The moment Song Yu heard the arrangement, his eyes instantly reddened.

Being sent away alone felt worse than hearing the words “disband” spoken nicely…

He lifted his gaze to Pei Ye, pleading silently with his eyes, but Pei Ye just shook his head, said nothing, and even went straight to the kitchen.Full novel: Starting with a Billion Supplies, the Villainous Female Supporting Character Wins the Apocalypse Easily — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Song Yu then glanced at Cen Mo and Gu Feng.

Cen Mo avoided eye contact, while Gu Feng went straight to the basement, clearly showing no objection to Pei Ye’s plan.

Song Yu lowered his head, his mind slowly clearing a little from the fog.

Yet it was quickly replaced with the feeling that the boss had abandoned him, the loneliness and desolation almost tangible.

Cen Mo couldn’t bear to see Song Yu like that. He patted his shoulder, pity in his voice: “Let’s all cool off for a bit—after all, Gu Feng almost didn’t make it through.”

Song Yu wanted to say it wasn’t all Lin Yitang’s fault, but seeing his good friends’ faces, and Gu Feng covered in injuries, the words stuck in his throat.

Finally, he gritted his teeth and said in a steady voice, “Boss, Cen Mo, Gu Feng, I apologize to you on Xiao Tang’s behalf for the mall incident. But she’s a girl; without protection, she can’t survive the apocalypse. I can’t just watch her die.”

After catching his breath, he added, “But I will never betray you. If you ever need me, come to the next house—I’ll give my all.”

Wen Yu watched Song Yu’s stubborn determination, refusing to turn back, and her lips twitched ever so slightly.

Stubborn people must have hard brains, she thought; otherwise, how could they not see reason?

It was a pity for the supplies Pei Ye had gathered while running a high fever.

The amount was enough for Wen Yu alone to last six months; even divided into five portions, there was plenty. Gu Feng had used the villa’s camper van ten times back and forth to deliver it all.

The supplies were originally for Wen Yu, so they included women’s clothing but no men’s. Pei Ye, thinking ahead, borrowed a few sets of men’s clothes from Wen Yu for Song Yu to change into.

Wen Yu didn’t begrudge him that.

The main group wasn’t going to disappear forever, and they lived so close.

She didn’t want to see a revealing Lin Yitang or Song Yu one day—what an eyesore…

However, when Wen Yu held a stack of men’s boxers, Pei Ye’s face went dark.

He snatched the underwear, holding it in his hand, and asked, “When you get supplies, can you just stack them on the floor?”

Wen Yu didn’t think he had a hidden meaning and answered directly, “Sure, otherwise lifting heavy stuff by hand would break my bones.”

“Then from now on, just throw them on the floor. It’s not some precious item—you don’t have to catch it by hand.”

He bundled the clothes and handed them to Gu Feng to deliver. Gu Feng hesitated but ultimately said nothing, making the trip again.

After dinner, Pei Ye organized a shooting training session upstairs.

Wen Yu was the focus—after all, outsiders saw her spatial ability as only storage, useless against zombies. Firearms were her only means of offense.

She had the ion gun but didn’t want to expose it, so she followed them to the upstairs gym.

A simple shooting target was set up in the gym. Cen Mo and Gu Feng practiced on their own, while Pei Ye personally instructed Wen Yu.

“Release the safety—aim—pull the trigger.”

Bang—

The silenced bullet pierced the solid wall with a muffled thud. Wen Yu blinked, arms crossed, puzzled.

“Teacher Pei, you’re demonstrating, not teaching me.”

“How do you want to be taught?”

“It’s not how I want to be taught—it’s how you can teach me!”

Wen Yu hadn’t expected Pei Ye’s method: he fired a few rounds himself while she watched in silence.

Cen Mo and Gu Feng glanced at each other, smiling at the playful teasing in the other’s eyes.

Pei Ye, as usual, didn’t understand charm. Teaching shooting—a chance for close interaction—was rendered stiff and academic.

Pei Ye paused, ears slightly red, and handed the handgun to Wen Yu, explaining its construction first.

Then he stood behind her, guiding her aim.

Bang—

The bullet fired, unlike the ion gun, its recoil sent Wen Yu backward—right into Pei Ye’s chest.

The solid, warm chest made her spine stiffen, instantly reminding her of those sleepless nights.

Pei Ye hadn’t expected her to lean in so close; the hot breath hit her ear.

The oxygen in the air seemed to vanish, and their breaths tightened.

Sensing something, Cen Mo and Gu Feng exchanged glances, silently pushing each other, sour expressions on their faces.

The jostling was enough to pull them both back to reality.

Pei Ye quickly stepped back.

Wen Yu had initially stiffened but relaxed when she saw his discomfort, even stepping closer innocently.

“Teacher Pei, are you okay?”

Pei Ye: ……

Gu Feng stifled a laugh at Pei Ye’s reaction and mimicked him silently to Cen Mo: “Teacher Pei, are you okay?”

Cen Mo chuckled lightly.

Pei Ye glared at them. “Done practicing? If so, we’ll have a competition.”

Gu Feng quickly waved him off.

A joke.

Pei Ye had received elite training since childhood. By ten, he had no rivals on the shooting range.

The others, adults by then, only occasionally went shooting for fun—no way they could match a professional like Pei Ye.

“Then just practice properly,” Pei Ye said, turning to Wen Yu.

Looking at Wen Yu’s upturned face, still teasing him, Pei Ye said he had to step out for something and left.

Wen Yu was a little disappointed.

But seeing the intimacy value in the system briefly jump to 1 and quickly reset, she asked Maomao.

【Maomao, did you deduct the intimacy points from that collision just now?】

【Yes. When the group was created, you owed 1 intimacy point. It was deducted this time.】

Wen Yu clicked her tongue. How petty.

But she refocused, practicing while asking:

【System, to collect intimacy points, did you give us any banned drugs?】

【No. Banned drugs are expensive; no money.】

【But you charge a handling fee during trades. How do you have no money?】

【The fee isn’t even enough for mahjong.】

Fair enough.

Wen Yu twitched her mouth.

As long as no drugs were involved, she could handle it alone—she didn’t want to be the male lead’s toy.

Still, she reminded Maomao:

【Gambling has no future. Quit it!】

The tiny Maomao’s tail quivered in shock.

【You have no idea how boring our warehouse work is. Without mahjong, we’d go insane.】

Wen Yu laughed at the thought.

Cen Mo: ……

Gu Feng: ……

Cen Mo nudged Gu Feng, whispering, “Shall we leave first?”

Gu Feng nodded: “Yeah. The young lady’s shooting is making herself laugh—who knows, she might accidentally hit one of us.”

Wen Yu turned to give them a deadly smile—

I heard that…
