After evening self-study ended, everyone headed outside. As soon as they stepped out of the teaching building, they saw Li Kaina striding past them in high heels, the sharp click-clack-click-clack of her shoes echoing behind her. When she passed Ming Mei, she even let out a cold snort.
Outside the teaching building, a young man was leaning against a Porsche, striking a pose.

When they reached the dormitory building, Ming Mei thought for a moment before saying, “How about we go out and have some fun?”
Shanghai Metropolitan University had eight departments. Today, four departments, including Finance, were checking in. The other four would check in tomorrow, and military training wouldn’t begin until the day after that.
In other words, they could stay out as late as they wanted tonight. The dormitory doors were locked at eleven, but if necessary, they could simply spend the night somewhere else.
Ma Mingyue and Xu Xiaoning nodded.
“Then give me your bags,” Xu Xiaoning said. “I’ll take them upstairs. Is there anything else you need me to bring down for you?”
Ma Mingyue and Ming Mei both shook their heads.
“There’s no need to take the bags upstairs,” Ming Mei said. “Just leave them in my car. Why don’t you two think about where you’d like to go?”
“Ming Mei, you drove here?” Ma Mingyue asked in surprise.
Ming Mei hummed in acknowledgment.
Most students who could attend Shanghai Metropolitan University’s Finance Department came from relatively well-off families. As a result, several passenger cars were parked in front of their dormitory building.
Shanghai Metropolitan University was fairly relaxed about this. Aside from prohibiting passenger cars from driving around campus on weekdays, the school didn’t interfere much at other times. Students simply had to register their vehicles with the security office.
Consequently, quite a few students drove their own cars to school.
Ming Mei walked over to the parking spaces beneath the teaching building and turned on the headlights of her Koenigsegg.

Ming Mei smiled and opened the door.

“What are you two standing there for? Get in!” Ming Mei called to Ma Mingyue and Xu Xiaoning.
Only then did the two girls manage to close their dropped jaws. They hurried into the car.
Ming Mei closed the doors and drove the Koenigsegg out of the university.
Sitting inside the Koenigsegg, Ma Mingyue and Xu Xiaoning looked around and touched everything curiously. Finally, Ma Mingyue exclaimed admiringly, “The interior of this car is several times more luxurious than Dad’s car!”

While driving, Ming Mei explained, “It’s a four-seat sports car. I originally had a two-seat sports car, but I thought I might want to take you two out for fun. There wouldn’t be enough room in a two-seater, so I went and bought two four-seat sports cars instead. That way, we can take turns driving them.”
Ma Mingyue and Xu Xiaoning exchanged a glance.
Ma Mingyue cautiously asked, “So when you said you were going out this morning, you meant you were going to buy cars?”
Ming Mei hummed in acknowledgment.
Ma Mingyue stuck out her tongue and fell silent.
So this is what being rich means?
You can just go out for a bit and come back with a new car!
Xu Xiaoning asked quietly, “Ming Mei, what brand is your car?”
“Koenigsegg 033,” Ming Mei answered without turning her head.
The back seat fell silent for a moment.
Xu Xiaoning immediately searched for the Koenigsegg 033 on her phone. She let out a quiet, “Holy crap!” Then she nudged the cousin sitting beside her with her elbow and held the phone out to Ma Mingyue.
Ma Mingyue also let out a stunned, “Holy crap!”
She instinctively drew her body forward a little.
This sports car costs six or seven million yuan. Is it disrespectful to the car for my entire butt to be sitting on it?
Then she remembered what Ming Mei had said earlier and asked in astonishment, “Ming Mei, you bought two of these cars?”
Ming Mei hummed and said, “The 4S dealership happened to have only two left, one in Midnight Blue and the other in Silver Gray. I liked both of them, so I bought them. That way, I can switch between them.”

She had never felt the gap between rich and poor so keenly before.

Although Li Kaina was also wealthy and wore designer brands from head to toe, she walked around cautiously, afraid that her shoes or handbag might get scratched or scuffed against something.
