I didn’t even want to make eye contact with him yet.

Bihan huffed and followed Warren out.

Masha let out a soft sigh and picked me up.Full novel: Surviving as the Devil’s Child — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“My lady, were you scared?

Lord Warren is so intimidating that all the children in the dormitory burst into tears the first time they saw him.

But you didn’t even cry.”

Lately, I had grown to like being held in Masha’s arms.

She smelled wonderful, and her embrace was soft and warm.

Though I had regressed so many times, I had never been held in such an embrace, in this way, even once.

Masha.

Even if the world ends, I will protect you.

“Abyaaa.”

“Oh dear, did you wet yourself?”

“…”

Now, I slept in the crib, while Masha slept on a small bed in the corner of my room.

I tried telling her to sleep comfortably in the larger bed (“Byaaa.

Amoooo.”), but it didn’t work.

I stared quietly at the moonlight filtering through the curtains.

Perhaps because I was in a child’s body, the passage of time felt incredibly slow.

‘I’m bored.’

I need to at least be able to walk to get anything done.

After the first destruction of the world, I lived an incredibly busy life.

To prevent the apocalypse and build my strength, I hadn’t wasted a single second.

In my very last timeline, when I regressed to around five years old, I had practiced my swordsmanship with broken tree branches even though my skills had already reached mastery.

All to become stronger.

And yet, here I was, reduced to just breathing while lying in a crib carved with Bihan’s face.

I couldn’t stand the waste of time.

I turned my gaze to the “normal mobile” Warren had bought.

It was a mobile adorned with miniature swords, shields, dragons, and wizard staffs.

It wasn’t exactly normal either, but it was a massive improvement over Bihan’s.

Staring at the motionless mobile in the windless room, I gently tried to gather mana.

As mana gathered in a fragile body not even a year old, my blood vessels began to scream.

‘This isn’t going to work.’

I quickly broke my concentration.

‘I want to at least be able to use Clairvoyance.’

Clairvoyance.

It was one of my special spells.

It was a technique I had extorted from a dragon after defeating it in one of my past timelines; it wasn’t something a human could learn on their own.

Being dragon magic, it required an immense amount of mana.

No human mage would possess enough mana to cast it.

But with Clairvoyance, I could observe distant places without moving an inch.
