Ten days remained before the apocalypse.

Shen Group was in complete chaos due to tax issues and shareholder turbulence. Executives were busy dealing with inspections, while the lower-level employees were panicked and unsettled.

This was the perfect timing for Shen Xingdu to make her move.Full novel: Starting the Apocalypse with a Hundred-Billion Mansion: I Won Without Lifting a Finger — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

2:00 a.m.

Shen Xingdu, dressed in a black work uniform, drove boldly through the back gate of the logistics park using a high-level access card she hadn’t yet deactivated.

Even if the card didn’t work, it didn’t matter. With her hacking skills and the “Universal Electronic Jammer” she had redeemed from the system, the civilian-grade security systems were useless before her.

“This is Shen Group’s largest logistics hub…”

She licked her lips, looking at the rows of warehouses crouched in the darkness like giant beasts.

The warehouses held appliances, general merchandise, mother-and-baby supplies, electronics, home textiles, and more.

She started with Warehouse 1: Appliances.

“Double-door refrigerator? Taken—perfect for cooling Coke in the apocalypse with a generator.”

“Washer-dryer combo? Taken—laundry’s too much hassle otherwise.”

“Air fryer, blender, microwave, oven… take everything.”

“That 85-inch Sony TV? Definitely taking that—movies at the safe house will be awesome.”

Wherever she went, the shelves seemed erased with a magic eraser, instantly emptied.

Next was Warehouse 2: Home Textiles.

“Luolai bedding sets, goose-down quilts, latex pillows—taken.”

“Thousands of boxes of pure cotton towels and underwear—good stuff.”

“Wool carpets? Take them to line the floors, keep warm.”

Her movements became faster and faster.

Then came Warehouse 3: Food and Mother-Baby Supplies.

Although she had already stockpiled a lot of grains and oils, these goods were far more premium.

“Imported formula? Taken—high nutrition, can sell later at a fortune if not consumed.”

“Diapers? Even if unused, the absorbent materials can be repurposed as insulation or bandages—taken.”

“Thousands of boxes of premium nut gift sets? Snacks for later—taken.”

She was in the middle of gathering items when footsteps echoed from a corner.

An elderly night-shift security guard walked over with a flashlight:

“Who’s there? Delivering this late at night?”

Shen Xingdu paused for a moment.

Hide? Not necessary.

She stepped out of the shadows, holding a pre-prepared file folder, expression calm:

“I’m a temporary inventory inspector from headquarters. The system just flagged an abnormal stock reading.”

The guard blinked, looking at the Shen Group special inspector badge hanging on her chest. Seeing her exceptional demeanor, he believed her almost completely.

“Oh, leadership, working so late! Want me to turn on a light?”

“No need, I don’t like it too bright. Go back to your post and rest; don’t disturb me.”

“Sure, sure.” The old man scampered back happily.

Once he left, Shen Xingdu sped up her work.

It wasn’t just the goods. She also spotted several brand-new heavy container trucks in the loading area, and over a dozen electric forklifts inside the warehouses.

“All good stuff—will come in handy for moving and transport later.”

With a wave of her hand, the trucks and their cargo vanished into her space.

That night, Shen Xingdu worked like a diligent hamster, emptying the three core warehouses of Shen Group down to the last item.

The next morning, when the day-shift warehouse clerk opened the doors and saw the warehouses spotless beyond belief, he thought he hadn’t woken up yet—or had somehow crossed into another world.

“Where’s the stock?! The billions of goods I had?!”

Meanwhile, Shen Group headquarters exploded in chaos again.

Shen Hongwei had just finished dealing with the tax bureau. When he heard that the warehouses had been completely emptied, his eyes rolled back. This time, he really ended up in the ICU.
