Leon woke up the next morning, turned on his phone, and found endless texts from Scott and Stiles.
They told him about their break-in to check the bus, about Derek’s encounter with the hunters at the gas station, and about the death of the bus driver.
“Whatever.” Leon shook his head, not interested in any unimportant details, but the last couple of texts made him smile.
“Kate Argent is in town.”
***********
“So what did you guys do?” Leon asked as they walked down the hallway.
“He said he’ll look for a way,” Scott responded.
“Worst case he’ll come find us.”
“Alright,” Leon said, nodding.
They were talking about Scott’s late-night adventure, Kate shooting Derek, and his poisoning with the yellow wolfsbane.
The day passed, and classes ended, when a message appeared in the group chat from Derek, telling them he needed help and that he was at the school.
Soon, Derek, Stiles, and Scott jumped into the jeep with Scott’s bike tied to the back as they drove away, leaving Leon at the school, standing by his car as he watched Lydia get into Allison’s car and drive away.
They had a study date, so as Lydia jumped into Allison’s car, he noticed Jackson staring at them from a distance, holding the back of his neck.
‘Again, same plot events happened, maybe some details changed, but it’s the same,’ Leon thought as he started driving.
‘Derek got shot, then later came to the school asking for help, and encountered Jackson in the hallway and clawed the back of his neck by accident.’ He hated how everything was going.
Even when he changed so much, it still followed the same script.
‘Should I ruin the Kanima part of the show?’ Leon wondered.
After all, if Jackson dies, there would be no Kanima.
‘Unless I control it myself.
But whenever I see his face I get pissed off, so maybe I’ll take the bloodline and kill him when he turns.
Make it quick, and avoid a lot of issues down the line.
Let’s see if the plot can still maintain itself after that.’
Leon did not care about grinding SE from plot events anymore.
It was slow and a pain to keep up with, especially when he remembered none of the plot from the later seasons, but there was one thing he knew for sure.
If I take away a major piece of the plot, I wonder how much SE I’d get.
***********
Lydia and Allison lay on the bed in Allison’s room, the two of them talking.
“Are you sure you want to use Scott to piss Leon off?” Lydia asked.
“He seemed serious when he said that.”
“Whatever.” Allison shook her head.
“I could not care less.
If he’s not serious, then screw him.
Plus Scott isn’t bad looking — his brown eyes are kind of cute.”
“Yeah, sure.” Lydia twirled her hair.
“Although I don’t believe you.”
Ring!
“Someone’s here?” Lydia asked.
“Probably my dad forgot his keys,” Allison said as she got up.
“Or Aunt Kate.”
Allison left to open the door, while Lydia lay on the bed with her phone in her hands.
Unbeknownst to both of them, Leon had already jumped through a room’s window, and opened the door slightly before walking out, looking over the rail at Allison opening the door to nobody.
Leon couldn’t hear anyone else in the house, which meant the Argents weren’t home yet, so he moved instantly, and with his Super Speed at Lv4 he didn’t even take a few seconds to find Kate’s room, grab the bag, pocket a bullet, and leave, going back to the room he’d jumped in from, while Allison was still looking around for who’d rung the doorbell.
Suddenly, the heavy, rumbling vibration of an engine echoed from the driveway downstairs.
Bright headlights cut across the bedroom ceiling through the window curtains.
A car door slammed, the thud shattering the mood instantly.
“My dad,” Leon could hear Allison whisper.
Outside, Kate walked with confidence in her tight outfit, her hips moving in a rhythm that made even Leon look for a second too long before he jumped out, leaving the area.
***********
Leon held a small vial of blood in his hand, twirling it around.
“Should I turn her?” Leon asked himself.
The image of Kate appeared in his head — that sexy and mischievous woman.
“A bit psychotic, though.”
He remembered the canon events from the show.
Peter was hunting down the people involved in the burning of the Hale house, which had caused the death of most of the family and left him suffering for years while his cells healed slowly, and to be honest, as annoying as Peter was, Leon didn’t find any faults in his actions.
Some people might disagree, calling it vigilante justice or some bullshit excuse of “murder is wrong,” like the naive Scott, but Leon didn’t see it that way.
After all, weren’t the Hunters doing the same thing?
Killing any supernatural creature they found, innocent or not.
“Sorry, Peter,” Leon muttered.
“I’ll let you get your revenge, but the Alpha spark has to be passed to Derek.” Although he’d started to dislike following the canon plot, Leon still wanted to have some variables within his control, and Derek could be considered a friend at this point — and with an upgrade, he’d be a useful friend. Leon set the vial down, making up his mind.
***********
“Alright, we’ll watch The Notebook,” Jackson said, looking over at Lydia sitting next to him.
“Fine, we’ll see,” she said.
“We’re good?” Jackson asked, a rare look of defeat on his face.
“For now,” Lydia said reluctantly, but as she saw Jackson come closer for a kiss, she suddenly remembered Leon’s words, and she dodged.
“I’m still mad,” she said quickly.
Jackson grunted, got out of his car and slammed the door, then entered the video store in a huff.
As it all happened, Leon sat in another car not too far away, watching everything, even noticing Lydia’s dodge.
“Good girl,” he muttered.
Soon, he heard a crash from inside, then a minute later, a giant creature jumped out of the store’s window, shattering it.
Lydia screamed, completely frozen, and as she looked around, she saw the dark blue Ford Mustang parked not far away, and instantly remembered the boy she couldn’t keep out of her mind.
She threw open the car door, tears welling in her eyes as she ran over, and seeing Leon step out, she didn’t stop — she jumped straight into his arms, crying.
“I— I just saw—” she muttered.
“Don’t think about it,” Leon said, caressing her head.
“It’s gone now.”
***********
After talking to the police, Leon stood there with Stiles as they watched them work.
Leon would rather have stayed out of this, but he couldn’t think of another way to safely see the Alpha and use his new skill on it.

Leon looked at the stats and let out a low whistle.
“That thing would kill me before I even knew what happened.” He shook his head.
“Good thing I leveled up the Identify skill, otherwise I’d have wasted this chance.”
Leon had tested the skill on Scott, Derek, and even Stiles, and noticed that at level one, it failed to even display the abilities of the people he scanned, only identifying their type — but after he leveled it up a couple of times, he managed to see the beta werewolves’ stats better.

“What part of ‘I’m fine’ are you having a problem grasping?
Okay, I want to go home,” Jackson said snidely.
“And I understand that—” Noah Stilinski tried patiently to explain.
“No, you don’t understand that, which kind of blows my mind, since it should be a pretty basic concept to grasp for a minimum-wage rent-a-cop like you!
Okay, now, I want to go home!” Jackson yelled.
“Hey—” Leon appeared behind him, already pissed off at the way this spoiled cunt was speaking.
“You need to watch your mouth, you insecure piece of unloved garbage.”
“Hey, kid, there’s no need—” Noah tried to stop Leon, but he was too late.
Jackson turned to see Leon — the one he’d seen hugging his girl a moment ago, the one who’d taken his spot on the team, and the single person he’d started to hate with a passion — insult him to his face.
“Oh, really?” Jackson’s face twisted as he cocked back and threw a punch, finally unable to hold back, especially considering his flared-up nerves after what he’d just been through.
Leon didn’t entertain him.
He just blocked with his elbow, and a low crack sounded as Jackson folded in pain.
“FUUCK!!” Jackson yelled.
“HEY!” Noah quickly came between the two of them, with Stiles already standing next to Leon.
“Dad, he attacked Leon,” Stiles said.
“Quickly, shoot him!”
“You— zip it.” Noah looked at Stiles, then turned to Leon.
“You’re the new kid?
Why did you provoke him?” he asked as he called an EMT to check on Jackson.
“Just defending our town’s sheriff,” Leon said, smiling playfully.
“Yeah, he’s just doing his part,” Stiles said, patting Leon’s shoulder.
“He’s just in shock and scared,” Noah said.
“So he said those things.
You shouldn’t have done that.”
“I was here too and saw that thing.”
“I guess so.” Noah shook his head.
“Stiles, take your friend and get him home safely.”
“Yes, sir!” Stiles saluted.
“No!” Jackson yelled.
“You’re not going anywhere.” He pointed at Leon, then looked at Noah.
“Arrest him, or you’ll have to explain this to my father!” He lifted his hand.
“You assaulted him,” Noah said.
“And he defended himself.” He turned and started walking away.
“You can say what you want, but you can’t put your hands on people.
You’re lucky I’m not arresting you!”
Jackson was grinding his teeth — too many things had been happening to him lately, and he was losing it.
“Leon, this isn’t gonna end well for you.”
“Haha.” Leon laughed as he got into his car.
“You’re gonna tell daddy?” He laughed again.
“Tell him the son of the Lockhart family did it, let’s see if he can do anything.” He then got into the car with Stiles and they drove away.
Scott and Derek were on the roof, watching the situation — God knows how no one saw them.
They talked, then left.
***********
Scott and Allison were standing by her locker as she tried to hide the balloons.
Leon saw them talking, and he knew what conversation they were having.
Same plot event again.
Leon let out a short breath.
Even when Allison and Scott were just friends, the events somehow kept falling into place, and as he continued to listen to Scott invite Allison to skip class together, to Leon’s surprise, she instantly refused without even thinking about it.
“We’re friends, Scott,” Allison said.
“Sorry.”
“Oh.” Scott nodded, looking sad.
“No, you’re right.”
Allison was about to leave when she noticed Leon standing not too far off, looking at her with a knowing smile.
‘He’s getting even more handsome by the day,’ she couldn’t help but think.
Then a mischievous look appeared in her eyes as she turned back to Scott.
“Fine — let’s do it,” she said.
“Really?”
“Yeah, why not?” she said, a little loudly, as they started walking away.
“Not like I have a boyfriend who could get jealous.”
***********
People ran in panic as a large mountain lion tore through the parking lot, looking more scared than the people running from it.
Chris Argent and Noah Stilinski held their guns as they searched for the wild animal.
As Noah moved people out of the way, he stepped behind a parked car — and it suddenly started, lurching toward him.
Before it could hit him, Leon’s arm closed around his shoulders and hauled him clear, the whole thing over in less than a second.
“Jesus,” Noah said.
“Thanks, kid.” He started moving again.
Leon quickly tapped his shoulder.
“I saw the cougar head that way, should be around that area.”
“Alright.” Noah nodded.
“Go back, it’s not safe.”
He moved off quickly, and a few minutes later, a shot rang out.
[Key Plot Point Altered]
[Altered: As the cougar moves in the parking lot, Leon physically pulls Sheriff Noah Stilinski out of harm’s way from a backing car.
Leon then alerts the Sheriff to the beast’s exact position.
This tactical positioning allows Noah Stilinski to draw his service weapon and kill the animal himself, completely stealing Chris Argent’s opportunity to intervene and taking the credit for taking down the animal.]
[Impact: Sheriff Noah Stilinski survives a potential vehicular impact completely unharmed.
The Beacon Hills Police Department secures a public victory by handling the threat directly, while the Sheriff develops a sense of gratitude toward Leon for saving him and aiding the kill.]
