Shi Nianhuan stared at Jiang Chenyu with a pair of large, innocent, bewildered eyes. The aggrieved feelings filling her heart had nowhere to vent, erupting again and again until her very heart ached.
The dim yellow light shone on the top of her head, creating layer after layer of beautiful halos.
Jiang Chenyu swallowed.
The Woman’s porcelain-jade-like skin, fluttering slender eyelashes, and slightly trembling, delicate shoulders were all tempting him.
An unprecedented heat instantly filled his entire body, and Jiang Chenyu’s breathing grew heavy.
The sudden and unexpected kisses landed on her lips, cheeks, and neck. Shi Nianhuan was simply completely unprepared.
“What are you doing?” She came to her senses and let out a soft shout.
But her reaction was ultimately too slow. Jiang Chenyu had already pressed her against the wall, leaving both her hands unable to move.
A trace of anger flashed across her face. She stamped her foot hard, but it did nothing to stop the man’s dense kisses from continuing to fall upon her like raindrops.
His hands roamed all over her body, carrying a scorching heat.
He reached out and lifted her chin, forcing her to look straight into his eyes, while wave after wave of uncontrollable impulse surged in his chest.
The atmosphere inside the room grew ambiguous. She was very afraid of him at this moment. Wasn’t he supposed to hate her? He had so many women; surely he would not be so desperate as to make a move on her?
However, for Shi Nianhuan, whose cultivation was still shallow, there was no way for her to guess Jiang Chenyu’s thoughts.
The hand gripping her chin exerted slightly more force, until even his knuckles turned white.
“Jiang Chenyu, have you gone crazy?” She was in pain, so much pain that she began speaking without thinking.
Jiang Chenyu looked with interest at the Woman before him, who rarely shouted at him, and the corner of his mouth curled into a mocking smile.
“I’ve gone crazy?”
At the critical moment, Shi Nianhuan lost her nerve again. She was frightened inside and did not dare answer any of Jiang Chenyu’s questions.
Looking at the mist slowly gathering in Shi Nianhuan’s eyes, Jiang Chenyu suddenly came to his senses.
He angrily slammed his fist against the wall, producing a loud pounding sound that frightened Shi Nianhuan so badly she did not even dare breathe heavily.
He looked at Shi Nianhuan once more, lost in thought, then suddenly turned around and strode away.
Shi Nianhuan remained standing where she was, still shaken.
Only after even the sound of footsteps had disappeared and her world had fallen completely silent did Shi Nianhuan dare let out a long breath.
She increasingly felt that this Jiang Chenyu was strange. In the future, if she could avoid provoking him, she had better do her best not to.
However, Shi Nianhuan reconsidered. Jiang Chenyu was still so young, yet he had taken on such a heavy responsibility for the family business. It was normal for him to feel some pressure.
She stuck out her tongue, hoping that while Uncle and Auntie were away, she could avoid going home as much as possible. That way, she would not have to be alone with him.
Jiang Chenyu locked himself in his room and took another hot shower.
He was furious. He had never felt this way toward other women, yet in front of Shi Nianhuan, he had failed to control himself twice.
This Woman was dangerous...
Shi Nianhuan was genuinely afraid of Jiang Chenyu. How afraid was she? The next morning, she skipped breakfast and, while Jiang Chenyu was still asleep, grabbed her belongings and returned to school.
When Shi Nianhuan arrived at the dormitory, it was only eight in the morning, and her roommates had not gotten up yet.
After swiping her card and opening the dormitory door, she deliberately lightened her movements, afraid of disturbing her roommates.
Before she had even sat down properly, a rustling sound came from the bed, followed by a head poking out from above.
“Nianhuan, you’re back? Why are you so early?”
Shi Nianhuan gave a faint smile. “There wasn’t much to do at home, so I figured I might as well return to school. Besides, I still have homework to finish.”
Bi Tiantian smacked her lips. “All right, then. Let me take a look after you finish.”
Shi Nianhuan smiled helplessly. Bi Tiantian simply had that kind of personality. Aside from sleeping, the thing she was most interested in was handsome guys.
“Oh, right.” Bi Tiantian poked her head out again. “The fruit on your desk was something the class monitor asked me to give you yesterday.”
Shi Nianhuan’s gaze fell on her desk, and her expression became somewhat surprised.
“Nianhuan, our class monitor is truly sincere toward you. He’s also quite a good-looking young man. Are you really not going to consider him?” Bi Tiantian continued chattering.
Shi Nianhuan’s face flushed bright red. She had always known that the class monitor took good care of her.
It was just that the class monitor had never done anything improper. Could it really be as Bi Tiantian said, that he had feelings for her?
“Tiantian, stop talking nonsense.”
“I’m not talking nonsense.” Bi Tiantian stuck out her tongue.
Shi Nianhuan knew she could not win the argument, so she stopped speaking further.
Her mobile phone rang at just the right moment.
The number displayed above was unfamiliar and had no name attached to it. She did not recognize it at all.
After hesitating for a moment, she answered.
“Shi Nianhuan.” A familiar voice rang out with a cheerful melody.
Shi Nianhuan only slightly frowned, then quickly remembered whose voice it was.
“Momo?”
“Hi, it’s me. I got your mobile phone number from Lin Xiangyang.”
Shi Nianhuan was absent-minded for a moment. Hearing Lin Xiangyang’s name from Momo’s lips, her heart filled with bitterness.
“Is something the matter?” Shi Nianhuan asked gently.
“Are you at school? I’m going to your school at noon. Come out and let me treat you to eat.”
Shi Nianhuan opened and closed her mouth, somewhat surprised.
She and Momo had only met once. Were they familiar enough to have a meal together like this?
However, although she was puzzled, Shi Nianhuan did not ask. Instead, she spoke lightly with a sweet smile. “Sure.”
“Then I’ll wait for you beside the south gate of your school at noon. I’ll call you when I arrive.”
“Okay.”
Shi Nianhuan hung up the phone and pondered what Momo could want with her.
Still, she did want to get to know Momo a little, because she was the girl Lin Xiangyang liked.
Although Ke Da was located in the outskirts of the Capital, its campus was truly enormous. Even driving around it once took half an hour.
Ke Da had four gates in total: the east gate, north gate, west gate, and south gate.
The south gate could be considered the smallest of the four, but it was also the gate all the students visited most frequently.
Outside the south gate was a small street lined with all kinds of snack shops. Whenever mealtime arrived, it could always attract a large number of students.
Shi Nianhuan stood by the roadside and quickly found Momo among the scattered crowd.
She was looking down at her mobile phone. Although it was already late autumn, she was still wearing a short skirt that revealed two slender, fair legs. Standing there motionless, she became a beautiful sight.
Shi Nianhuan smiled slightly and slowly walked over.
“Momo.” She stood beside her and spoke softly.
Momo looked up. When she saw who it was, an exceptionally radiant smile immediately bloomed across her face, and she reached out to familiarly drape an arm over Shi Nianhuan’s shoulder.
