moment, surprise appeared on his face.

Then a bright smile slowly formed.

“My son is awake?”

He immediately approached.

Ram continued making random sounds.

Unfortunately, his current body refused to cooperate.

No matter what he wanted to say, only adorable baby noises emerged.

Chiranjeevi sat beside him and gently patted his tiny head.

The movements were careful and affectionate.

“Don’t worry.”

“Nana is here.”

“Everything is fine.”

The calm voice somehow worked.

Although Ram knew perfectly well that he wasn’t actually scared, his restless emotions gradually settled down.

A strange warmth spread through his chest.

For someone who had lost his previous life so suddenly, having someone reassure him felt unexpectedly comforting.

Meanwhile, Surekha slowly woke up.

She blinked sleepily before noticing her husband.

A soft smile appeared on her face.

“You came.”

Chiranjeevi nodded.

“I finished some urgent work.”

Pulling a chair closer, he sat beside her.

For the next few minutes, the couple quietly talked about ordinary things—hospital arrangements, doctor visits, family matters, and future plans.

Ram listened silently.

After all, he didn’t have much else to do.

Eventually, Chiranjeevi’s expression became slightly serious.

He gently held Surekha’s hand.

“Darling, this year is very busy.”

“I have several movie shoots scheduled.”

“Some of them are already delayed.”

“I won’t be able to stay here all the time.”

Surekha listened quietly.

She already understood his situation.

The film industry never waited for anyone, especially not for successful actors.

A delay in one project could affect dozens of people—producers, directors, technicians, co-stars, and entire production schedules.

“I understand.”

She smiled softly.

“Don’t worry about us.”

“We’ll stay here until the doctors discharge us.”

“You can focus on your work.”

Relief appeared on Chiranjeevi’s face.

“I’ll arrange everything.”

“As soon as possible, I’ll prepare the house and bring you home.”

Ram silently listened to their conversation.

Thanks to his previous-life memories, he roughly knew what period this was.

His father was rapidly building his career.

Several major films were being produced around this time, and the schedule would naturally be exhausting.

In truth, Ram didn’t blame him at all.

Being a father and being a superstar simultaneously couldn’t be easy.

At that moment, another voice suddenly interrupted the conversation.

“No!”

The dramatic protest startled everyone.

Including Ram.

Turning toward the source, they saw Sushmita standing near the doorway.

Apparently, she had arrived while nobody was paying attention.

The little girl’s cheeks were puffed up in dissatisfaction, and her large eyes were already becoming watery.

“Nana!”

“Are you leaving again?”

The accusation carried genuine sadness.

“I just got here.”

“And now you’re going away?”

For a moment, Chiranjeevi looked helpless.

Then he laughed softly.

Opening his arms, he said nothing.

Immediately, Sushmita ran over and climbed onto his lap.

The superstar gently hugged his daughter, his expression softening noticeably.

“No, papa.”

“Nana isn’t abandoning you.”

“I just need to finish some work.”

Sushmita looked unconvinced.

Her tiny eyebrows remained furrowed.

Seeing this, Chiranjeevi leaned closer and whispered dramatically,

“How about this?”

The little girl blinked.

“What?”

“When Nana finishes all his shootings…”

“We’ll go on a vacation.”

Instantly, her eyes sparkled.

A vacation?

That changed everything.

“Really?”

“Promise?”

“Promise.”

The answer came immediately.

The little girl practically bounced with excitement.

All traces of sadness disappeared.

Meanwhile, Ram silently watched the interaction unfold.

The scene felt warm.

Comfortable.

Natural.

A family simply enjoying each other’s company.

For the first time since his rebirth, he truly began accepting that this was his new reality.

And strangely enough…

He didn’t hate it.

The rest of the day passed peacefully.

Doctors occasionally entered the room to perform routine examinations, while nurses checked on both mother and child from time to time to ensure everything was progressing normally.

Apart from that, nothing particularly exciting happened.

For Ram, however, even ordinary moments felt interesting.

After all, he was experiencing life as a baby—something he had never imagined would happen, even in his wildest dreams.

As evening arrived, the sunlight outside gradually faded.

The bright hospital room became calmer, and the noise from the corridors reduced significantly.

By nightfall, a comfortable silence filled the room.

Surekha had already fallen asleep.

The exhaustion from childbirth still weighed heavily on her body, and she needed as much rest as possible.

Sushmita had also surrendered to sleep after spending the entire day asking endless questions about her little brother.

At the moment, she was sleeping peacefully on a nearby couch, her small body curled beneath a blanket.

Ram couldn’t help smiling internally.

Children really had endless energy.

One moment they were running around creating chaos.

The next moment they were completely unconscious.

As for Ram himself, he was beginning to feel sleepy.

A newborn’s body required a ridiculous amount of rest.

Even though his mind belonged to an adult, his body constantly demanded sleep.

He let out a small yawn.

His eyelids gradually became heavier.

Just as he was about to drift off—

Bzzzt.

A strange sound suddenly echoed inside his head.

Ram’s eyes snapped open instantly.

The sleepiness vanished.

“What was that?”

His heart began racing.

The hospital room remained dark and quiet.

Nothing seemed unusual.

For a few moments, he wondered if he had imagined it.

Then—

Bzzzt.

The sound appeared again.

This time it was louder.

Much louder.

Ram nearly jumped in fright.

His eyes darted around the room.

The sleeping figures remained unchanged.

The door was closed.

The windows were locked.

Everything looked perfectly normal.

Yet the strange sound persisted.

A ridiculous thought suddenly appeared in his mind.

His face immediately became pale.

“Wait…”

“Don’t tell me…”

Years of watching movies and reading novels flooded his brain.

Baby swapping.

Secret heirs.

Hospital conspiracies.

Evil relatives replacing children.

Countless dramatic plots surfaced one after another.

The more he thought about it, the more frightened he became.

“Am I being replaced?”

“Did some villain sneak into the hospital?”

“Is there another baby hidden somewhere?”

Ram’s imagination rapidly spiraled out of control.

At this rate, he was ready to suspect the nurses, the doctors, the security guards, and perhaps even the hospital walls.

Then a calm voice suddenly echoed inside his mind.

[Host, your imagination is quite bizarre.]

Ram froze.

The hospital room fell silent once again.

His eyes widened.

For a moment, he thought he had misheard.

Then a transparent blue screen suddenly appeared before him.

It floated quietly in midair, glowing softly.

Strange symbols and lines of information covered its surface.

Ram stared blankly.

His brain completely stopped working.

Several seconds passed.

Then realization struck.

His eyes widened even further.

His breathing accelerated.

His entire body trembled with excitement.

A system.

A real system.

The legendary golden finger of every transmigration protagonist.

The ultimate cheat.

The ultimate support.

The ultimate life hack.

At that moment, Ram felt as though victory had already arrived.

He hadn’t even left the hospital yet.

Yet he already possessed a system.

The future suddenly looked incredibly bright.

Meanwhile, somewhere within the mysterious system, silence reigned.

For the first time since activation, the system questioned its life choices.

Its host appeared unusually excited.

Perhaps a little too excited.

[Host.]

The mechanical voice interrupted his celebration.

Ram immediately became serious.

Or at least as serious as a newborn baby could become.

“System!”

“What are your abilities?”

“What can you do?”

“Can you make me fly?”

“Can you give me superpowers?”

“Can you create money?”

Questions poured out endlessly.

The system remained silent for several seconds before finally responding.

[Host, I am the Life Success System.]

[My purpose is to assist the host in achieving success throughout life.]

[I issue missions, objectives, and opportunities.]

[Completing them will grant rewards that help the host develop his talents and achieve his goals.]

Ram nodded repeatedly.

Or at least he tried to.

His baby body didn’t cooperate very well.

The explanation sounded reasonable.

Not some world-destroying system.

Not some invincible combat system.

A success system.

Honestly, he liked it.

His goal wasn’t conquering the universe.

He simply wanted to live a better life.

Perhaps become a superstar.

Perhaps create amazing movies.

Perhaps achieve things he had failed to achieve in his previous life.

This system seemed perfectly suited for that purpose.

After calming down slightly, another question appeared in his mind.

A much more important one.

“System.”

“How exactly did I get here?”

The transparent screen flickered.

Several lines of information appeared.

[Host Ravi died due to cardiac arrest.]

[Primary causes included excessive stress, poor lifestyle habits, irregular sleep schedules, and unhealthy food consumption.]

Ram’s expression immediately became awkward.

The diagnosis was brutally accurate.

Late-night work.

Fast food.

Constant stress.

Lack of exercise.

Looking back now, perhaps he really had abused his health.

The system continued.

[Following the host’s death, your soul demonstrated unusual determination and adaptability.]

[Therefore, compatibility requirements were fulfilled.]

[Transmigration process initiated successfully.]

[New life granted.]

Ram fell silent.

For a brief moment, memories of his previous parents surfaced.

His village.

His home.

His old life.

A complicated feeling emerged inside his heart.

He missed them.

Of course he did.

They had been his family.

The people who raised him.

The people who loved him.

Yet he also understood something.

The past couldn’t be changed.

No matter how much he regretted things, he couldn’t return.

Perhaps his insurance money had reached them.

Perhaps his relatives would support them.

Perhaps they would eventually move forward.

It wasn’t perfect.

But there was nothing else he could do.

After taking a deep breath, Ram pushed those thoughts aside.

Another question suddenly appeared.

One that had been bothering him since his rebirth.

“System.”

“Did I travel back in time?”

The screen flickered once more.

[Negative.]

[This world is not your original timeline.]

[It is a parallel world.]

[Multiple similarities exist.]

[Multiple differences also exist.]

[Host should prepare for unexpected changes.]

Ram’s eyes narrowed thoughtfully.

A parallel world.

That actually explained many things.

It also meant his future knowledge wouldn’t always be reliable.

Some events might remain the same.

Others could change completely.

Life would become far less predictable.

Yet somehow…

That made things more exciting.

Finally, another thought surfaced.

An extremely important thought.

One that every experienced novel reader knew.

Ram cleared his throat internally before speaking with anticipation.

“System.”

“Where is my beginner gift?”

Silence.

The room became completely quiet.

Even the system didn’t respond immediately.

Several seconds passed.

Then several more.

For a brief moment, Ram wondered if the system was pretending not to hear him.

Finally—

Ding.

A pleasant notification sound echoed inside his mind.

[Congratulations, Host.]

[Beginner Gift Package Activated.]

Ram’s eyes instantly brightened.

“Open it!”

The screen flashed.

Golden light appeared.

A new notification emerged.

[Congratulations, Host.]

[You have obtained: Incubus Physique.]

Ram blinked.

Once.

Twice.

Three times.

The words remained unchanged.

“…What?”

The system calmly continued.

[Incubus Physique successfully integrated.]

[Charm has been enhanced to the maximum compatible level.]

[Physical attractiveness growth rate increased.]

[Social affinity significantly improved.]

[Host is advised to exercise caution.]

[Excessive attention from the opposite gender may occur in the future.]

Ram stared blankly at the floating screen.

His expression gradually became stranger.

Very strange.

Out of all possible rewards…

This was what he received?

No martial arts.

No photographic memory.

No god-level acting skills.

No investment knowledge.

Instead…

Extreme attractiveness.

For several seconds, neither side spoke.

Then the system added one final sentence.

[Good luck, Host.]

Ram remained speechless.

Completely speechless.

Somehow, he had a feeling that his future life had just become far more complicated than he originally expected.

With that strange thought lingering in his mind, the newest member of the Konidela family slowly drifted toward sleep.

Outside the hospital window, the city lights continued shining beneath the night sky.

A new life had begun.

And so had an entirely new story.
