Chen Yu quietly observed the black beetle evolving inside the reinforced cage.
At first, the changes were slow.
Its shell became darker.
Its movements became faster.
Even its appetite increased greatly.
As the days passed, the creature gradually became stronger.
Chen Yu remembered the original story of Super Gene clearly.
When Han Sen used the black crystal, the black crystal evolved an ordinary creature into a sacred-blood creature within three months.
That memory stayed firmly in Chen Yu's mind.
"If the original story is correct…"
"…then this creature should evolve completely within three months."
Because of that, Chen Yu became extremely cautious.
The black beetle was already damaging normal cages easily.
So Chen Yu spent a large amount of money buying reinforced Z-steel alloy from Steel Armor Shelter.
Inside the First Sanctuary, Z-steel was considered one of the strongest metals available to ordinary hunters.
Very expensive.
But necessary.
Chen Yu rebuilt the prison carefully using thick Z-steel alloy plates.
Even the floor and walls were reinforced completely.
Afterward, he tightly restrained the creature's limbs using reinforced chains.
Hands.
Feet.
Body.
Everything was locked firmly to prevent the creature from escaping after evolving further.
The black beetle struggled violently many times.
But the Z-steel prison endured successfully.
Weeks slowly passed.
During those three months, Chen Yu did not stay idle.
He continued hunting primitive creatures outside Steel Armor Shelter with Han Yufei.
Sometimes they hunted together near lakes and forests.
Sometimes they separated to avoid attracting dangerous creature groups.
Han Yufei's combat skills improved rapidly during that period.
Meanwhile, Chen Yu also continued increasing his primitive geno points steadily.
At night, after returning to the shelter—
he always checked the black beetle first.
Every single day, the creature changed little by little.
Primitive stage.
Mutant stage.
Its shell slowly developed dark crimson patterns.
Sharp spikes appeared across its body.
Even the pressure released from the creature became heavier.
Chen Yu carefully observed every change while silently calculating the timing in his mind.
Three months.
Exactly like the original story.
But Chen Yu did not intend to evolve the creature completely inside this chapter.
Instead—
he quietly prepared himself for what would happen after the evolution finished.
"If it truly becomes a sacred-blood creature…"
"…then I'll kill it."
"…and eat all of its sacred flesh."
That single thought continuously repeated inside Chen Yu's mind during those three months.
