The First Time Entering the Bridal Chamber

During the days when the Omega was away, Gu Zeyu could only sleep hugging his ugly stuffed animals. But once you’ve tasted watermelon, grapes just don’t seem as sweet. Gu Zeyu had gotten used to sleeping with Lu Yinian, the soft touch and warm body heat like a personal heater in his arms. Now, going back to hugging those toys, none of them compared to Lu Yinian.

He wasn’t concerned about the outcome of the battle at the front; he only cared about when Lu Yinian would return for him to hold. Lu Yinian also had a pleasant Omega pheromone scent. Although Gu Zeyu didn’t drink, he always felt this sweet and sour smell was like popping candy, making his heart race every time he caught a whiff.Full novel: Super Cute — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He called his writer Eighth Brother, asking if this was what love felt like. He seemed to have a tiny, tiny bit of affection for his Omega. Eighth Brother, upon hearing Lu Yinian had gone to the battlefield, hit him with three critical questions: “Do you hate to see him go, are you worried about his safety, are you afraid he might die on the battlefield?”

Gu Zeyu thought seriously for a second and said, “No.”

Eighth Brother’s reply was already prepared in the chat box, and he sent it without even looking at Gu Zeyu’s answer: “Then you really like him. Who wouldn’t like their married Omega? Novels about love after marriage are very popular.”

Gu Zeyu’s reply popped up just then, but Eighth Brother was already buried in writing his novel. By the time he saw it, the two-minute window to retract the message had passed. He thought it wasn’t important, and seeing that Gu Zeyu didn’t respond, he dove back into his writing.

When Lu Yinian returned, he was called to a war preparedness summary meeting. By the time he got out, it was already six in the evening. During the battle, he had captured an Echo Conch from the Sea Clan, which would repeat anything said into it three times. He didn’t know what came over him, but he felt the little Alpha would like this trivial thing.

“Where’s Gu Zeyu?” Returning to his room and not seeing the noisy Alpha, Lu Yinian asked the orderly with a stern face. Other people’s Omegas would run to the camp gate to wait for their husbands’ return, throwing themselves into their arms, unable to restrain the flood of pheromones.

But not Gu Zeyu. He didn’t even come to greet him, and there wasn’t a trace of him to be seen. That heartless little Alpha.

The orderly stammered for a while before saying, “Young Master Gu is at the mess hall.”

“I’ve been gone all these days, what has Gu Zeyu been doing in the camp?” Lu Yinian asked seriously, suppressing his temper.

“Sleeping in, going to the mess hall for lunch, taking a nap, going to the mess hall for dinner, chatting with the Omegas, going to the mess hall for a midnight snack,” the orderly replied.

“Why does he go to the mess hall three times a day? Didn’t you bring him meals?” Lu Yinian detected something amiss and asked in a deep voice.

“The mess hall recruited a batch of new recruits, both Alphas and Omegas. Young Master Gu… Young Master Gu said we veterans are too greasy, it’s more fun with them…” The orderly watched as Lu Yinian kicked over a trash can in anger and stormed out, hurriedly chasing after him and shouting, “They’re all very handsome, very handsome…”

When Lu Yinian found him, Gu Zeyu was laughing and chatting with a new recruit while feeding pigs. Lu Yinian’s expression was less than pleasant. Gu Zeyu wasn’t unhappy to see him, waving a pig feed scoop with a smile as bright as the moon, he said, “You’re back, have you eaten?”

He glanced at the bunch of pink piglets gathered around Gu Zeyu, their curly tails pointing skyward, and couldn’t bring himself to say “no.” When an Omega is angry, they release a sour pheromone, and the air was filled with his scent. Gu Zeyu, however, was oblivious, looking down and stirring the pig feed, puzzled, “Why did it suddenly go bad?”

Lu Yinian, too lazy to argue, hoisted him out of the pigpen and tossed him into the bathroom, starting to strip his clothes. Gu Zeyu fiercely defended himself, managing to keep only a pair of briefs with a pig tail, crossing his arms over his chest, “What are you doing? I just took a bath this morning, I’m clean. Is it that time, your Clear Period?”

Lu Yinian’s eyes darkened, looking at Gu Zeyu’s snow-white body, the slender shoulder blades and taut waist. His Adam’s apple bobbed, lips pressed tight. Seeing Gu Zeyu trying to escape while he was distracted, he grabbed the showerhead and sprayed him, lathering lemon-scented body wash on his slippery skin, “Yes, get ready, tonight we consummate. Aren’t you here to save me? I’m going into heat tonight.”

If Gu Zeyu weren’t so gullible, he would know that an Omega’s Clear Period doesn’t just come on a whim, but he was just that gullible.

He even shakily sent a message to Doctor Sixth Brother: “My Omega is going into heat tonight, what do I need to do?”

Sixth Brother replied quickly, and the entire message was filled with exclamation marks: “You must be on top!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Gu Zeyu found it strange. His understanding of Alpha-Omega pheromone exchange was purely imaginative, picturing it like this: “Hello, here’s my Alpha pheromone, please take it. I’ll keep your Omega pheromone safe in my bag.”

Lu Yinian was a soldier, and in his upbringing, divorce was not an option. Since Gu Zeyu was and always would be his partner, exercising rights and duties was what he should do.

When he carried Gu Zeyu out of the bathroom, the person was as soft as a little fish clinging to him. With a slight bow, he could smell the milky scent from Gu Zeyu’s neck gland, making him a bit dizzy. He couldn’t imagine what it would be like to be with Gu Zeyu, but some things didn’t need to follow reason.

He didn’t want Gu Zeyu to sleep with him, but he could sleep with Gu Zeyu.

So the kisses trailed down from Gu Zeyu’s brow, like gold leaf stamping “Lu Yinian” all over him. Lu Yinian interlaced his fingers with Gu Zeyu’s, pressing him down on the bed in a spread-eagle position. Gu Zeyu, kissed into a daze, found the game incredibly fun. The Omega’s soothing pheromones, warm and comforting, drifted through the room. He bit his lip, trying to suppress the urge to cry out from the pleasure.

Lu Yinian’s rough fingertips traced Gu Zeyu’s collarbone, following the contours of his body. This fish was very white, as white as the fine sand on the shore. He didn’t want to admit he had some affection for him, yet couldn’t stop himself from kissing Gu Zeyu’s chest, leaving a trail of crimson marks.

The AO pheromones in the air were at their peak, and even Gu Zeyu began to move uncontrollably. He had completely forgotten Sixth Brother’s message, lying beneath Lu Yinian like a doll for him to play with, too comfortable to move.

The urgent ringing of a phone broke the moment. Lu Yinian paused, and clarity flashed in Gu Zeyu’s eyes. He quickly turned over to silence the phone, then snuggled against Lu Yinian’s neck, whispering, “Continue.”

Lu Yinian’s voice was a bit hoarse. He tilted his head to kiss the corner of Gu Zeyu’s mouth, tracing his lips with his tongue before capturing them.

The ringing started again. Gu Zeyu apologetically reached for the phone, remembering he had already turned it off, so he nudged Lu Yinian’s firm chest with his toe, “It’s yours.”

Lu Yinian didn’t want to answer, but when he glanced at the caller ID, the name was both unfamiliar and familiar. He pinned Gu Zeyu to the bed with one hand and answered the call with the other. Whatever was said on the other end, Lu Yinian hung up in less than 30 seconds, looking at Gu Zeyu with a complicated expression.

Gu Zeyu didn’t know what had happened. Lu Yinian suddenly cooled down. He released his Alpha pheromones to entice Lu Yinian to continue, but his pheromones were too weak to have any effect. Lu Yinian picked up Gu Zeyu’s clothes, dressing him piece by piece. Seeing his puppy-like, wet eyes looking at him pitifully, he finally relented, “My Clear Period hasn’t come, we’ll talk next time.”

Before Gu Zeyu could get angry, Lu Yinian pulled out the Echo Conch, tossing it into his hands, “Here’s a gift I brought back for you. Say something into it.”

Gu Zeyu’s attention was easily diverted. He whispered into the conch, then listened with wide, bright eyes. He proudly held the Echo Conch to Lu Yinian’s ear, where his youthful voice echoed: “I really like my Omega. I really like my Omega. I really like my Omega!”

Lu Yinian’s previously gloomy expression softened instantly. He hugged Gu Zeyu, pinching his cheek, and said solemnly, “Let me prepare, next time we’ll consummate.”
