The next morning, Noel stood at the edge of the oasis and stared across the desert.
Forty-four people lived here now.
Forty-four.
A few weeks ago, there had been only twelve.
The little settlement was already changing.
But Noel had a problem.
A very obvious problem.
He turned around.
There were houses scattered everywhere.
Some were made of stone.
Others were simple wooden structures.
The farms were growing.
The water channels were expanding.
And in the center stood the golden statue.
Noel crossed his arms.
“This isn’t a city.”
Aran looked at him.
“Not yet.”
Noel nodded.
“Exactly.”
He raised his hand.
“Today, we start building one.”
A Plan
Noel gathered everyone in the central plaza.
A large piece of stone appeared in front of him.
With his Geo abilities, he carved a rough map into it.
“This is the oasis.”
He pointed to the center.
“This will become the central district.”
Then he pointed outward.
“Residential areas here.”
“Farms here.”
“Workshops here.”
“Markets here.”
“And this…”
He pointed toward a large open area.
“…will eventually become the city wall.”
The residents stared at the map.
One man raised his hand.
“How long will that take?”
Noel thought about it.
“A while.”
The man nodded.
“How long?”
Noel smiled.
“Long enough that you shouldn’t expect it tomorrow.”
Everyone laughed.
The First Stone
Noel walked to the edge of the settlement.
He placed his palm against the ground.
“Let’s begin.”
BOOOOOOM!
The earth shook.
Stone erupted from beneath the desert.
A massive foundation stretched across the sand.
The residents stared in amazement.
Noel continued.
Stone blocks rose one after another.
Roads began forming.
Walls.
Buildings.
Bridges.
Reservoirs.
The work that would normally take years began taking shape in a matter of days.
But Noel deliberately slowed himself down.
He didn’t want to create everything instantly. New chapters come out on g.com first.
The people needed to learn how to build.
How to farm.
How to repair.
How to maintain what they had.
A nation couldn’t depend entirely on its founder.
Noel understood that.
“If I’m gone someday…”
He looked at the workers.
“…this place still needs to stand.”
The system appeared.
[Leadership principle recognized.]
[Morax Template Synchronization: 2.1%]
Noel smiled.
“So that’s what you’re looking for.”
Aran’s First Task
Aran approached Noel.
“Lord Noel.”
“Yes?”
“You said I should use my Vision to help the nation.”
“I did.”
“What should I do?”
Noel pointed toward the fields.
“Build.”
Aran looked confused.
“Build?”
“You’re a Geo Vision user.”
Noel smiled.
“You don’t need to fight monsters every day.”
Aran looked toward the farmland.
Then he understood.
He walked over.
His Geo Vision glowed.
CRACK!
Stone rose from the ground.
He shaped it into irrigation channels.
Other workers quickly joined him.
Soon, the fields had a much better water system.
Noel watched silently.
Then he smiled.
“Good.”
The Vision wasn’t just a weapon.
It was becoming part of everyday life.
The City Wall
Weeks passed.
The settlement continued growing.
The first proper roads were completed.
A market square was established.
More farms appeared.
The water reservoir expanded.
And finally—
The city wall was ready.
Noel stood before it.
It wasn’t enormous.
But it was strong.
Thick stone surrounded the settlement.
At the main entrance, Noel created two massive stone pillars.
Above the gate, he carved a simple symbol:
A golden Geo emblem surrounded by desert sand.
The residents gathered outside.
Noel looked at them.
“This isn’t just a wall.”
He placed his hand against the stone.
Everyone became quiet.
“Inside these walls, you are safe.”
The crowd cheered.
Noel smiled.
For the first time…
He felt like he was actually building a nation.
The Name
That evening, everyone gathered in the central plaza.
The golden statue illuminated the night.
Noel stood beneath it.
“We need a name.”
The residents began suggesting ideas.
Some were complicated.
Some were ridiculous.
One child suggested:
“Sandland!”
Noel almost laughed.
“Absolutely not.”
😂
After a long discussion, the elderly woman who had been with Noel since the beginning stepped forward.
“What about Liyue?”
Noel froze.
Everyone looked at him.
He stared at the woman.
“…Liyue?”
She nodded.
“It means the land where we live.”
Noel slowly smiled.
He liked it.
“Then…”
He looked around at the people.
“Our settlement shall be called Liyue.”
The system immediately appeared.
[Settlement officially named.]
[LIYUE]
[Population: 44]
[Nation Development: 9%]
Noel stared.
“Liyue…”
He looked at the golden statue.
Then at the city walls.
Then at the people.
A strange feeling filled his chest.
He wasn’t simply surviving anymore.
He was creating something.
Far away, deep within the wilderness, one of Noel’s siblings suddenly opened an eye.
A familiar chakra signature had changed.
Shukaku.
The voice of Matatabi echoed through the Tailed Beast connection.
Something has changed.
Kurama opened his eyes.
What did he do now?
Gyūki chuckled.
Probably built another wall.
Son Gokū laughed.
Or maybe he finally has a hundred people.
Kurama smirked.
Let’s see.
Back in the desert, Noel stood atop the city wall.
He looked over his new home.
Liyue had begun.
And none of them knew just how important that tiny desert city would become.
To be continued…
