Li Jin walked out of the film set. Since it was the first day of shooting, the production team had invited many journalists for publicity purposes.

The moment they spotted Li Jin, they immediately swarmed forward.

The questions they asked were still mostly about the investment in Feng Ning.Full novel: Super Sweet! Young Master LI’s Top-Tier Drama Queen: Wild and Sassy — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Li Jin was in a somewhat bad mood, radiating a cold and aloof aura from head to toe, and his responses were curt.

Xu Lin, the assistant following behind him, noticed the impatience written across his face. Just as he was about to dismiss the crowd, one bold female reporter spoke up.

“President Li, countless people have pursued you over the years, yet no one has ever caught your eye. On behalf of everyone here, I’d like to ask—what type do you prefer?”

Hearing this, Li Jin narrowed his eyes slightly and coldly uttered a few words in a frigid tone.

“Obedient, gentle, and sensible.”

Although Li Jin held a high position, he wasn’t opposed to marriage. However, whoever ended up by his side in the future would have to be someone compliant and tactful.

Seeing that Li Jin had answered the question, the reporter pressed on: “Then what type do you dislike the most?”

“Spoiled and pretentious.”

As he said this, Wen Ting’s face involuntarily surfaced in Li Jin’s mind. She was nothing but a troublemaker who stirred up problems at every turn—exactly the kind of woman he despised the most.

The interview ended there.

Everyone assumed that the future Mrs. Li would surely be a gentle, graceful, and composed woman.

On the set, Wen Ting was chatting with Qi Yan and naturally noticed Xu Man’s burning gaze.

She shot a provocative look back at her.

Her eyes were full of arrogance, her expression practically screaming, “Don’t mess with me.”

Xu Man gritted her teeth in fury. She and Qi Yan were supposed to be the official couple, yet Wen Ting was laughing and chatting with him in full view of everyone—did she have no respect for her at all?

As the director called for action, Wen Ting stepped onto the set.

The first scene was a confrontation scene with Xu Man.

Xu Man had originally wanted to take Wen Ting down a peg, but she hadn’t expected the woman’s acting to be surprisingly good—even better than her own…

The second scene was still between Wen Ting and Xu Man.

In this scene, the Fifth Princess had already fallen from grace, and Xu Man, as the female lead, came to exact revenge, slapping the Fifth Princess across the face.

Wen Ting had heard all about the tricks of the entertainment industry. As they took their positions, she coldly warned Xu Man in a low voice: “If you dare actually hit me with that slap, I guarantee the Xu Corporation won’t see the sun tomorrow.”

Xu Man had indeed been planning to use this scene to teach Wen Ting a lesson, but upon hearing her words, she let out a cold laugh. “Ha, so what if you’ve latched onto Lu Jue? Who are you trying to scare?”

However, when filming began.

As the two faced off, meeting Wen Ting’s piercing gaze, Xu Man inexplicably felt a flicker of fear. In the end, the slap was merely for show, barely grazing Wen Ting’s face.

The morning’s filming went smoothly. At lunchtime, Xu Li brought Wen Ting the standard meal box provided by the production crew.

By now, Wen Ting was exhausted and hungry. She opened the meal box, and her expression immediately changed.

It wasn’t that she was being picky or unable to eat such ordinary food—it was just that… one of the cold dishes was mixed with peanuts.

“Go buy me a new one from outside. I’m allergic to peanuts.”

“Oh, oh, okay, Sister Ting. Wait for me a moment.”

Wen Ting added another instruction: “And no dishes with scallions or ginger.”

“Got it!”

Xu Li had just left when Xu Man, who was eating across from her, started running her mouth again. “How fussy. Are you here to act or to be pampered?”

Wen Ting rolled her eyes in exasperation. “Are you out of your mind? Running your mouth like that at every opportunity.”

When it came to people she couldn’t stand, Wen Ting always liked to hit where it hurt. Before Xu Man could even get a word in, she continued her attack: “No wonder Lu Jue broke up with you!”

“You—” Xu Man was so furious she slammed her chopsticks onto the table. “If it weren’t for that face of yours, would Lu Jue have broken up with me? It’s all your fault, you fox spirit!”

“Oh? So you admit I’m better-looking than you?” Wen Ting crossed her arms and smiled sweetly at her. “Don’t get so angry—getting upset makes you age faster. Then Lu Jue will look down on you even more. Actually, wait—he already does!”

Xu Man: !!

That bitch! Arghhh!

The first day of filming wrapped up at five in the evening, and the production crew organized a kickoff party.

Wen Ting hadn’t originally planned to attend, but then she thought—a party? Li Jin should be there as the investor, right?

With that in mind, Wen Ting went home and dressed up carefully, picking out a wine-red dress to change into.

When she came downstairs, Gu Nanshen was sitting on the sofa, scrolling through his phone with great interest.

Wen Ting walked up to him in her high heels.

“Well? Do I look good?”

Gu Nanshen gave her an appraising once-over. “Not bad. But you should still give up on the idea of seducing Li Jin!”

Wen Ting frowned.

Gu Nanshen handed her his phone. “An interview with Li Jin just went up online.”

Curious, Wen Ting took the phone. A video at the top showed Li Jin’s interview from the afternoon. At the end, the reporter asked him what type he liked…

“Tell me—which word out of ‘gentle,’ ‘sweet,’ and ‘well-behaved’ has anything to do with you?” Gu Nanshen rested his chin on his hand and sneered. “‘Spoiled and dramatic’ fits you much better.”

Wen Ting: …

She tossed the phone back to Gu Nanshen. “Stop mocking me. Worry about yourself!”

Hearing this, Gu Nanshen caught the phone with a puzzled look.

He saw a WeChat message from his “good brother,” saved as “Ya Ya.”

[Ahhhh I can’t believe Li Jin likes the gentle type QAQ. I’ve decided—I’m going to change my style for him!]

Gu Nanshen: …

He angrily shut off his phone. “Dear sister! Don’t give up! Go get him! Take down Li Jin right now!”

Wen Ting broke into a smile. She was about to leave when something seemed to occur to her, and she asked, “By the way—was it you who recommended me behind the scenes when The Travelogue invited me to be a guest?”

Earlier that afternoon, Wen Ting had overheard that Gu Nanshen was an investor in The Travelogue.

“Yeah. If you want to thank me, kowtow three times!”

Wen Ting rolled her eyes in exasperation.

She knew very well that without her family’s connections, she’d never make a name for herself in this industry—what she’d said in front of Grandma before was just big talk.

And she wasn’t about to turn down free resources from Gu Nanshen!

Leaving the villa, Wen Ting drove alone to the hotel the production crew had booked.

Arriving at the parking lot, she changed back into her high heels, checked herself in the mirror for a moment, and only then slowly opened the car door and stepped out.

Not far away, the door of a Rolls-Royce also opened, and a man in a black suit got out.

Watching that cold, aloof figure, Wen Ting curved her lips slightly and quickened her pace to catch up.
