"Do you know what you're up against?!" Instead of answering and cowering in fear as Nathan was expecting, the man seemed to be strangely courageous.
Nathan studied his face for a few seconds, and in a moment he caught the man glimpsing at the walkie-talkie.
His eyes narrowed as he thought of something. "Could it be…that you guys confirm your position at a specific time?"
The man's expression froze for a second, then he immediately tried acting cool. "I don't know what you are talking about! Wait! Are you that man?!"
The man seemed to realize something, and he stared intently at Nathan. Even though they didn't have a picture, they heard the description from the survivor guard.
Nathan began losing his patience, and he put the knife against the man's crotch. "I'm giving you five seconds to respond to my question."
"Gulp!" The man had a look of constipation. He wanted to say that Nathan wouldn't dare, but his dead friend said otherwise.
When the time was up and he felt the point putting pressure on his precious little thing, he finally began panicking. "Wait! Wait!"
Nathan stopped and began listening to his explanation. The more he heard, the more his expression darkened.
They were organ traffickers, not just for a day or two, but they had started years ago. The most gruesome thing was that children were the primary target.
Most of them were used for their organs for the rich who could afford them, and some were even outright sold like slaves.
When he heard about the boss, his expression was already ice-cold. He didn't care who was running it; he just knew that they all deserved to die.
"That's everything I know! I swear! Please! I will leave and will not say anything! I have a family!"
Nathan's eyes dropped and looked at the man without any expression. "They also had a family!"
"What?" The man's eyes widened, but the reaction was short as the knife swept across his throat and swiftly made him shut up.
Nathan stared at his dying face without flinching. He just realized that this kind of animal didn't deserve pity, and even jail would not be a proper punishment.
After killing him, he could finally concentrate on the fragments that his ability absorbed.

Current Progress: 12% -> 20% -> 30%
Nathan glanced at the last progress of 30% thoughtfully. Just an 18% increase didn't seem like much, but it could add up in no time.
Besides, it wasn't like he was helpless and didn't have any other skills. He then glanced at the dead bodies and searched their pockets for money.
What could he do? He was penniless, and besides, they wouldn't need it anymore.
After counting the money, Nathan was now $500 richer. He didn't forget the guns and put them in his backpack. In his current state, even one bullet was worth taking.
He looked at the two dead bodies one more time, then he walked outside. Thankfully, he got the children's location, and they were still alive.
Nathan soon came in front of a door that led to the basement. He looked around for a few seconds, then he carefully made his way down.
After he walked for a while, he could already hear the suppressed crying sound of the children.
"Shut up! I had enough of you!"
Nathan suddenly heard the voice of a woman. Hearing her violent voice, he hurried towards them.
What he saw made his eyes flare in fury. The children were all tied up in a big cage, just like animals.
There were visible bruises all around their bodies. It looked like they had been struck by something. Then he spotted the woman, with a rather large wooden cane in her hand.
The door to the cage was open, and the woman was just about to hit a little girl who was right in front.
"P-please! Don't!" The girl's eyes were filled with tears as her body trembled in the face of the woman.
"You little!" The woman pointed her finger at the girl. It seemed that the girl was the most atrocious thing in the world to her.
She then lifted the cane into the sky, and the girl closed her eyes in despair. Just as the woman was about to strike, she realized that the cane wouldn't move anymore.
Before she could turn around, Nathan hit her right in the ear. He swore he had never had so much desire to hurt somebody in his entire life.
The woman dropped to the floor as her entire body was paralyzed for a few moments, and she could only see stars. She couldn't hear anything from her ear anymore; she could only feel the pain.
The little girl slowly opened her eyes and was stunned when she saw Nathan, and a spark of hope emerged in her little eyes.
Nathan kept the woman in his line of sight and knelt down and looked at the girl. "I will get you out!"
The little girl's body trembled, and tears poured down from her eyes. She then jumped and hugged him.
