Fu Siqi spotted two guys harassing Su Luoyan from a distance and hurried over in her high heels.

Without even taking a moment to see what the two looked like, she first checked on her best friend. Noticing her pale complexion, she asked with concern, “Yan Yan, are you okay?”

“Siqi, I’m fine. Let’s go.” Su Luoyan held both their bags in one hand and their coats draped over the other arm. After all, this was Mo Lin’s bar, and she didn’t want to cause trouble at her friend’s place.Full novel: Teasing: Acting Cute in President Fu’s Arms — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Alright.” Fu Siqi took the bags and coats from her friend, and the two prepared to leave.

In the dim light, one of the guys stroked his chin, his gaze lingering on Fu Siqi’s face. She looked familiar, and when she spoke, he finally confirmed it. “You’re Fu Siqi?”

Fu Siqi recognized that voice all too well. Talk about a small world—she never expected to run into him like this.

She addressed the two with a sarcastic tone, “Chen Hao, Wu Zixing, so it’s you two. I must’ve forgotten to check the almanac today—ran into ghosts instead.”

A dead ex-boyfriend showing up in the middle of the night? That was practically a ghost.

She had always played the role of the good girl in front of her ex, but now that they were broken up, she dropped the act. She couldn’t be bothered pretending anymore. Let the school gossip spread however it wanted.

Pulling Su Luoyan over, she introduced them. “This is Wu Zixing, my dead ex-boyfriend. The Ghost Festival isn’t even here yet, and he’s already crawled out. And this one is his good buddy—Chen Hao. Both are quite the ‘characters’ at our school.”

Su Luoyan said flatly in a questioning tone, “Are you sure it’s not ‘scumbags’?”

Chen Hao was about to say something but was stopped by his friend.

Wu Zixing grinned. “It really is you, Fu Siqi. You’ve changed a lot since school.”

Back in school, Fu Siqi dressed plainly and looked innocent and obedient—that was why he had agreed to date her in the first place. She seemed easy to handle. But Fu Siqi turned out to be boring. Their dates consisted of walking around campus, occasionally watching movies, and holding hands. Whenever he dropped hints, she never seemed to get them. Over time, it just became dull.

“Likewise. You’ve changed a lot too since school.”

Wu Zixing looked at her with a lecherous gaze, his eyes lingering on her exposed long legs. “If you had dressed like this back then, I wouldn’t have broken up with you. Why pretend to be so pure at school?”

“So that’s your excuse for cheating? That’s why you two-timed? If you can’t control your third leg, you might as well chop it off.” Her voice dripped with disgust.

Wu Zixing smirked, raising an eyebrow at her, his words laced with sarcasm. “And what about you? You must come to bars often. Why pretend to be some innocent virgin in front of me? You’ve probably been passed around plenty.”

For the first time, Fu Siqi truly felt she had been blind and misjudged him. Here was a man who assumed the worst about women, tried to use “chastity” to shame them, and spewed nothing but filth—utterly devoid of morals and downright malicious.

Just as she raised her right hand, Su Luoyan was quicker, splashing a drink in Wu Zixing’s face.

“You wanted a drink earlier, right? This one’s on me. No need to thank me. If it’s not enough, I can pour you another.”Wu Zixing was drenched with water all over his face, looking utterly disheveled. He pointed at the two of them, gritting his teeth. “You two, fine. Looks like you need to be taught a lesson.”

He grabbed a wine glass from the table and smashed it viciously onto the surface. With a loud “bang,” the glass shattered into pieces. The man before them now wore a ferocious expression, completely devoid of the refined elegance he had displayed while trying to flirt.

This commotion drew the attention of many people nearby, with numerous eyes turning toward them.

Fu Siqi looked at him coldly. “Oh, looking for trouble, huh? You didn’t even bother to find out who your grandma is.”

Many of those who frequented Twilight Bar belonged to Beijing’s upper-class circles, and even those who weren’t were mostly second-generation elites. Fu Siqi was a regular at the bar, and with this scene unfolding, many recognized her.

“That’s Fu Siqi, Fu Cheng Shen’s most beloved younger sister,” said a girl who was also a regular at Twilight Bar and had crossed paths with Fu Siqi before.

“Who’s the one next to her? I’ve never seen her before.” Her family had only risen to prominence in recent years, so she had only recently started mingling with these young masters and ladies.

“That’s Su Luoyan, a well-known beauty in Beijing’s socialite circles. She doesn’t interact much with us. She’s the princess Fu Cheng Shen holds in the palm of his hand. She went abroad after high school, so no wonder you don’t know her.”

“Such a big shot!” Her tone was filled with surprise.

Wu Zixing and Chen Hao overheard the surrounding whispers. Neither of them had expected that Fu Siqi, who usually kept a low profile at school, had such a formidable background.

Chen Hao tugged at Wu Zixing’s arm and whispered, “Apologize and let’s go.”

Wu Zixing felt too embarrassed to back down, but he no longer wore the aggressive, confrontational expression he had earlier.

“Xiao Si, are you planning to cause trouble on my turf again today?”

Following the voice, they saw a man dressed in a suit, wearing gold-rimmed glasses. He had a refined appearance and carried an air of scholarly elegance. Yet, standing in this noisy, bustling place, he didn’t seem out of place at all.

Beside him was another man, also dressed in a suit, with handsome features and a particularly sharp gaze that carried an intimidating authority. Just standing there, he evoked fear.

Two mature men with completely different temperaments, each exuding their own unique charm.

Fu Siqi, like a little rabbit, hid behind Su Luoyan. “Eldest Brother, Brother Lin.”

Su Luoyan stepped forward slightly, glancing at Fu Cheng Shen. Just as she did, he looked back at her, and she averted her gaze somewhat uncomfortably.

Su Luoyan nodded slightly at the two men, smiling. “Brother Shen, Brother Lin, you’re here.”

Ignoring Fu Siqi for a moment, Fu Cheng Shen’s gaze settled on Su Luoyan, his brows furrowing slightly as if dissatisfied with her outfit.

Su Luoyan pretended not to notice Fu Cheng Shen’s look and instead turned to Mo Lin. “Brother Lin, it’s been a while.”

Mo Lin glanced at Fu Cheng Shen beside him, adjusted his glasses, and smiled. “When did you return, Luoyan? You didn’t even tell your brothers, so we could throw you a welcome party.”

“I just got back yesterday and haven’t had the chance to tell you yet. I’ll treat you all to a meal another day,” Su Luoyan said.

Mo Lin’s gaze shifted past Su Luoyan to the little rabbit hiding behind her. “Why wait for another day? How about today? I’ll call the others over later.”

Fu Siqi poked Su Luoyan in the waist, clearly reluctant.

Su Luoyan whispered, “You tell Eldest Brother and Brother Lin yourself.”Fu Siqi dared not act recklessly in front of these two big shots.

“Little Si.” Every time Mo Lin called her name, she felt a sense of dread, like being called on by a teacher in class.

“Hmm?” Her voice was timid.

“Are these two your friends?” Mo Lin asked.

“Just two thugs I ran into at the bar,” Fu Siqi said irritably. “Brother Lin, this is a bar, not a police station. Why do you let all sorts of good and bad people in?”

Mo Lin raised his eyes to look at the two, a slight smile curling at the corner of his mouth, yet it sent chills down their spines.

“Thugs?”

Aside from being the bar owner, Mo Lin was also a guest professor at Jingbei University. Both of these two had attended his classes and heard plenty of rumors about him in the business world.

“Professor Mo, hello! I’m Chen Hao, a junior in the Economics and Management Department. I’ve taken your elective course.”

“Professor Mo, I’m Wu Zixing. We’re classmates. Everything today was a misunderstanding. We apologize to Siqi and her friends.”

The two bowed deeply, their earlier arrogance gone, repeatedly saying sorry.

Seeing them grovel like this, Fu Siqi felt no satisfaction from revenge, only disgust.

“I don’t accept your apology. Get lost. Don’t let me see you at school again, or I’ll beat you up every time I do.”

Wu Zixing said, “Siqi, I’m sorry for what happened before. I promise I won’t appear in front of you again.”
