Gong Ming watched her flustered expression and closed in step by step, until he had her trapped between the table and his embrace.
The man’s hands rested on either side of her, his body leaning slightly forward, his nose brushing against her cheek. His voice was magnetic and alluring: “Can’t find the words? Do I need to repeat what happened last night? To help you remember it better.”
“You…”
Cheng Youyi was forced to look up at him, her clear, innocent eyes filled with helplessness and fear, her small mouth pressed into a tight line.
His eyes held a dangerous message, and Cheng Youyi couldn’t help but shiver. She quickly lowered her gaze, biting her lower lip anxiously as she said, “What exactly do you want?”
“I want you.” The man was direct, his gaze burning as if it could melt her.
Cheng Youyi’s heart skipped a beat, pounding wildly in her chest.
“But I don’t want to be with you.” She mustered her courage and spoke her mind.
Last night was an accident. She wasn’t interested in Gong Qianyu, but that didn’t mean she was interested in an old man, okay?
“I’ve said before, you don’t need to rush into a decision.” The man’s voice was calm.
Cheng Youyi could feel the cold aura emanating from him, and she felt inexplicably afraid. Still, she insisted, “I don’t know you well, let alone have any feelings for you. Forcing ourselves together like this won’t lead to happiness. Besides, you’re so old—we’d have a generation gap, and we’d definitely end up arguing.”
“Me? Old?” Gong Ming pointed at himself in disbelief. This was the first time in his twenty-nine years of life that he had received such an evaluation.
Out there, countless women went to great lengths to please him, hoping he would spare them a glance. He couldn’t even be bothered to acknowledge them. And now, here he was, taking the initiative, and this little thing not only completely disregarded him but also called him old?
“Look, you’re ten years older than me. We’d definitely have a generation gap. Besides, I’m still in college, I have dreams, and I don’t want to get married. Last night was just an accident. We’re both adults—wouldn’t it be better to just let it go? Please, I’m begging you.” Cheng Youyi continued her analysis, counting on her fingers and shaking her head as she spoke, looking as if she were trying her best. Gong Ming couldn’t help but chuckle, the corners of his mouth unconsciously curving into a wider smile.
This was just too amusing! He reached out, lifted her petite body, and placed her on the table, then trapped her between his embrace and the table.
The girl’s back pressed against the cold wall, while his warm chest burned through the fabric of his clothes, instantly throwing her heartbeat into disarray and making her breathing heavy.
This was the first man, aside from her Dad and Mom, that she had ever been this intimate with in her entire life. She felt extremely uneasy.
“You You, be obedient and sensible. I’m not always as patient as I am now. I’ll give you time, but not too much. You can think it over, but the answer can’t be no. Otherwise, I’ll personally explain the situation to both families and marry you immediately.” After delivering his threat, Gong Ming lowered his head and captured her lips, not giving her a chance to argue. Ignoring her resistance, his movements gradually deepened.
“Mmm…”
Cheng Youyi stared at him with wide, teary eyes, unable to do anything but let him take what he wanted.
After a long while, he finally released her.
Gong Ming cupped her small face, examining it closely. Tears hung on her lashes, her watery eyes shimmering with a glistening light. He said in a low, husky voice, “You You, you’re crying.”
Cheng Youyi pouted, trembling as she sobbed, “Let me go, I won’t consider it.”
“Are you sure?” The man’s tone carried a hint of threat. He reached out, placing his warm, large palm over her slender thigh. The rough hand, slightly calloused, caressed her delicate skin, moving upward.
The strange sensation momentarily short-circuited her mind.
Just then, the voices of Mother Cheng and Father Cheng could be heard outside the door.
“You You, that silly girl, where has she hidden again? I told her we can’t neglect Mr. Gong’s status, no matter how much I reason with her, she just won’t listen.”
Father Cheng sighed deeply after hearing this. “This child has been spoiled by you, too willful. Who knows what even more infuriating things she might do someday.”
Father Cheng’s words jolted Cheng Youyi awake. She pushed against the man on top of her, trying to break free from his embrace. Unexpectedly, not only did the man not let go, but the hand resting near the root of her thigh grew even more audacious.
“Let go, my parents are outside,” Cheng Youyi pleaded, on the verge of tears.
Gong Ming remained silent, smiling wickedly. “Kiss me, and I’ll let go.”
“In your dreams,” Cheng Youyi fumed, thinking how shameless this man was.
Father Cheng’s voice drifted in again. “By the way, where has Mr. Gong gone? He said he was stepping out for some fresh air earlier, but I haven’t seen him. We really mustn’t neglect him.”
Then came Mother Cheng’s reply. “Wait, do you hear something? Inside?”
Mother Cheng pointed in the direction of Cheng Youyi’s courtyard.
“Let’s go in and check.”
Immediately, faint footsteps could be heard outside the door.
Cheng Youyi held her breath in fear. She knew that if her parents saw her and Gong Ming in such disheveled states, she would be done for.
Even if the other person was someone as esteemed as Gong Ming, it wouldn’t matter. Her upbringing didn’t allow such behavior, and besides, he was the uncle of her fiancé.
Before she could think further, the man’s hand grew increasingly bold.
“Darling, your mom and dad are about to come in,” he deliberately drawled his words, filling them with an ambiguous tone, enticing the little one in his arms to do something she shouldn’t.
Cheng Youyi panicked, terrified of being discovered by her parents outside. She twisted her body, trying to escape, but her hands were pinned against the edge of the table by the man, leaving her with nowhere to flee.
“Don’t, we can’t,” Cheng Youyi pleaded urgently.
“Why can’t we?”
“…”
Outside, Father Cheng knocked on the door and asked, “Mr. Gong, are you in there?”
Mother Cheng chimed in, “Why is this door locked? Did You You cause trouble again and upset you?”
Hearing her parents’ voices, Cheng Youyi grew even more frantic, shaking her head desperately and begging the man, “Please…”
Yet the man seemed determined not to relent. He raised an eyebrow. “Kiss me, and I’ll handle the situation outside.”
Cheng Youyi gritted her teeth, hesitating. She felt on the verge of collapse. How could this man be so shameless and despicable?
“Or… should we let them in now?” Gong Ming smiled mischievously, standing up as if to open the door.
“No…” Cheng Youyi whispered in terror.
The man paused his movements, teasingly staring at her. “What should you do then?”
“You…” Cheng Youyi was so mortified she wished she could die.
She closed her eyes, her small hands clutching the man’s shirt, then tilted her entire face upward toward him with effort. Her swollen, red lips pressed close to his Adam’s apple, her scorching breath spraying against his neck, causing the man to involuntarily tense up.
Her muffled whimpers sounded like a pleading, coquettish plea: “Uncle… I don’t know how…”
This unconscious teasing nearly made Gong Ming lose control. His brows furrowed deeply, and the next second, he reached out and abruptly gripped Cheng Youyi’s slender waist, lifting her up and pressing her against his chest.
“Mmm…”
