Leon wore his lacrosse outfit in the locker room, focused on the status screen in front of him.

Since yesterday, Leon had been trying to put some things together.

What was his goal in this world?

Is it survival only?

What would he even do if he got power?

These questions have been dancing in his brain all night.

At the start, all he wanted was power to survive this place, so he risked getting bit, but as he now knew the pathway ahead, with the template, and what he needed to do to grow stronger, especially with the preview powers he had, he started to wonder if they were enough.

‘The speed and power of some creatures in this world might be as strong as Homelander…

I hope not’ Leon thought.

He imagined the Alpha, its speed and size and thought about the other creatures that existed in this world, and he couldn’t help but wonder.

‘Are my current powers enough?’ Leon remembered he was using a preview before the full integration, but it was still frustrating.

‘I need to get to full integration as fast as possible!!’

Homelander was practically a god in his world.

He had it all, but the creatures in this world seemed to be too dangerous for Leon’s current limit.

What he encountered so far were vampires and werewolves, but he also remembered that Witches and Warlocks existed in this world too, with the countless creatures from both the TVD and Teen Wolf worlds, and God knows what else.

These creatures had their very own set of abilities — like mental control, reality-warping magic, or soul extraction — and these abilities were things he wasn’t even sure he could fight against, even with Homelander’s powers.

On top of it all, whatever danger they posed in the shows, it should be around five times that here, considering how the creatures in this place were powered up.

Leon spent the whole night remembering every creature that might have abilities that could easily end him.

‘The Homelander template makes me a God on paper, but I’m only at 9% integration.

I can’t wait for 100% sync, I’d be a god.

But the creatures here are roided-out compared to the shows — and if I don’t treat every single one of them as a lethal threat, I’m going to end up dead in a ditch.’

‘Right now, I’m close to a Beta’s level.

Once I get an ability that lets me read other people’s stats, I’ll know exactly where I stand.

For now, I treat every encounter like the vampire fight — improvise, adapt, or die.’

He grabbed a piece of paper from his pocket and looked it over.

What Can Actually Kill Me Here?

***********

The Instant-Loss Tier (Do Not Engage):

– Reality warpers (Ghost Riders, Anuk-Ite)

– High-tier witches (soul extraction, desiccation, brain aneurysms)

– These bypass my body entirely.

Useless to fight until I have answers.

The Dangerous Tier (High Priority):

– Silas (absolute telepathy, perfect illusions)

– Sirens (mind control via voice)

– Both can rewrite what I see and hear.

My super-hearing makes the Sirens worse.

The Overpowered Overlord Tier (Avoid for Now):

– The Originals — physically immortal juggernauts.

Compulsion won’t work on me, but raw strength will.

– Alphas, Hybrids, Chimeras — right on the heels of the Originals in raw power.

Peter Hale alone is a ten-foot mountain of muscle.

– Banshees (Lydia) — at this range, her scream would liquefy my eardrums and shatter my balance.

Easy window for anything else to finish me off.

The Lethal Fodder Tier (Never Underestimate):

– Regular vampires, beta/omega werewolves.

– The starved tomb vampire I fought was already faster and stronger than me in a straight fight.

If the bottom of the food chain is this dangerous, I can’t let my guard down for a second.

***********

‘I need to get stronger, quick.’ Leon took a deep breath, then focused on the shop function.

When Leon checked the shop last night, he was surprised by what he saw.

After going through the shop and the items, he instantly made up his mind and purchased a few things.

[Siphon Needle & Vial Set] – 2 SE

[Ash-Seasoned Oak Stake] – 1 SE

[Engraved Vervain Signet Ring] – 3 SE x 2

He watched his Supernatural Energy drop, but he had no regrets.

[Current SE: 10 -> 1]

Leon’s thought process was simple: the Siphon Needle & Vial Set would be useful to siphon the rest of the blood from the vampire corpse he still had in his inventory, since vampire blood is basically a panacea to normal people.

The Ash-Seasoned Oak Stake would be useful and much easier to have and use against vampires, since the vampire he fought before was a newly awakened one from the tomb and was weakened, which was the only reason why he even managed to trick it and win.

So with a proper stake, Leon would have a much easier time taking down vampires in the future.

As for the Engraved Vervain Signet Rings, their uses are obvious.

Even if he was able to resist compulsion slightly, he wasn’t sure that would be consistent all the time, and it didn’t mean others would be able to as well, so he bought two of them, planning on giving them to his parents for emergencies since they moved around a lot, and later when he had enough he would buy one for himself.

After buying all he needed, he saw the items did not vanish from the shop, unlike the Gun and Spatial Pocket he bought before.

‘Good.’

***********

“Yes!

Her father!”

As Leon sat there, lost in thought, he heard Scott yell a few lockers ahead, so he got up and moved towards the sound to check.

“Oh, my God—”

“No, Scott.

Snap back!”

As Leon got closer, he heard them, both Scott and Stiles talking.

‘Oh, it’s this scene.’ Leon recognized the beat.

He’d watched it in the show.

‘She’s my girl now!’

“Hey guys, is everything okay?”

Scott and Stiles both turned towards Leon, with Scott still panicking slightly.

“Did you know?” Scott asked, his jaw tight.

“Know what?”

“Did you know about her father?

You seem to know a lot more than you’re telling us.” Scott walked towards Leon, looking him in the eyes.

“You were bitten like me but have none of the symptoms, and you seem to know it, acting all cool and unbothered.”

Scott and Stiles stared at him for a second, then Stiles spoke.

“We think you know a lot more than us about this stuff.

You had no reaction to the full moon, and you did not panic or even worry when Scott told us about the hunters.” Stiles walked and stood beside Scott.

“So did you know that Allison’s dad is a hunter?

Is that why you went after her?

What else are you hiding from us?

We thought you were on our side, man.”

“Calm down.” Leon quickly tried to control the situation.

“I’ll answer your questions one at a time.”

“Calm down?” Scott spoke, his eyes having a hint of sadness and suspicion.

“I trusted you man.

I told you everything that happened to me and everything we discovered, but you kept quiet and watched us panic.”

“Alright, one question at a time.” Leon took a deep breath.

He didn’t think things would spiral this far.

They’d started to suspect and even doubt him, which made him think that maybe he should have said something before.

“Yes, I know more about this stuff, but nothing that would affect you directly, so I wanted to fill you in later after some things settle down.

I had no reaction to the full moon, didn’t panic or worry about the hunters because I knew I was different.

Although I was bitten just like Scott, I already noticed the differences between you and me.

I felt no emotional changes, different reactions and so on, which was why I was confident I would have no reaction to the full moon, didn’t panic, and did not react when I heard about the hunters, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t nervous or scared too.”

Leon watched them process what he said and continued.

“And no, I didn’t know about Allison’s dad.”

Scott and Stiles looked at him for a few seconds before Scott shook his head and spoke.

“We were in this together, and you started hiding things after you found out we were not the same?

Screw you.”

Scott’s eyes flashed bright gold.

He growled at Leon and walked away.

Stiles sighed, shrugged, and followed Scott out.

“Damn it,” Leon muttered.

“I acted like I was some kind of game master, but I need to remind myself that this world and the people in it are real.” He shook his head, took a deep breath, and walked away.

“I need to fix my mindset.”

***********

“McCall, what are you waiting for?

Let’s go!”

Coach pointed a sharp finger at Jackson, who waited with his long stick.

Scott clenched his jaw and charged.

The collision was brief.

Jackson easily absorbed the hit and slammed Scott flat onto his back.

Scott hit the grass, grimacing in pain and embarrassment.

“Hey, McCall!” Coach barked.

Over at the line, Stiles winced sympathetically at Scott’s bad play, watching Coach walk over to where Scott still lay on the ground.

“Hey, McCall!”

Scott lifted his head to see Jackson smirking above him, looking very satisfied.

“You sure you still want to be first line, McCall?”

Jackson walked away as Scott quickly jumped to his feet, fixing his gloves and pads.

Coach swarmed him immediately.

“My — my grandmother can move faster than that — and she’s dead!

You think you can move faster than the lifeless corpse of my dead grandmother?”

Scott’s anger and frustration had him doubled over, which began to worry Stiles, who watched from mid-field.

Scott clenched his jaw.

“Yes, Coach.”

“I can’t hear you!” Coach bellowed.

Scott’s irises flashed gold as he gritted his teeth, looking at the ground.

“Yes.

Coach.”

“Then do it again!”

Scott clenched his jaw, sighed, and ran back to position.

Coach shouted mockingly toward the rest of the players, “McCall’s gonna do it again!

McCall’s gonna do it again!”

Jackson got back to his position in mid-field as Scott returned to the front of the line-up.

His eyes were no longer glowing gold, but he still looked angry yet determined.

Coach blew his whistle.

“Let’s go!”

Scott ran full-speed at Jackson, gripping his lacrosse stick hard.

He collided with Jackson, his right shoulder hitting Jackson right in the collarbone.

Jackson fell backwards, landing flat on his back in the grass, and clutched his right shoulder in pain.

While everyone else was distracted by Jackson, Stiles and Leon both ran over to check on Scott.

Scott’s fangs had come out, and his eyes were glowing bright gold again as he desperately tried to keep himself from fully turning.

Stiles and Leon both reached down to help him up.

Leon went to grab his arm, but Scott violently shoved him away, glaring at him with pure anger.

“Don’t touch me, Leon!”

Leon stepped back, shocked, as Scott turned his back on him entirely.

Stiles quickly stepped in, throwing his right arm around Scott’s shoulders and using his left hand to clutch Scott’s left arm.

Meanwhile, Coach knelt next to Jackson, holding out his hands to the other players.

“Yeah, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!”

Off to the side, Scott panted heavily, whispering to Stiles in a panicked tone, “I can’t control it, Stiles!

It’s happening!”

Stiles’s eyes widened in alarm.

“What?

Right here?

Now?” He looked around, saw that everyone else was distracted by Jackson’s injuries, and grabbed Scott by the shoulders.

“Come on, get up.”

Stiles pulled Scott to his feet and dragged him back to the locker room, leaving Leon standing behind on the field.

“Come on.

Come on.”

Scott and Stiles passed the bleachers, too preoccupied to notice Derek standing behind the stands and off to the side, watching them with a focused expression, his eyes moving from Scott to Leon occasionally.

***********

Scott and Stiles slammed through the locker room doors, stumbling inside.

Stiles gave Scott a final push toward the center of the room.

“Come on, here we go.”

Scott crashed to his knees right next to one of the sinks, his chest heaving violently.

Stiles dropped down right in front of him, crouching low to look him dead in the eyes.

“Sit down.

You okay?

Scott, you okay?”

The pressure inside Scott completely snapped.

Overwhelmed by the rage and the transformation, he threw his head back and screamed at the top of his lungs in a desperate, animalistic panic.

His eyes flared bright gold.

“GET AWAY FROM ME!” Scott roared.

The sheer acoustic shock of the roar hit Stiles like a physical blow, knocking him straight back onto his heels.

Terrified, Stiles scrambled backward on his hands and knees as Scott got to his feet, stalking him like a predator.

“Stiles, move.” Leon crossed the room in a blur, hooked an arm under Stiles and hauled him bodily out of the way, shoving him toward the lockers hard enough that he’d stay down.

Then he turned to face Scott.

Scott didn’t give him time to set his feet.

He came in low and fast, faster than Leon had braced for, and the impact took Leon clean off the ground.

He hit the bank of lockers hard enough to fold the metal inward, the sound of it like a car crash compressed into one violent second.

For a moment the whole room rang.

‘Damn.’ Leon peeled himself out of the dent, rolling his shoulder.

It ached, deep, but nothing had torn, nothing had broken.

‘At least Super Defense is holding.’

That was the only good news.

Scott had been on him before he’d even registered the first hit landing — Lv3 Super Speed should have counted for something, and it wasn’t enough.

Scott came again, claws first.

Leon didn’t try to meet him head-on this time.

He sidestepped at the last possible second, let Scott’s shoulder clip empty air where his chest had been, and drove a fist into his ribs on the way past — not enough to do real damage, just enough to buy a half-second of distance as Scott skid across the ground from the impact.

It wasn’t enough distance.

Scott spun and came right back, faster than that half-second should have allowed, and Leon barely got an arm up before claws raked through his sleeve and opened four thin lines across his forearm.

The pain was sharp and immediate and gone almost as fast, the edges of the cuts already started knitting shut slowly.

‘He’s still faster than me.

I need the room to work for me, not against me.’

Leon backed toward the second row of lockers, drawing Scott after him, watching the angle of his charge instead of his claws.

The second Scott left the ground — going for a tackle with a swipe — Leon planted his foot against the base of the locker bank and drove a kick into it with everything he had.

The whole row buckled and came down at once, a wall of metal collapsing under Scott mid-air with nothing beneath it to land on.

He hit the floor twisted, one arm pinned under the wreckage for half a second, footing gone entirely.

Leon didn’t wait for him to find it again.

He was on him before Scott’s claws had finished scraping the metal, one hand locking around his throat, the other driving down in short, brutal strikes — relentless, without mercy, aimed to put him to sleep.

BAM.

BAM.

The sound filled the room, metal and knuckle and bone, until Stiles’s voice finally cut through it.

“Stop — stop!” Stiles had gotten to his feet at some point, hands out like he could physically pull the fight apart from six feet away, his face somewhere between horrified and starstruck.

“Leon, stop, I think he’s out, he’s out—”

Leon felt the last of the resistance go out of Scott’s body under his hands and stopped, chest heaving, knuckles split and already healing.

Scott lay still against the wrecked lockers, breathing, human-featured again, the fight gone out of him along with the gold in his eyes.

“He’s unconscious,” Leon said flatly, standing, wiping blood — his or Scott’s, he wasn’t sure — off his hand onto his jeans.
