The trio waited for Derek to leave, and under the cover of darkness, they went and dug up the grave.
Inside was a large werewolf torso and head.
It looked like the giant wolf they had seen that day in the forest, but slightly smaller.
Seeing it cut completely in half was terrifying.
Like what happened in the show, Leon stood and watched as Stiles pushed himself up to his feet and ran over to the wolfsbane flower.
He pulled the entire plant up by the roots, gaping in surprise as he realized that the base of the plant had more twine rope tied around it, which was also buried underground.
He gently pulled up the rope, which had randomly placed wolfsbane petals attached at various points along its length, only to find it was connected to the bundle of burlap wrapped around the wolf’s head.
The long length of twine was buried around the grave in a spiral pattern, which glowed a faint red as Stiles unraveled it.
Leon kept thinking of ways to change this plot event, but nothing came to mind.
Would I ruin their plan?
he thought.
Then they’ll lose trust in me again!
Should I secretly put the wolfsbane spiral ritual back?
But if I do, the cops will panic, and that might lead to the feds or God knows what sniffing around the place.
“Whatever,” Leon sighed.
He turned to the duo as they stared down at the girl in the hole.
“I think that’s his sister.”
“What?
Whose?” Scott asked.
“Derek’s sister, that’s her,” Leon explained.
“I looked him up and I saw a picture of them after the fire.
That girl is his sister.”
“You sure?” Stiles stood up, brushing dirt off his hands.
“Why would he kill his sister?”
“I don’t think he did,” Leon explained.
“Although this is just a small theory, what if he came back to town because of his sister’s death?
What if he’s looking for the killer too?” He paused, looking down at the trench.
“Derek found the other half and buried it, and here we are, desecrating her remains.”
Scott and Stiles stood there, letting the words sink in.
“If that’s his sister, then…” Scott thought for a second.
“Maybe we’ve misunderstood the guy.”
Even when they had attacked Derek in the street, he had still shown mercy and hadn’t killed them.
“To be honest, I had some doubts,” Leon continued.
“Derek’s eyes in his werewolf form are blue, but the Alpha’s eyes are red.
That means he had nothing to do with turning us.”
“Wait, that makes sense,” Stiles said, the pieces clicking together in his mind.
“He didn’t turn you, he didn’t attack you, he saved Scott from the hunters, and he tried to warn you about exposing yourself.” He slapped his forehead in exasperation.
“Maybe it’s about time we had a proper conversation with the guy,” Leon said.
“Let’s put the grave back together first.”
Although they hesitated for a bit, they still did it.
They put everything back exactly the way it was, and then sat in Stiles’ jeep, waiting.
***********
“What are you doing here?” Derek growled.
He had just parked his car and watched the same duo he had fought that night approach him.
“If you want to fight again, I’m all in!” His eyes shone a brilliant blue as his face started to transform.
“Tempting, but no,” Leon smiled.
“It seems we might have been having a lot of misunderstandings.
You didn’t turn us since your eyes are blue, not red.
And you kept trying to warn us — in a creepy and weird way, sure, but you did.” Leon sighed.
“So instead of acting like a mysterious weirdo, why not just talk to us?”
Derek listened, and his transformation slowly began to reverse.
His eyes focused intently on the two of them for a full minute before he spoke.
“Why?”
“It’s your sister that died, isn’t it?” Scott asked quietly.
Derek frowned, his gaze shifting toward the grave.
Noticing the freshly disturbed dirt, he scowled and transformed again, his claws baring.
“What did you do?”
“Nothing on purpose,” Leon said smoothly.
“So, are we going to talk or not?”
***********
Leon, Scott, and Stiles sat inside the ruined house, listening to Derek as he explained everything he knew.
He told them about coming home because his sister went missing, finding her dead, and shared his doubts and knowledge about the supernatural and werewolves.
He went on to explain the spiral outside, calling it ‘The Symbol of Revenge’.
[Key Plot Point Altered]
[Altered: The host managed to convince the duo to listen to Derek, talk it out, and hear his story and explanation.]
[Impact: The group spoke, which led to fixing many misunderstandings early and to Scott learning more about what he is and how to control himself.]

Seeing the notification pop up, Leon nearly celebrated right there in front of them.
He had gambled and won.
Without wasting a second, he immediately did what he had planned to do.
[Spatial Sense – 25 SE]
[Absolute Compulsion – 100 SE]
Leon instantly bought the two abilities from the shop, knowing full well that Spatial Sense would help him track down hidden vampires easily, and Absolute Compulsion would be irreplaceable for emergencies, and maybe dealing with enemies in a smarter way.

Feeling the sudden surge of raw knowledge flooding into his head, Leon smiled with pure satisfaction.
“You’re smiling like a crazy person,” Stiles pointed out suddenly, giving him a weird look.
“Are you going to kill us?”
“Shut up,” Leon replied.
“I just awakened a new ability.”
“What?
What is it?
Can you fly?” Stiles asked quickly, leaning forward.
“No,” Leon shrugged.
“The ability is kind of like a supernatural radar.
Now I think I can sense any supernatural creature around me, including vampires, of course.” He hid Absolute Compulsion from the trio, after all, knowing he had something like that might make them even more fearful and suspicious of him, and might start doubting anything he does later, so he hid it.
After all, he wasn’t here to make friends.
“Really?
That is so useful,” Stiles said.
Derek, Scott, and Stiles all turned to look at him with deeply surprised and bizarre expressions.
“Derek,” Scott spoke up, breaking the silence.
“Do you know what Leon is?”
“Uhh—I’m not sure,” Derek said, thinking for a long moment.
“From what you told me, he has magic abilities like a Warlock, but he’s also physically strong.
He can shoot lasers from his eyes, and now he can sense supernatural creatures.” He went quiet for a second, then shook his head.
“No idea.
I’ve never heard of or encountered someone like him before.”
***********
Stiles and Leon stood in the locker room, getting ready for the game.
Unfortunately, Scott wasn’t with them.
He was training with Derek, learning how to control himself and finding his anchor.
“Do you think Scott is doing okay?” Stiles asked.
“He’s probably getting his ass kicked by Derek as we speak,” Leon said, remembering the brutal training methods Derek had explained to them yesterday, and laughed.
“I wish I was there to watch,” Stiles laughed too.
The duo then walked out of the locker room, hearing the loud cheering of the crowd as they moved toward their side of the field.
“Leon!” Lydia approached Leon, grabbed his collar, and pulled him close.
Her eyes showed clear playfulness as she spoke.
“You need to win tonight.”
“Why should I?” Leon was genuinely considering throwing the game to see if he could farm some SE, so he looked her in the eyes and said, “I don’t feel like winning today.”
“You should, because nobody likes a loser.” She patted his uniform as if brushing off invisible dust.
“You would,” Leon smiled, stepping even closer to her.
“N—No, I won’t,” she said quickly.
“So win, or you’ll be the school’s laughing stock.”
“You’re really going above and beyond for your boyfriend, aren’t you?” Leon admitted, feeling a bit annoyed.
“No, I’m not talking to him right now,” she said.
“Just win.”
***********
The game had been underway for some time now, and Leon had barely even touched the ball.
He was even actively pushed away by Jackson during plays.
“It’s the exact same shit,” Leon laughed quietly to himself, listening in as the rest of the team huddled together on the field.
“Who’s the captain?
You, or me?” Jackson snapped at a teammate.
“Jackson, come on, dude.
I just wanna win.”
“We will win.”
“But—”
“What did I say?” Jackson growled angrily.
“Huh?
What.
Did.
I.
Say?”
“Don’t pass to Leon!”
Leon shook his head, his grin turning mischievous as he looked over at Jackson.
Jackson glared right back at him, looking furious and about to lose it.
‘Guess things with Lydia aren’t going well and it took away whatever brain cells he had left,’ Leon muttered under his breath.
‘Though he did this exact same thing with Scott in the show even when he was doing great with Lydia — so the guy might have never had any brain cells in the first place.’
The referee blew the whistle, and the players scattered to their positions on the field.
Up in the stands, the scoreboard flashed a dismal 3-5, with the opposing team leading by two points.
There was only one minute and twenty-nine seconds left in the fourth quarter.
Jackson thumped Danny hard in the chest with his gloved hand, entirely ignoring Leon, who was crouching casually at the standoff line.
“Down!
Set!” the referee called.
The whistle blew, and two opposing players slammed their sticks together in a stalemate.
The intense pressure sent the lacrosse ball flying haphazardly into the air.
Leon timed it perfectly.
Moving with the fluid grace of an elite athlete, he leaped high into the air, snatching the ball cleanly out of midair just over the heads of the defensive line.
He landed lightly on his feet and immediately pushed into a hard sprint down the center lane.
“Go, Leon!” Lydia screamed from the stands, standing up and jumping.
Nearby, Allison’s eyes widened in sheer awe as she watched him move.
Three opposing defensemen rushed Leon, aiming to crush him into the turf.
With his heightened awareness, Leon predicted their angles easily.
He ducked, pivoted cleanly on his heel, and executed a flawless, blindingly quick spin move right between the first two defenders.
He didn’t use supernatural force.
He just out-maneuvered them with pure textbook agility.
Arriving at the arc, Leon whipped his stick forward with perfect form.
The ball erupted from his net, whistling through the air and slamming into the back of the goal before the goalie could even set his feet.
The crowd went wild.
“Yes!
That’s what I’m talking about!” Stiles leaped off the bench, wildly pumping his arms and looking around at his teammates for high-fives.
On the field, Jackson clenched his jaw tightly, his face turning a dangerous shade of red.
He was absolutely furious that Leon was stealing his spotlight.
Coach Finstock ran to the sideline, completely ecstatic, cupping his hands around his mouth.
“Leon!
Pass to Leon!
Get him the ball!”
The referee reset the standoff at the center line.
When the whistle blew, the opposing team’s star player scooped the ball and sprinted hard toward the Beacon Hills goal.
Leon ghosted across the field, cutting off the player’s path in a fraction of a second.
He aggressively checked the runner, stick-on-stick, with textbook precision.
The brutal efficiency of the hit forced the player to fumble, and the ball popped loose onto the turf.
Leon scooped it up instantly.
Leon sprinted back down the field, zig-zagging effortlessly through the transition defense.
With thirty-nine seconds remaining on the clock, he loaded up and took his shot, putting the full weight of his core into the throw.
The ball flew with immense velocity, zipping past the goalie’s shoulder and embedding itself firmly into the back of the net.
The scoreboard flashed: 5-5.
The stands erupted into absolute chaos.
Even Chris Argent, sitting next to Allison, couldn’t help but look impressed, his eyes narrowing slightly as he analyzed the teenager’s remarkable stamina and flawless athletic execution.
With seventeen seconds left, the final standoff commenced.
The opposing team won the draw, but under the suffocating pressure of Beacon Hills’ defensive positioning, the ball handler made a poor pass that skipped along the grass.
Leon anticipated the error, charging forward to intercept the ball effortlessly.
The clock ticked down: 5…
4…
3…
Two defenders crashed into Leon from both sides, intending to take him down by any means necessary.
Leon absorbed the impact with a firm, balanced stance, twisting fluidly at the waist to launch a final, monstrous shot.
The opposing goalie tried to track it, but the ball rocketed past his stick into the upper corner of the goal.
BUZZZZZZ.
The buzzer sounded just as the ball hit the net, sealing the final score at 6-5.
The Beacon Hills Cyclones had won the game.
Stiles threw his hands in the air, screaming in pure relief.
“Yes!
Ha!
Oh, my God!”
Unlike a werewolf struggling with claws or glowing eyes, Leon didn’t need to run away to hide anything.
He stood calmly in the center of the field, completely composed, casually resting his lacrosse stick over his shoulder as the ecstatic crowd began storming the field to celebrate their new star player.
[Key Plot Point Altered]
[Altered: With Scott sitting out the match to train with Derek under a fabricated excuse, Leon takes his place on the field.
Leon maintains flawless human composure, using peak athletic physique to single-handedly win the game without relying on supernatural powers.
No locker room crisis occurs, completely bypassing the near-fatal confrontation with Allison.]
[Impact: The team secures a spectacular victory, solidifying Leon’s status as the school’s new star athlete and fracturing Jackson’s ego completely.
Scott completely avoids the risk of exposing himself to the town, while the Argent family remains intrigued by Leon’s flawless physical execution.]

The new ability was useless in an actual fight, but Leon — like any normal teenager — had already found other ways to appreciate it.
***********
The party hadn’t slowed down.
If anything, it had gotten louder.
Students packed the house wall to wall, still riding the high of the win, replaying the final play for anyone who’d stand still long enough to listen, and orbiting the guy who’d suddenly become the center of it all.
Leon spotted two familiar faces working their way through the crowd.
Allison and Lydia.
They stopped in front of him, both wearing the same look he’d been getting all night — not quite a smile, not quite a question.
Curiosity. This chapter is updated first at novelping.com.
“Why do you look so different all of a sudden?” Lydia asked, twirling a strand of strawberry-blonde hair around her finger like it was the most casual question in the world.
“Different how?”
“Don’t play dumb.” Allison’s mouth curved into a small smile.
“People started staring the second you took your helmet off.”
Leon glanced around.
A few heads turned away too quickly, like they’d been caught.
“Guess people are finally developing taste.”
Allison laughed.
Lydia rolled her eyes.
“That was somehow more arrogant than I expected.”
The three of them laughed, easy and short-lived.
Then Allison’s expression shifted.
The humor drained out of it.
“Actually — I wanted to ask you something.”
Leon caught the change immediately.
“Go for it.”
She glanced at Lydia, just briefly, before her eyes settled back on him.
“Why do you flirt with everyone?”
Leon blinked.
“Everyone is a bit much.”
“Then with who?
Other than Lydia, that is.” Allison shook her head.
Lydia didn’t say anything.
But Leon noticed the quick, involuntary glance she gave him before she looked away, like she was trying not to react.
“You’ve been doing it for a while,” Allison went on.
“I get it — you’re charming and confident.
But you’re also completely aware of what you’re doing.
You flirt with me, then with Lydia the next instant, and then God knows who else.”
“Mm.” Leon didn’t know how to respond to that.
He’d been flirting with any pretty girl who gave him the chance, whether consciously or subconsciously, and it probably looked bad.
Allison Argent, all wide-eyed heroine energy and dramatic reveals.
The thought flashed through his head before he could stop it.
He remembered her arc in the show — the moment she found out about the supernatural, she went full telenovela.
He wasn’t in a rush.
The plot would handle itself.
Seeing him not answering, Allison crossed her arms.
“Are you actually interested in me?
Or am I just going to be another one of your hookups?”
Simple question.
Straightforward, even.
And for once, Leon didn’t have an answer ready.
Leon got close to her for the SE points — but it didn’t hurt that she was easy on the eyes, and that she was already in his orbit.
Convenience, looks, and points.
Not exactly a bad thing.
Leon remembered how annoying and dramatic both Scott and Allison were in the show, to the point of severe stupidity.
Scott was easier to deal with now.
Less of the constant werewolf-whining from the show, less of the Allison-obsessed head-empty mode.
At least he could hold a conversation.
In the show, Scott had whined about being a werewolf nonstop, which had never made sense to Leon.
Without it, he’d have been nobody.
But the show-version of him never got that.
Seeing Allison still waiting for a response, he sighed.
Leon wasn’t chasing anything normal.
Not anymore.
“I don’t know.”
Allison’s eyebrows lifted, caught off guard.
Leon shrugged.
“Not the answer you were hoping for.”
“No.
It’s not.”
“But it’s better than feeding you a fake answer just to give you what you want to hear.”
Lydia stayed quiet on the sidelines, arms loosely folded, expression carefully composed.
Leon still caught the flicker underneath it — something that looked a lot like disappointment before she smoothed it away.
“I don’t know what I want yet,” Leon said.
She studied him for a long beat.
Her expression hardened — not amused anymore.
“So that’s the excuse?
You flirt with whoever you want, whenever you want, and we’re all just supposed to find it charming?”
“That’s not what I—”
“You flirt with me.
You flirt with Lydia.
Probably half the girls in this house tonight.” Her voice sharpened, losing all its earlier warmth.
“And it’s all just Leon being Leon, right?
Fine.
If that’s the rule, then I get to play too.
Don’t get weird about it when I do.”
Leon opened his mouth.
“That’s a big thing to just say so casually.”
“I’m serious.” She held his stare, daring him to argue back.
“You don’t get to do that and expect others to just wait around for you.”
She turned and walked off before he could get a word in, leaving him standing there with the distinct, unfamiliar feeling of having lost an argument he didn’t know he was having.
He didn’t get long to process it.
“Wait, seriously?” Leon muttered.
“What did you expect?” Lydia, still standing there, finally spoke.
“You made her fall for you, and now she finds out you were flirting with me and who knows who else.”
“Don’t act like you weren’t into it.” Leon leaned closer to her.
“But here’s something you should both know.” He leaned forward.
“I don’t like it when she lets someone else touch her.
The second I see her doing anything like that, I won’t look at her twice.”
“Who do you think you are?” Lydia glared at him.
“Do you thi—”
“That goes for you too.” Leon cut her off and walked away, leaving the party.
He got into his car.
Suddenly, a notification appeared.
