[McCall Resident]

In his room, Scott is shirtless and is fixing his LaCrosse Stick after testing its durability with a few hits to the net.

He proceeds to do pull-ups with the pull-up bar attached to the door in his bathroom.Full novel: Teen Wolf : The Progenitor — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

After finishing his set, he goes to get ready for sleep when suddenly he hears a huge bang from outside the House.

Scott puts on a Hoodie and goes out the back door to where the noise is coming from.

Baseball bat in hand, he readies himself for whatever danger is lurking.

#Tree Rustling#

“AAAAAHHHHHHH”

“AAAAAAAHHHHHH”

Stiles suddenly appears upside down, hanging from the tree, and Scott raises his bat in fear.

“STILES, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?” Scott yells at his best friend.

“You weren’t answering your phone.

Why do you have a bat?” Stiles is confused as to why Scott has a bat when he sucks at baseball.

” I thought you were a Predator”

“A preda..

what.., uhh, look, I know it’s late, but you gotta hear this.

I saw my dad leave 20 minutes ago.

Dispatch called their bringing in every officer from the Beacon Department and even state Police.” Stiles explains while still hanging upside down.

“For what?” Scott asks.

“Two joggers found a body in the woods,” Stiles answers, then gets down from the tree and lands in the backyard.

” A dead body?” Scott asks.

“No, a body of water, yes Dumbass a dead body,” Stiles sarcastically answers, then climbs over the porch and stands next to Scott.

“You mean like murdered?” Scott asked.

“Nobody knows yet, just that it was a girl, probably in her 20s,” Stiles explains.

“Hold on, if they found the body, then what are they looking for?” Stiles, with excitement from Scott’s question, answers.

“That’s the best part.” With a dramatic pause.

“They only found…half.

“Stiles, with a scheming smile, says.

“We’re going.”

[Beacon Hills Preserve]

The two pull up in Stiles’ Jeep at the entrance of the forest, where a sign is written, “Beacon Hills Preserve, No Entry After Dark.” They exit the car.

“Are we seriously doing this?” Scott asks as they walk into the forest.

“You’re the one Bitching that nothing ever happens in this town.” Stiles pats him on the shoulder and walks past him.

“I was trying to get a good night’s sleep before practice tomorrow.” He follows Stiles into the forest.

“Right cause sitting on the Bench is such a grueling effort.” Stiles quips.

Scott sighs and replies, “No, because….I’m playing this year; in fact, I’m making first line.”

“Hey, that’s the spirit; everyone should have a dream, even a pathetically unrealistic one.” Stiles sarcastically roots for his best friend and his 1 in a million dream.

“Hah,” Scott laughs at Stiles’ failed attempt to boost Morale.

“Just out of curiosity, which half of the body are we looking for?” He asks Stiles as they make their way deeper into the Forest.

“Huh…

I didn’t even think about that.” Stiles replies.

” And uhh, what if whoever killed the body is still out here?” Scott adds.

“Also, something I didn’t think about,” Stiles answers casually as if it were so simple.

The two walk up a tiny steep hill, going deeper into the forest.

“It’s comforting to know #sharp inhale# you’re planning this out with your usual Attention to detail,” Scott says, gasping for air, and pulls out his Inhaler.

“I know,” Stiles answers with a smile.

Scott leans against a tree and uses his inhaler while gasping for air.

“Maybe the uhh severe asmethic should be the one holding the flashlight, huh?”

He continues to follow Stiles, who quickly notices the Beacon County Police with their flashlight and quickly ducks and turns off his flashlight.

Scott follows by ducking beside him.

“C’mon.” Stiles runs off to follow the polices officers and leaves Scott behind.

“STILES!” he quickly uses his inhaler again.

“Wait up,” then runs after him.

“Stiles,” Scott tries to call out to him to wait for him.

Stiles ignores him and keeps running and makes noise, which draws the police’s attention towards them.

He notices and tries to get away, only to hear Scott yell out his name, desperately trying to catch up.

“STILES!”

Stiles stops and turns to see where Scott is, but is unfortunately caught by a police officer and his K9.

“RUFF RUFF RUFF RUFF.” Stiles falls to the ground in shock and fear.

“HANG ON, HANG ON, this little delinquent belongs to me.” A second officer says to calm the dog down; it was the Sheriff, Stiles’ Dad.

“Dad, how’re you doing?” Stiles asks, like any normal Sunday Evening in a dark and creepy forest, while still rapidly blinking from the earlier assault on his eyes by the previous officer.

Scott quickly hides behind the nearest tree to avoid getting caught.

“So do you uhhh listen in to all my phone calls?” The sheriff asks his son.

“No,…

well, not the boring ones,” Stiles answers.

“And where’s your usual Partner in crime?”Noah (The Sheriff) asks.

“Who, Scott?” Stiles gasps, catching his breath.

“Scott’s home said he wanted to get a good night’s sleep for the first day back at school tomorrow #exhale# just me, in the woods….alone.” He looks at his dad, hoping he believes him.

“SCOTT, YOU OUT THERE?” Noah yells as the rain finally starts reaching the forest, with thunder in the distant sky.

“SCOTT?!” He yells one more time while holding up his flashlight and looks around to see if he can find Scott.

Scott remains silent behind the tree to avoid being spotted.

Noah lowers his flashlight.

“#Sigh# Well, young man.” He approachs stiles and grabs him by the back of his neck.

” I’m gonna walk you back to your car, and you and I are gonna have a conversation about something called invasion of privacy.”

Scott whispers, “Damn,” seeing his only way home just left.

He looks back to make sure the coast is clear and heads off into the forest, wandering, trying to find a way out.

The Sounds of the dark forest surround him, and he hears a cracking sound from above and looks up.

He continues to walk while looking around, then comes to a sudden stop and focuses his gaze forward.

He pulls out his inhaler to use, but before it even reaches his mouth, a herd of deer comes running out towards him, causing him to fall, losing his inhaler, and the herd jumps over him.

Scott gets up and looks around to make sure he’s in the clear, then pulls out his phone to look for his inhaler.

He sweeps away leaves with his hand and moves around trying to find his inhaler.

While looking for his inhaler, his flashlight reaches the corpse of a dead woman from the waist up, causing him to panic, tumble back, and fall off a tiny hill.

After falling and hitting a tree on his way down, he crawls to a nearby fallen tree and jumps over it.

Walking away, he hears a low, beastly Growl coming from behind him.

Slowly turning around, he sees a massive red-eyed quadruped monster the size of a bear looking straight at him.

It leaps towards him, drags him by his legs, and bites him in the abdomen.

It then throws him to the side, where he starts running away, stumbling in the rain, trying to get away from the creature.

He runs straight into the middle of the main road, where a car narrowly avoids hitting him and drives off.

Scott feels a sharp pain in his abdomen and pulls up his hoodie to see a bite mark the size of his hand.

Standing in the middle of the road, drenched by the rain, he hears a wolf howl in the distance coming from the forest as the rain intensifies.

[Malcolm POV]

Hearing the howl coming from the distance, he smiles knowingly.

“Looks like things have started setting in motion.” A smirk makes its way onto my face as I look forward to the upcoming events.

“Welcome to Beacon Hills, home of the supernatural.” Taking a final turn, I pull into the Driveway of our new home.

“Mom, wake up, we’re finally here.” I gently shake her and try to wake her up to no success.

” Mmm, mijo, 5 more minutes.” I’ll just carry her to bed.

After carrying my mom to her bed, I start taking the boxes out of the car and into our new home.

While locking the door, I notice a boy around my age drenched in rainwater.

‘Hold up, why does he look so familiar?’

Looking closer, I finally realize who it is.

“Scott McCall,” I whisper to avoid being heard.

‘I didn’t think we’d meet this early.

Looks like he just got bitten, and he’s far away from his house.’ I might as well make a good impression now rather than never.

“Hey, need a lift?” I say as I walk towards him.

” Uhhh, no, I’m good.

I’ll be fine.

It’s right around the corner.” Scott replies.

‘Liar,’ I think to myself.

“Get in, I’ll drive you.” I open the door, start the car, and pull the car next to him.

Scott reluctantly gets in.

“Thanks,” Scott says in appreciation.

“So, do you go to the high school around here?” I ask while I turn on the AC to a warm temperature.

” Yeah, I’m a Sophomore at Beacon Hills High.

Are you New here?”

“Yeah, just moved here from Los Angeles.

I’ll be transferring to your school tomorrow.” I say in reply.

” Ohh, and sorry bout the late introduction.

The name’s Malcolm, by the way.” I introduce myself to him.

“Scott, nice to meet you.” he returns the favor.

“Likewise.” We keep the conversation going for a short while till we pull up to his house.

“Thanks again for the ride,” Scott says.

“No problem.

See you at school tomorrow.”

I drive back home, park the car, and head upstairs to my room and go to sleep.

‘Things are only gonna get more interesting from here on out.’ I think to myself before dosing off.
