When evening arrived, I purchased her favourite dinner, gently feeding her with deep affection to boost her confidence and spirit before tomorrow's match. I also listened earnestly to her stories about her day and gave feedback as I could to ease her anxiety.
That night, we retired to sleep early as the morning of the grand finals quickly arrived. Describing the grand finals feels almost surreal because the entire match turned out to be remarkably anticlimactic. Sesil demonstrated an overwhelming gap in raw power between herself and Iclima, showing everyone why she had originally been hailed as a prodigy before her mental health plummeted due to consecutive losses.
The best-of-nine final series concluded in a swift five-to-zero sweep by Sesil without yielding a single round. Tears welled up in my eyes as I watched her stand atop the podium after easily dismantling Iclima. It turned out I had worried excessively, as Sesil performed like an unstoppable force out on the arena floor. Even Iclima's attempts to copy her unique movements failed completely, leaving her rival visibly stunned.
Sesil's eyes burned with fierce determination during every round. I could sense her strength expanding dramatically whenever she caught sight of me standing by the changing room. Ultimately, she claimed final victory, throwing her spear triumphantly into the air.
Sesil subsequently approached the crying, defeated Iclima.
"Come on, that was a wonderful fight. I hope you can claim victory in the next maiden tournament, and I look forward to sharing an arena with you again," Sesil said, remaining humble as she helped Iclima up from the floor.
She handled the situation brilliantly, staying down-to-earth while showing genuine respect to her opponent. It mirrored the exact lessons Viper 6 had taught me, ensuring we never panicked when encountering unexpected variables against our adversaries.
With Sesil's assistance, Iclima walked off the arena floor. I was then invited to join Sesil on the podium to receive her tournament trophy and official certificate, which would allow her to register for higher-graded competitions.
"Please lift the trophy together with me, Instructor," Sesil whispered softly.
Together, we raised my very first victory trophy, filling my heart with immense joy over winning this tournament. Up in the stands, Sesil's fan club cheered enthusiastically while journalists captured numerous photographs. During the post-match grand finals interview, I accompanied Sesil as she fielded questions, watching her handle every inquiry with growing ease and confidence.
Opening our mobile messaging group, I found a flood of congratulatory messages from Princess Thelma, Dela, Shia, and Chia. Sesil and I quickly typed out our responses to the group.
"Next month is my turn, and I am going to claim victory in my debut match as well!" Dela typed enthusiastically. "Please lend me your guidance next month, Instructor!"
"Understood..." I replied, sending a custom sticker along with my message.
Upon returning to our hotel suite, we realised our supply of condoms and contraceptive pills was completely exhausted. I looked at Sesil affectionately and laid out her options. "You have two choices here. Either give me time to run to the nearest supermarket to pick up condoms and pills, or risk having me release inside you without protection, which could lead to an unexpected pregnancy."
Sesil cupped my face gently with both hands, stroking my cheeks. "Yogiri, my true dream is simply to become a loving mother and your personal assistant. I only continue participating in magic tournaments because I carry the Ernburg family name."
Hearing her honest confession filled my heart with warmth. Sesil gazed at me with passionate eyes, asking, "Would you like to place a bet on whether I get pregnant tonight?"
Her eyes transformed into heart shapes, brimming with raw desire. I patted her head gently, saying, "Let us transfer to another hotel first, my love. We need to check out before four in the afternoon. Besides, we still need to go ring shopping for both of us, right?"
Sesil's expression returned to normal as she smiled brightly. "Right! The rings! I am so excited to wear a ring from you, Yogiri!"
"Sesil," I began, genuinely moved by her aspirations. "You will certainly become a wonderful mother one day, but let us build a legendary legacy for you first. We can aim to win five consecutive Grade 1 tournaments, or claim the Triple Tiara title, or even earn the rank of Mighty Wind Magician."
"That way, our future children will know their mother achieved great success through her own dedication," I added, wrapping my arms around Sesil from behind as she changed her clothes. "They will look back with pride on their parents' remarkable achievements."
Sesil went silent for a moment, appearing to internalise my words.
"Alright... in that case, my next target will be the G1 tournament!" Sesil declared with renewed enthusiasm. "Please continue guiding me, Instructor! Let us aim for fifteen G1 victories to set a record!"
"Now that sounds like outright torture," I laughed, pinching her cheek playfully. "Do you really want to compete in G1 matches every single month against opponents holding rank A-plus to SS stats without properly training?"
Sesil just quietly smiled and began changing. After changing into casual clothing and packing our belongings into our suitcases and backpacks, I activated the cleaning robot and ensured nothing was left behind. Sesil continued to hold her maiden tournament trophy tightly in her arms.
"I am not letting go of this..." Sesil stated firmly.
"Let us store it safely in the car trunk first, so it does not get damaged or broken," I reminded her while locking our suite door and heading toward the elevator.
"No way! This is my very first trophy!" the pink-haired girl huffed playfully.
As we completed our checkout process, a few journalists remained outside trying to intercept us, alongside several fans offering congratulatory gifts to Sesil. I proceeded directly to our car, opening the trunk to load our luggage.
"Thank you so much for your support!" Sesil expressed her gratitude to her fans, placing their gifts inside the trunk.
I took the driver's seat and fastened my seatbelt, waiting for Sesil to sit beside me in the passenger seat. Leaning over, I secured her seatbelt properly to ensure her safety.
"Once we reach the jewellery store, what kind of ring design would you prefer?" I inquired. "Do you want something luxurious featuring gemstones, or a simple design engraved with our initials?"
"A simple design with our initials, please!" Sesil answered immediately. "There is no need for luxury, as I dislike excessive opulence. A simple ring symbolises that I love Yogiri for who you are, just as you care for me as Sesil rather than just an Ernburg!"
I offered her a gentle headpat before starting the car engine. Based on my earlier search, a well-known jewellery shop was located nearby in the city. Personally, I wanted durable rings that symbolised the solid, enduring nature of our relationship. We decided to select the rings in person, arranging for delivery directly to the staff dormitory.
It would have been troublesome if Sesil's fans or paparazzi spotted us shopping for matching rings. Even though Sesil was beginning to care less about public opinion, I still wanted to respect her fans' feelings.
We wore heavy disguises complete with face masks when entering the jewellery shop. Sesil smiled happily as she tried on various ring sizes on her ring finger, while the store clerk agreed to keep our identity strictly confidential.
We ultimately selected titanium rings featuring a tiny gem setting and an inner engraving of an S and a Y joined by a heart symbol. I deferred entirely to Sesil's preferences throughout the selection process.
Afterwards, we enjoyed a quiet date around the city's shopping centre before visiting a pharmacy to purchase condoms and contraceptive pills. Even though I knew Sesil desired motherhood, I refused to derail her career. I wanted the woman I loved to reach the pinnacle of her potential so I could take pride in having a partner as strong as myself.
Upon returning to our parked vehicle, I used my magic to scan the car for tracking devices. Expanding my detection aura further, I checked for hidden surveillance drones in the immediate vicinity.
I located three stealth drones hovering directly above our position. Utilising my abnormal magic, I overloaded their systems, causing the concealed television network drones attempting to scrape story details to short-circuit and explode.
"Honestly, their persistence is getting ridiculous," I complained, sliding into the driver's seat.
"It is because you are my instructor and we appear very close. Let us go public once we have won a few Grade 1 tournaments together..." Sesil suggested softly.
"Let us wait until you officially graduate from the magic academy before going public," I replied, gently stroking her cheek. "I want to share it too, but I worry about the impact on your fanbase..."
"In that case... I want to stay in your dormitory room tonight to receive my reward..." Sesil requested, her eyes locked on mine with clear desire.
"That is a terrible idea, the staff dormitory walls are paper-thin. It would be a disaster if my neighbours heard us..." I laughed softly, asking, "Should we book another hotel room instead?"
"I can hardly wait any longer either..." I added, wrapping my arm around her to press a tender kiss against her cheek.
Sesil pondered our options briefly before replying, "I would love a hotel room, but our authorised leave is about to expire. We might get flagged for unexcused absences..."
Pulling out her phone, she sent a quick message to Miss Selia. She then displayed her screen to me, revealing that Miss Selia had permitted us to utilise the academy headmaster's private quarters, which doubled as Miss Selia's on-campus residence.
"The suite is completely soundproofed, and I occasionally stay there whenever I feel unwell or exhausted..." Sesil explained bashfully.
"In that case, let us head back immediately!" I declared happily.
Within a few hours, we arrived back at the Trinity Academy parking area. I dropped Sesil off near the entrance while driving down to park the vehicle inside the staff garage. However, it appeared my reward for her would have to wait briefly, as Princess Thelma and the rest of the team were waiting outside the female dormitory alongside Miss Selia to welcome Sesil back.
"Outstanding work, Yogiri," Miss Selia remarked with pride, glancing at me. "Just look at that radiant smile on her face."
"By the way, Yogiri, I finally learned what allows you to enhance Sesil's capabilities so dramatically. Brigadier General Thorns informed me that you are a survivor of the military's Zuchtstern Project," Miss Selia whispered close to me. "Come to my office next week so Thorns can explain the details properly."
"Understood," I replied, accepting a keycard from Miss Selia while my expression turned serious at the mention of the project.
"It turns out that initiative involved an abnormal magic breeding program run by the government," Miss Selia shared in a low voice. "Thorns leaked to me that King Drach intends to utilise you as a core asset for an expanded continuation of this breeding project."
"What? A breeding program?" I asked in disbelief. "I am a human being, not a stud horse..."
"It sounds harsh, but whatever is going on inside the King's mind, he is utterly obsessed with multiplying abnormal element spellcasters. He intends to use your current team as test subjects and appointed me to oversee the operation," Miss Selia whispered. "Essentially, Thorns mentioned that King Drach has already negotiated with the parents of the girls on your team to arrange them as your designated partners."
Noticing Sesil approaching us while we were whispering, we quickly adjusted our posture to resume a normal conversation. Sesil grabbed my hand, pulling me over to join the rest of the team.
"That keycard opens my private quarters via the administrative elevator. Simply scan it and enter my birthdate to access the basement suite, which you two may use as much as you like... wonderful job out there, Yogiri..." Miss Selia said before trailing behind us.
I joined the group to celebrate Sesil's maiden tournament victory. Moving to the instructor's office building, I happily paid for pizza and soft drinks for everyone. It was a modest gathering, but maintaining such traditions felt important for team morale.
"Instructor Yogiri, next month is my turn to make my official debut," Dela said, taking a seat beside me.
"There is no need to feel anxious, Dela. The key is to stay confident and trust in your instructor..." Sesil added from my left side.
As the senior member of our team, Sesil began sharing practical tips with Dela. I occasionally chimed in to validate her advice. Watching her speak enthusiastically about her dreams of becoming an assistant instructor and a mother, I found myself drifting into a brief fantasy.
Imagining a future with five wives, Sesil, Dela, Shia, Chia, and Princess Thelma, promised to make life quite eventful. I wondered what King Drach's absurd breeding program truly entailed. Then again, during my time as a child soldier, I had signed agreements granting the state lifetime ownership over my service...
"Alright, it is already eight in the evening, so let us wrap things up. See you all next Monday to resume our training schedule!" I announced, concluding our celebration. Princess Thelma, who loved fast food, packed up the remaining pizza slices, while we stored the soft drinks inside my office refrigerator.
Rather than returning to our respective dormitories, Sesil and I proceeded to the central administration building. Scanning the keycard provided by Miss Selia, the elevator descended into the basement level. The doors opened to reveal an entrance marked as the academy headmaster's residence.
Upon unlocking the door, we found Miss Selia waiting inside for us. "The lovebirds have finally arrived. Feel free to use that bedroom over there, and do not worry, the space is entirely soundproofed."
Sesil and I held hands tightly, blushing as Miss Selia gave us her explicit approval.
