A hint of sea salt drifted toward Xie Yun’s nose. He disliked the suffocating feeling of being physically controlled and frowned, intending to refuse.

The System: 【Yunyun, it really is inconvenient with your hand being injured. Just let him feed you.】

【What did you just call me?】

This system was clearly unhinged as well. The whole world had gone completely mad.

The System said nothing, only providing a: 【^^】

Seeing no resistance from the person beside him, Lu Yibing took it as silent consent. He brought a spoonful of eel and rice over, blew on it gently, and pressed it between Xie Yun’s slightly parted lips.

The plump, sauce-covered grains of rice melded with the eel, melting across Xie Yun’s tongue. It was a bit hot, but manageable, and his mouth was instantly filled with a rich aroma.

Xie Yun was forced to start chewing, while Lu Yibing watched him eat with a smile, his eyes fixed on Xie Yun’s lowered lashes.

Then, under the forced command of the system, Xie Yun took another bite, and another, from the hands of the boy beside him.

“I can’t eat anymore.”

Xie Yun swallowed the last of the eel rice and took a sip of plum water. He spoke just as Lu Yibing was bringing another mouthful to his lips.

The last bite was a small piece of eel. Xie Yun pushed his hand back gently. “You eat this piece. Thank you.”

Lu Yibing smiled and ate the piece of eel himself.

His own dinner consisted of noodles. By the time he finished feeding his injured “brother,” the steam from his soup had only just begun to dissipate. He finished his meal after helping Xie Yun tidy up, while Xie Yun opened his textbook.

After several hours of study, the bell for evening self-study rang. The F12 (Cui and Zou) had originally intended to harass Xie Yun again, but they were suddenly called away by a teacher.

And so, he passed another evening of study in peace.

The next day.

After his elective class ended, Xie Yun clutched his books and prepared to head to the self-study building.

Today’s weather was graced by a brilliant sun; it was a perfect day for learning, he thought.

Lu Yibing and the F12 should all have classes now, so no one would disturb him.

Entering the building, Xie Yun opened his textbook as usual. After he had been silently memorizing for a while, a figure appeared beside him out of nowhere.

“May I sit here? ^^”

A low, magnetic voice fell upon his ears. Xie Yun turned his gaze and met the eyes of the youth.

Xie Yun: “…”

“Is there something you need?”

Honestly—he had dodged the F12 and Lu Yibing, but he had almost forgotten about the main protagonist Gong.

“What a coincidence. You actually study in this building often, too?”

Zhou Yichao tilted his head with a smile. “Didn’t I accidentally injure your hand yesterday? Since fate has brought us together again, I was thinking about what else I could do for you. For example…”

“I appreciate the sentiment, but it’s not necessary.”

Xie Yun turned his head back and continued memorizing the book in his hand.

Watching his calm demeanor, Zhou Yichao surreptitiously lowered his eyelids. However, he quickly maintained his smile. “Classmate, don’t be so quick to reject me. Yesterday was indeed my fault. I want to be friends with you; at least give me a chance to make amends.”

Make amends for what? You’re the protagonist Gong; please go harass the protagonist Shou.

Xie Yun was speechless. Stay away from me, you gay man.

“I’ve forgiven you. No need for a performance.”

“I did such an awful thing yesterday; if I don’t do something more, my conscience will never be at peace.”

As he spoke, he propped his chin on one hand while the other slowly poked at his own heart. He knit his brows and looked down, appearing to be in great agony. “Classmate, you look so kind-hearted; surely you wouldn’t have the heart to see me suffer?”

Xie Yun closed his eyes and continued reciting vocabulary words, his tone lazy. “Then you’ve truly misjudged me. I am exactly that kind of heartless person.”

Zhou Yichao’s smile froze.

Seeing that the “soft” approach wasn’t working, he simply didn’t leave. He sat right next to Xie Yun and watched him study, hoping to find an opening to swoop in later.

Xie Yun ignored him and kept memorizing to himself.

The clock ticked away as two hours passed. The person watching hadn’t picked up a pen once. Zhou Yichao was thoroughly… stunned.

This beauty was, after all, the eldest Young Master of the Xie family. Was his personality really this stubborn?

His feistiness only made Zhou Yichao more interested.

Ink-dark fringe brushed against the boy’s lowered lashes. His expression was indifferent, his skin as fair as snow, bathed in the fierce sunlight filtering through the stained-glass windows.

He had beautiful, curved lines, a high bridge to his nose, and a well-defined jawline. He was beautiful to the point of being dazing.

Like a deity draped in holy light.

The person before him was already incredibly pale; the sunlight reflecting off him made him look even more radiant. His long lashes flickered like fragile white butterflies. His narrow eyes were dark, and his lips were a soft pink.

Wrapped in a navy-blue school uniform so white it didn’t have a single speck of dust, his well-defined figure was clearly outlined. His fair, long fingers were curved, resting casually on the tabletop.

As his lips opened and closed slightly, Zhou Yichao felt himself growing increasingly restless the more he watched.

Those pale red lips moved as if they were swallowing or licking something scorching hot.

Zhou Yichao slowly arched an eyebrow, a rush of pleasure hitting him. Such beautiful lips were perfectly suited for serving him.

He is absolutely seducing me.

Zhou Yichao surreptitiously licked his dry lips and silently lowered his gaze.

What a clumsy method of seduction—even clumsier than an Omega’s inexplicable pheromones.

It was so clumsy that, in the next second, a pale finger unconsciously reached out toward the focused, studying Xie Yun.

Suddenly! The door was slammed open with a loud BANG.
