You’re my wife
12: 12.
You’re my wife Ivy’s POV
Theodore walks towards me until he is standing in front of me.
Was he always this handsome?
Was he always so tall and strong?
Did I forget?
I can smell his scent and, despite my best efforts, it excites me.
No!
I don’t want this.
I stand taller.
I remind myself of who I am.
I am not the Ivy who left Theodore and this place.
Not any more!
“Ivy?” Theodore stares at me as if he’s seen a ghost.
“You’re here. You’ve returned. You’re…so beautiful and… I…”
He’s struggling and I like it.
Let him struggle.
Let him be shaken by me, as he should be!
He owes me so much for the crimes he committed against me.
“Where have you been?
I’ve been looking for you.
Every day.
I have search parties all over the country.
I’ve hired private detectives.
I was starting to accept that you were dead.
And now you’re here.
How can it be?”
“But it is.
I ‘m here.” I’ll give him nothing.
I enjoy watching him suffer.
“Grandma Susan and Nicole have been so sad. We must phone them, they must see you. They must see you now. Strong and beautiful. Here, home again.”
When he mentions Grandma Susan and Nicole my heart aches.
I have missed them too.
Many times I’ve reached for the phone to call them and stopped myself.
I love them, but there was far too much at stake to fall into my own weakness.
There still is.
“No,” I say.
“This is not my home.
You and your pack showed me that, showed me that it never was my home.”
“Ivy, we made mistakes.
Is there no Grace or forgiveness?” Theodore says.
“The last time I saw you, you ordered that I be tied up and left in that hospital. You allowed them to inject me with poisons. Do you think that deserves grace? Deserves forgiveness? I don’t.”
I continue in a calm measured voice that covers my true emotions.
“You warned me then that I will only be allowed to leave when you decide and you would decide that only when I stopped lying.”
“The problem was I never lied to you.
But you had no grace for me.
You had no loyalty or trust.
You believed strangers and the evil ones, even murderers before you believed me.
Some things cannot be forgotten no matter how much time has passed.”
“I made mistakes.
I know that.
But I never stopped caring about you,” Theodore says as he reaches his hand out to take mine.
Ryder steps in and slaps it away.
“Do not touch her without her permission.”
He looks at him and his demeanour and words cool significantly.
His eyes thin and glow green.
“And who is this now?” Theodore says.
“You dare to come to my party with the man you ran away with?
The man who helped you escape from the hospital?
The man you’re likely lying with each night?”
“No one helped me escape from the hospital.
I escaped on my own.” I’ll not attend to his other jealous nonsense.
“Where did you go, Ivy? All of this time, where have you been?” He looks again at Ryder.
“Why are you here?
And who is this man who dares to talk so disrespectfully to the Alpha of Silver Claw?”
“So many questions Theodore,” I say.
“I owe you no answers. I owe you nothing.”
I spot Tiffany rushing up behind Theodore and I stop speaking.
I wait to hear what she will say and how Theodore will react.
“Get out of here, you lying bitch! Why do you come here and make a spectacle of yourself? Get out!” Tiffany is shouting like a made woman.
I smile.
“Watch out, Tiffany. Just now your husband will put you in the mental hospital,” I taunt her.
“He has that tendency.”
“You’re the insane one!
You can’t be here, Ivy.
This is a reception for the Princess of Ice Moon.
You just want to come here and embarrass Silver Claw.
Your evil shows no end!
Leave us!
This time leave us for good!
No one wants you here.”
“Tiffany, calm down.
We need answers from Ivy and we won’t get them in a shouting match,” Theodore says.
“No! I’ll not allow this woman to remain. How did you even sneak in here, Ivy? You like sneaking into places where you shouldn’t be. I am the Luna of Silver Claw. Me! I demand you leave.”She looks around.
“Where are the security guards?
Can’t they do their job?”
“Tiffany, remember?
I know who you are.
I’ve always known.
You might be the Beta heiress, but that is where it ends.
You are a manipulator, a liar and you tried to murder me.
You’ll learn that justice has a very long road to follow sometimes, but it will find you.
Do not be deluded into comfort, Tiffany.
Call yourself what you want — heiress, Luna, but I know the truth.”
Tiffany lunges at Ivy and Ryder steps in.
He grabs Tiffany and holds her tightly.
“Do not ever do that again or it will be your final act on Earth,” Ryder says.
The deadly look in his eyes stops Tiffany completely.
I’m tired of this drama.
I think we should go.
As I suspected, it was a bad idea to come here.
There was never going to be a way to hold a meeting about the partnership between Silver Claw and Ice Moon.
As I’m about to tell Ryder that it’s time to go, I see Nicole coming towards me.
Her eyes are full of tears.
“Nicole!” I call to her and push through the crowd trying to get to her.
I leave Ryder behind.
I need to talk to my real best friend.
When I’m halfway to her, I’m pulled out of the hall.
The crowd hides my view.
I can no longer see Nicole, and more importantly, I can no longer see Ryder.
“Ryder!” I call but the crowd is noisy.
Did he hear me?
Is he coming?
Suddenly I’m in an empty room.
It’s dark.
I can hear the person lock the door.
Have I been kidnapped?
He turns on a lamp.
It’s Theodore.
“You can’t just pull me where you want! I am not your property!” I say moving as far away from him as possible.
“I needed silence. I needed to talk to you, Ivy. You’re my wife. You ran away from me. You were gone for five long years. And then you just turn up? Looking so sexy and beautiful? How can I just accept that?”
Theodore is talking wildly, his emotions everywhere.
“Tiffany is your wife.
Not me.
Theodore everything has changed.
I am a different woman now, you are a different man.
We will not just pick up where we were no matter how much you might want to.
And in any case that place was nowhere I want to go again.”
“Say everything that you want, Ivy, but I know I loved you and you loved me.”
“A century ago.
People change Theodore.
You don’t know me.
Actually, until that night in the hospital, I didn’t even know me.
Now I do.”
I can smell his scent and feel the urge rise up in me.
He sniffs the air.
I can’t hide my scent of attraction from him.
He rushes to me.
He pushes me against the wall.
His hard strong body is pressed against me.
“Oh Ivy!|
I want him, my body betrays my mind.
How can I ache for him like this after all that he did to me, after all of this time?
“I don’t care about any of it,” he says.
“I know what I need, what you need.”
His breath is hot against my neck.
I feel his member hard against me.
My lust surges and he can sense it.
“I know you don’t really care about any of it either. My goddess, Ivy! Can you see what you are doing to me? I won’t be able to not take you. I don’t have that sort of willpower.” Theodore is beginning to shift.
He pushes closer to me.
My breasts hard against him, my heart beating at wildly.
My breath becoming laboured.
I say nothing because I’m certain my words will betray me as my body is.
Theodore is the enemy!
This cannot be happening!
“Ivy, what did you come back? I must know! Where were you? Why did you take so long, knowing I would be waiting and suffering until your return? Why would you do that to me?”
He lifts me up, wraps my legs around his waist.
His member, hard between my thighs covered by the dress.
A war rages inside of me: my brain reminds me that this man is evil and I must run —my body says I need him to take me.
I fight.
Which one will win hovers on a knife edge.
What can I do?
