Marry me, and I’ll solve your problems—Gong Ming

As night deepened, a torrential rain poured down like a waterfall outside the car window, washing over the quiet, deserted road.

Inside the dimly lit car, two ambiguous figures intertwined and moved rhythmically.Full novel: Tempt Her to Surrender: Falling into the Embrace of the Ex-Uncle — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The man’s warm palm clasped tightly with hers, then sank deeply into the soft backrest of the seat.

He lowered his gaze, his thin lips brushing against the girl’s moist lips, his deep voice tinged with a dangerous edge: “If I take you, can you still marry him?”

“…” Cheng Youyi’s petite frame trembled slightly under the man’s overpowering strength. She pressed her lips together tightly, letting out faint, whimpering sounds.

Her small, palm-sized face was now flushed with a rosy hue, and even the moisture on her eyelashes seemed tinged with a faint red, making her appear even more enchanting and alluring.

Yet, the man who couldn’t get an answer chose to pull away and rise at this critical moment.

Sensing his movement, the girl’s teary eyes fluttered open. She pouted, her tears on the verge of falling, appearing especially tempting under the dim light.

After a moment, she mustered the courage to lift her small hand and gently tugged at the man’s broad palm: “Help me…”

This pitiful expression only added to her seductive charm in the man’s eyes.

“What’s in it for me?” He chuckled softly, leaning down to place his warm palm on her slender waist.

Cheng Youyi refused to answer the question. Defiantly, she lifted her chin and opened her small mouth to lightly bite the black tattoo on his neck.

The moist sensation made the man grunt softly, followed by a storm-like plunder…

…

When it was all over, the stretch Lincoln had already driven through the rain and stopped in front of the gates of Gong Ming’s private residence.

Seeing Gong Ming’s car arrive, the black-clad subordinates waiting at the entrance immediately stepped forward to greet him.

The leader, ‘Wen Zhuo,’ held an umbrella and opened the car door for Gong Ming: “Mr. Gong.”

Inside the car, Gong Ming carried Cheng Youyi out and headed straight into the villa.

He left behind a group of stunned servants and subordinates exchanging bewildered glances.

Mr. Gong… the person he’s carrying seems to be Miss Cheng?!

Isn’t she Young Master Qianyu’s fiancée?!

An uncle carrying his nephew’s fiancée into his room?

And the person in his arms seemed somewhat disheveled.

Heavens! Is the Gong Family about to face a major scandal?!

…

Under the influence of alcohol and drugs, Cheng Youyi slept deeply for a long time, only waking up slowly in the middle of the night.

Feeling the pain in her head and body, she rubbed her temples. When her blurry gaze fell upon the unfamiliar surroundings, she jolted awake instantly.

A chaotic flood of memories rushed into her mind at that moment.

She remembered accompanying Grandpa to Grandpa Gong’s birthday banquet tonight.

The two families had arranged a marriage alliance years ago. At her grandpa’s request, she thought that since it was an elder’s birthday banquet, it was only polite to attend.

As for the marriage, she planned to find a suitable time in the future to discuss calling it off properly, so the elders could accept it more easily.

But she never expected an unpleasant incident to occur at the banquet.

After Grandpa Gong and Grandpa Cheng left the banquet, her so-called future mother-in-law publicly splashed wine on her. In front of everyone, she pointed at her nose and cursed, saying the Cheng Family was lowly and unworthy of her son, Gong Qianyu, and that she had come tonight to throw herself at him.

And her so-called ‘fiancé’ not only failed to step in to stop any of this, but instead followed behind her, relentlessly urging Cheng Youyi to forgive his mother.

“You You, my mom didn’t mean it. She’s actually just worried about me. Just let her scold you a couple of times, and this whole thing will blow over.”

“Besides, I’m sure you wouldn’t stoop to arguing with an elder, right? She’s just a mother who cares about her child and doesn’t understand anything.”

“You should know your place. For someone of your status to marry into our Gong family is a blessing earned over several lifetimes.”

Hearing this, Cheng Youyi stopped in her tracks, turned around, and cut off the man’s incessant nonsense: “Gong Qianyu, listen to me clearly. I don’t want that ‘blessing.’ I don’t love you, and I have no intention of marrying you. You and your mother better stop bringing up that ridiculous arranged marriage between us from now on.”

“And one more thing!”

Seeing Gong Qianyu’s face darken with anger, she continued, “I never wanted to marry into the Gong family in the first place. Now is the perfect time. I’m officially notifying you that I want to break off the engagement. Don’t bother me anymore.”

With those words, she turned and walked away.

Watching that petite, delicate figure gradually disappear, Gong Qianyu stared at her retreating back, grinding his teeth, his fists clenched so tightly they creaked.

“Damn it, who does she think she is! Acting all high and mighty every day, does she really think I have to grovel for her? Pah!”

He never expected that Cheng Youyi, who usually seemed so timid and obedient, would dare to humiliate him like this!

Ever since their families had dinner together to announce their engagement, she hadn’t even let him hold her hand, let alone anything more intimate. Seizing the opportunity tonight, he had secretly slipped something into her drink. But before he could get his hands on her, his mother had ruined everything.

His mother really had no patience. She should have at least let him have his fun a few times before causing a scene.

Strangely, he had used that drug on many other women before, but this little girl showed almost no reaction after taking it? It seemed he’d have to use a stronger dose next time to succeed.

Outside, at that moment, a torrential downpour was raging.

Cheng Youyi hadn’t brought an umbrella. Wearing her little evening dress, she stood by the doorway. The wind was strong, and in her haste to leave, she had even forgotten her coat.

On top of that, having just been drenched with wine, her body felt chilled, and the cold air seeped into every part of her limbs.

She couldn’t help but shrink her neck, planning to find a sheltered spot to wait out the rain before heading back.

In her daze, a coat was draped over her shoulders. Cheng Youyi was stunned for a moment. Looking up, she saw a black umbrella held over her head, and gripping the handle was a pair of hands with distinct, clean, pale knuckles.

Gong Ming stood before her. Perched on his tall, straight nose was a pair of frameless gold-rimmed glasses. He exuded an aura of nobility and gentlemanliness, which clashed starkly with the black tattoo on the side of his neck.

“Uh… Hello, Uncle…” Recognizing who it was, she nervously took a step back, appearing somewhat flustered and uneasy.

“Did Qianyu bully you?” A deep, magnetic voice sounded above her head.

Cheng Youyi was taken aback. Faced with this man’s sudden concern, she didn’t know how to respond for a moment.

After all, she had only met him once before, and that was at the dinner table in the Gong family’s old mansion.

That was the first time the Gong and Cheng families had a meal together under the guise of the engagement. At the time, Gong Ming sat at the head of the table, slightly to the right. His handsome face was as cold as ice, and he exuded an aura of detachment.

As for her, she had only managed to steal a hurried glance at him after the meal began.

To this day, all she knew was that he was Gong Qianyu’s uncle, rumored to be a formidable figure whom everyone in the underworld looked up to.

Her grandpa, however, admired him greatly, saying it was a shame. If the family had given birth to a daughter back then, the engagement would have been with Gong Ming. But since both families had sons, the engagement was arranged for the grandchildren instead.

Cheng Youyi withdrew her gaze, shook her head, and replied softly, “Thank you for your concern, Uncle. I should go back now.”

With that, she hurriedly pushed his umbrella away, only to have the man grab her slender wrist.

“I’ll take you,” Gong Ming said, his thin lips parting slightly.

“No need to trouble yourself. I can go back on my own,” Cheng Youyi lowered her head, frantically shaking off his hand. She turned and ran a short distance, but suddenly the rain grew heavier, as if threatening to drown the entire city.

Gong Ming stood where he was, silently watching the small figure pitifully turn back through the rain.

She stood before him with her head lowered, like a student who had done something wrong, seemingly embarrassed.

The rain blurred the distance between them. Cheng Youyi kept her eyes downcast and called out softly, “I’m sorry, Uncle. I might really have to trouble you this time. I… I thought I could manage, but look… this rain…”

She pointed at the torrential downpour before her, her beautiful lashes blinking wetly, looking utterly wronged.

“Come here,” Gong Ming responded, lowering his gaze to hide the amusement in his eyes.

“Thank you, Uncle. Sorry for the trouble. I’m really embarrassed,” Cheng Youyi awkwardly bowed to him before slowly shuffling over.

Her clothes were already soaked. As she walked side by side with Gong Ming, the warmth radiating from him continuously seeped into her, even restoring some warmth to her frozen hands and feet.

With trepidation, she got into Gong Ming’s car.

At that moment, she had no idea that she was actually stepping into a wolf’s den.

Everything that followed would completely exceed anything she could have anticipated…

And this unexpected incident would lead to her losing her innocence, with the other party being none other than her fiancé’s uncle.

What’s more, it seemed she had been the more proactive one. She vaguely remembered that she had been the one begging him.

Oh heavens, what should she do? How could she have done something so disrespectful to an elder, and even lost her innocence in such a muddled state?

Cheng Youyi buried her face in the pillow, utterly annoyed, until the sound from the bathroom interrupted her recollection.
