Seven days remained before the apocalypse.
She had stocked enough supplies; what she lacked now was energy.
Without fuel, generators were just scrap metal, and RVs were iron coffins.
Shen Xingdu had previously collected some diesel at the winery, but it was far from enough. She needed massive amounts of gasoline and diesel.
Regular gas stations only allowed small amounts per visit—and no container filling was permitted.
So she set her sights on a private refinery on the outskirts of the city. It was remote, poorly managed, and with money in hand, oil tankers could pull whatever they wanted.
Shen Xingdu rented five of these oil tankers and drove them into the refinery in batches.
“Boss, 50 tons of diesel, 50 tons of gasoline. The highest grade.”
The refinery owner was a bald man with a face full of scars. Seeing a young woman arrive alone, a flash of greed passed his eyes.
“Little sister, that’s a lot. Prices have gone up 20% since yesterday,” the bald man tried to inflate the price.
“Money’s not an issue,” Shen Xingdu said, tossing a box of cash onto the table.
“As long as the fuel’s good, I’ll even add another ten percent.”
The bald man’s eyes lit up, and he immediately ordered the workers to start filling the tankers.
While the workers were busy, Shen Xingdu walked toward the massive storage tanks, pretending to inspect the area.
There were dozens of huge underground storage tanks.
She quietly approached a blind spot in the cameras and pressed her palm against one of the tanks’ outer walls.
“System, liquid extraction mode!”
【Beep! Detected large amounts of high-energy fuel. Extracting…】
【Recovering 10,000 liters of 95-octane gasoline… 20,000 liters…】
Inside her space, the dozens of specially designed fuel barrels she had prepared began to rapidly rise.
She didn’t extract everything at once, afraid of triggering an alarm. Each tank was only one-third emptied.
Even so, by the time she finished, her space held an astonishing several thousand tons of fuel—enough to last her multiple lifetimes.
Just as she prepared to leave, the bald man appeared with a few thugs wielding iron rods.
“Little sister, the fuel’s filled. But… we’ve been short on cash lately, so maybe you could lend us some money?”
He grinned, eyes roaming over her with ill intent.
“Or, you could stay and keep us company… then the fuel’s free.”
She sighed. “I should have known a remote place like this wouldn’t respect martial ethics.”
She clapped her hands.
“Tiechui, get to work.”
The bald man froze. “Tie… what?”
In the next second, a black-and-white blur shot out from the shadows behind Shen Xingdu.
“Grrr!”
Tiechui launched like a cannonball into the bald man’s calf.
Crack!
The sound of bone breaking was clear.
“Ahhh!!!” The bald man screamed like a slaughtered pig, clutching his leg as he collapsed.
Before the others could react, Tiechui tore through the crowd. Despite its small size, its speed was incredible, targeting the lower body, and its thick skin absorbed the thugs’ blows like nothing.
In less than a minute, seven or eight men were writhing on the ground, wailing in pain.
Shen Xingdu casually walked over and stepped on the bald man’s hand.
“I was going to pay you, but since you tried to rob me, consider the fuel compensation for my mental suffering.”
With a wave of her hand, the five tankers, now fully filled, were sucked into her space.
“And your generators? Not bad either—they’re mine now.”
Amid a group of terrified stares, Shen Xingdu looted the refinery’s equipment and left with Tiechui in tow.
“Good job, Tiechui.”
In the car, Shen Xingdu tossed a roast chicken to Tiechui.
Tiechui hugged the chicken and tore into it greedily, no trace left of the ferocious beast from just moments ago.
