Leon put his phone down, having finished talking to Derek.
‘Today we’re checking the next student,’ Leon thought to himself as he made sure all of his guns and ammo were ready.
‘He is done dealing with Scott and should be on his way soon.’
Today Derek had ambushed Scott in a parking garage, testing him.
After that, Scott was ambushed by the Alpha while he was creeping on Allison — which was no surprise to Leon, knowing how smitten Scott was by her.
Unfortunately, they were only friends, so all he could do was creep.
‘Scott is acting like the bad guy in this story,’ Leon chuckled.
Derek had just finished talking to Scott in his room and was on his way over.
Half an hour later, Derek honked, and Leon came out and jumped into his car before they drove to a suburban house.
The student they were hunting this time was named Logan.
He was a lacrosse player and a decent student, with no obvious issues, but after Leon used Identify on him at school, he knew this kid was hiding something.
Leon used the Identify skill on Logan, and what he saw surprised him.
[Creature: Juvenile Ghoul]
[Abilities: Super Strength: Lv5 | Super Defense: Lv6 | Super Speed: Lv6 | Super Senses: Lv8 | Regeneration: Lv8 | Rotten Bite: Lv1 | Rotten Claws: Lv1 | Feral Frenzy: Lv1]
What scared Derek and Leon wasn’t the stats, though — it was the fact that when they got to his house, they found out the rest of the family were Ghouls too.
The family of four — parents, little brother, and Logan himself — were creatures hidden in this town, and no one knew anything about it.
Leon used Identify on Logan’s father and instantly dropped any plans of attack.
[Creature: Adult Ghoul]
[Abilities: Super Strength: Lv8 | Super Defense: Lv7 | Super Speed: Lv9 | Super Senses: Lv8 | Regeneration: Lv10 | Rotten Bite: Lv3 | Rotten Claws: Lv3 | Feral Frenzy: Lv2]
“We need to hunt them down one by one,” Derek said.
“We’ll die the second they notice us and attack us all at once.
Let’s leave.”
“Alright.”
Ding!
[QUEST: Eliminate the Ghoul Family!
(4/0)]
[Targets: Juvenile Ghouls (0/2) | Adult Ghouls (0/2)]
[Reward: 100 SE/Juvenile Ghoul | 200 SE/Adult Ghoul]
Leon saw the quest and was instantly motivated.
“Alright, let’s do this right,” he said, but his eyes couldn’t leave the house.
‘I wish I could just run in there and just kill all of them!’
Leon and Derek came prepared.
Since Ghouls were weak to fire and holy water, the duo packed several bags of firebombs and incendiary ammunition, and another bag of holy water bottles.
“What a wasted trip,” Leon muttered.
“Not really,” Derek said.
“We now know they’re a family, and we can plan properly before we exterminate them.” He continued.
“But I don’t understand why we don’t just give the info to the hunters and let them take the risk instead.”
“Because I need to practice,” Leon answered.
“And the more of these creatures I kill, the stronger I feel.”
***********
The next day, Leon watched Scott avoid Allison and the others, then saw Jackson talking to her in the hall.
Later, the coach berated Scott in class for not doing the reading, before Stiles quickly did something to distract the coach, getting berated instead.
Lucky for Scott, since Allison wasn’t around this time to calm him down — if that ridiculous situation had continued a second longer, Scott would have thrown the coach out of a window. This chapter was copied from novelping . com without permission.
Then the day ended with the two of them getting detention while Leon left, following Logan.
He watched as Logan went into the preserve, chasing a note he’d received about a secret party.
For a confident Ghoul like him, there was no worry of danger — in his head, he was the only danger in these woods.
Derek wasn’t present today, the stress over the Alpha and the hunters’ harassment was getting to him, so Leon didn’t bother the guy and decided to act on his own.
“Hello?” Logan yelled into the woods, finally reaching the clearing he’d been told about in the message, but he found no one.
“Where the hell is everyone?”
BAM!
A bullet blurred in from the side, piercing through Logan’s chest and bursting into a small flame as smoke and a hissing echoed.
“FUCK.” Logan moved instantly, his skin rotting at a visible speed as bubbles appeared and popped, his eyes turning dark grey, his back and legs bending like a dog’s while his teeth turned into razor-sharp nightmare fuel.
“COME OUT!” A choked sound left Logan’s mouth as he yelled, when suddenly the ground let out a popping sound before a giant explosion shook the woods.
The trees rattled and birds scattered as fire lit the sky and the area around it.
Not long after the smoke settled, a burnt corpse lay on the ground, barely moving.
Leon used his Super Speed to close the distance and shot the kid multiple times before he could even say anything, ending it.

Leon then quickly grabbed the corpse, his fingers breaking through the creature’s skin with a crunch as charred skin flaked away.

As Leon was leaving, he added points into his Homelander Template, pushing it up to twenty, but suddenly, as if he’d crossed a threshold, he felt the world gain color — becoming clearer, the air fresher — an addicting wave passing through his body.
Then a wave of notifications appeared.

Leon was running from the area when the notifications appeared, making him stop and freeze in shock as he read through them one by one.
With the text came a sudden, massive influx of information directly into his head.
Taking a few minutes to process the cold logic of the multiversal hierarchy, he realized the truth: the Apex Prime Universes — the ultimate realities governed by True Gods — overlooked the Middle and Lower tiers.
The Middle Universes were dangerous realms ruled by Fake Gods, Entities, and Divine Spirits, while the Lower Universes were baseline, semi-mundane or fully mundane worlds.
Due to this dimensional gap, lower and middle-world histories projected into Prime realities as fictional media — novels, movies, shows, mangas, and manhuas.
Because these lower realms existed as infinite variants, countless parallel timelines and crossovers could form.
Leon, a transmigrant from a Prime Universe (Our Earth), was now stranded in an unscripted, dangerous Middle Tier Variant — a brutal fusion of Teen Wolf, The Vampire Diaries, and god knows what else — where local creatures possessed raw levels far beyond his own.
This sudden wave of information had Leon freeze on the floor, sitting there unmoving.
“So I’m originally from a Prime Universe?” Leon thought.
“Then why was it so mundane?
Unlike this world, why was my original world so empty and dull?”
As Leon asked this question, a reply appeared.
[Your Prime Universe was not mundane, only you were]
This answer shocked him to the core, because it made sense.
Leon used this world as an example — if not for his previous knowledge, he would have lived in ignorance of the secrets of this world, maybe never encountering anything supernatural for the rest of his life, which made him wonder.
‘What powers did my world have?’
“What happens now?” Leon asked the system again.
He’d noticed a huge change had occurred, as if he’d been using an old phone before, and now the system had updated, becoming a lot more interactive.
[Failure to enter the Divine Leaderboard within a month will cause the host to lose all Divine Candidate privileges, that includes the chosen Template and all Skills]
[Time Remaining: 29 Days, 23 Hours, 59 Minutes]
Leon’s heart skipped a beat as the countdown timer began ticking down.
The system wasn’t just a helper — it was a deadline that could strip away everything keeping him alive in this world.
Footsteps crunched on the dirt before Leon could even stand.
“Hey!
Are you okay?
Can you hear me?”
A passing civilian ran over, breathless and frantic.
Seeing Leon on the ground in a state of sheer shock, the stranger assumed he was an innocent victim caught in the nearby explosion.
They gripped Leon’s arm, pulling him to his feet while he was still processing the system’s threat.
Moments later, the forest edge flooded with flashing red and blue lights.
Sirens wailed as police cruisers and ambulances blocked the road.
An EMT rushed over, guiding Leon to the back of an ambulance to check his vitals.
When the police sheriff, Noah, approached with a notepad and saw Leon, he quickly asked if he was okay, and what he was doing near a crime scene.
Leon played the part perfectly.
“I was just passing by,” he muttered, keeping his voice shaky.
“The blast threw me off my feet.”
