A silence of a few seconds followed, and both looked at each other in disbelief.

"Shit!"

The man tried to reach for his gun, but Nathan reacted fast enough and grabbed his arm, and before the man could even blink, he went behind him and put him in a chokehold.Full novel: Teen Wolf: The Soul Collector — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

"L-let go!" The man struggled and tried scratching his face, but it was useless.

Nathan put all of his strength into his arms, and his eyes became more and more cold as the man struggled.

"Crack!"

He twisted the man's head in a split second; he watched as the man fell to the ground helplessly, his mouth still open from the shock.

When the man died, Nathan could see a fragment coming from his body, and the information about it came instantly into his mind.

[Basic Firearms]

Current Progress: 0%~12%

"So even at the basic level, the growth will still be the same?" Nathan stroked his chin in deep thought; of course, he was not so delusional as to think the growth would always be the same.

After all, if he killed just the street thugs and became a god with the firearms, it would be ridiculous.

After experiencing the absorption of the fragment directly next to the body, he even got the information about the levels of the skills.

There was Basic, which he was on; the level was the lowest, just knowing the fundamental stuff.

Intermediate, which was, if he had to guess, someone with some years of experience.

Then there was Advanced, and he immediately thought of someone like a very good soldier or somebody in the special forces.

After that, there were Expert and Master; since he got only the knowledge about the levels and not a good description of them, he could only speculate.

Expert might be someone who worked their entire life on that skill, and Master someone who has reached the absolute pinnacle of that skill.

Nathan then brought his attention to the body and lifted it up and threw him in the trash. He then took something from his backpack and poured it inside.

After he was done, he slowly made his way into the building; the moment he entered, a large space could be seen.

Full of other types of materials, as if it was just a normal deposit. "So this is their cover-up?" He whispered as he shielded his body against a large box.

He couldn't see anyone, so he speculated that the man was responsible for this section of the building.

Nathan then made his way to the door that seemed to lead further inside; while walking, he always kept his left hand close to the knife he had bought.

The gun was a very good solution—that is, if he wanted to be found and shot from all directions.

He then slowly opened the door, and he could already hear some noise from the distance. When he approached the corner, he could hear them better.

"Did they find the one that ran?"

"No! That's why the boss is even angrier!"

"Boss?" Nathan whispered to himself in doubt; that meant that somebody was running all of this.

He could only hope that the person was present so that he would end this once and for all.

He then slowly approached them; they were behind a wall, and a glass window allowed them to see Nathan's side.

He lay down on the floor and quietly passed the glass, approaching the open door. When he glanced inside, he could see the two men talking and smoking by the window.

Nathan hesitated for a second, then he slowly made his way towards them; just then, the man was about to turn around, and Nathan froze.

"Hey! Did you get the ring?" The man stopped when he heard the question, and his face lit up at the mention.

"Yes! I will ask her tomorrow!"

Nathan let out a sigh of relief in his mind, and he continued crawling towards them. By now, he was only two meters away from them; the desk made his figure harder to spot.

"Congrat… Grughl!" Before the man could finish, a knife entered directly into his neck, and he could only struggle in shock for a few seconds before falling to the floor helplessly.

"What the fuck?!" Before the other could even do something, Nathan punched him directly to his nose, breaking it in the process and making him dizzy on his feet.

Nathan didn't wait for him to stabilize and followed with a combination of punches; it didn't take many, and the man went to the floor cold.

"This body is really bad!" Nathan looked at his hand, and he couldn't help but complain about how weak he was.

The old him would only take a good punch, and the man would have gone to sleep.

He then took the weapon from the sleeping man and started slapping his face. "Hey! Wake up! Come on, don't be a bitch. I didn't hit that hard!"

"Ughh…" The man slowly opened his eyes, and when he saw Nathan, he instinctively reached for his weapons, but there was nothing there.

"Thud!"

"Ouch!"

The man grabbed his bleeding nose in pain and looked at Nathan with hatred.

"Do you want more?! Tell me about your organization!" Nathan showed his fist to the man, making him flinch and cover his face.

New chapters will be posted twice a week, every Tuesday and Wednesday.
