Caelen began to walk down from the dais that was facing the class. "I can’t beat them to death, but surely I can do some things to get their attention."
Behind him, Alina still remained frozen, looking at Caelen with a bewildered expression on her face. She did not understand what was happening.
Caelen walked between a random row, his eyes scanning the students to see if there would be any that caught his attention. He had no qualms about who he should choose to teach a lesson.
Just then, the girl in the seat that he had just passed shot her leg out as if to trip him. At the same time, she gave him a seductive wink. "Hello, Instructor Caelen."
He stopped and turned to the girl without saying anything.
She continued, twirling her hair around her finger. "There’s this Essence Scripture that I heard about that would complement me. It won’t affect my Essence Path and, in fact, will be a great help to me, but only you can get it for me. Don’t worry, I’ll continue to do the usual for you...."
Before, if Caelen was interested, he would have given her a heated look and then demanded whatever he wanted her to do, mostly new things that he had just learned. And if he wasn’t interested, he would have waved her away dismissively.
It was a shame that it was the method that students in Class Thirteen used to get by. Naturally, the males had it worse.
But as Caelen gazed at the girl there, there was only disgust and ridicule in his eyes. And he said silently, "You should have killed Caelen since he was so useless that he would ruin you guys...."
The girl blinked at him. "What?"
Caelen shook his head and spoke out loud instead. "You are too weak for me to be interested in. What value can you provide me?"
The girl was baffled. "What are you talking about, Instructor Cael....!!"
Caelen’s hand shot forward, and he slammed it over her mouth with enough force to break some of her teeth. His hand clamped and tightened, forcing her scream back in.
The girl struggled, trying to pry Caelen’s hand away, but it was as if she was trying to move a mountain. Her eyes widened with terror as she realized that she couldn’t break free. This chapter was copied from NovelPing without permission.
Caelen looked down at her, and he lifted her up easily just like that, ignoring her pleading eyes or the strain he was putting on her neck.
Without even saying anything, one by one, the students turned to look at him, their stunned eyes locked on him.
Caelen frowned slightly. "There’s no shortcut to power. You will have to put in the hard work....."
His voice got lower and lower until he stopped speaking. He sighed. He wasn’t good at giving lectures. He was much better at giving orders and showing things through actions.
He shook his head and flung the girl away as if she was dog shit that he had somehow stepped on.
The girl tumbled through the air and clattered against chairs, her painful screams finally let loose. Blood and snot covered her face, and some bloody teeth fell into her hand.
Her voice was now the only one in the class.
Different expressions flashed across the students’ faces. Surprise was the strongest, followed by shock and disbelief. Then there was a hint of fear and caution in others, while some showed hints of indignation and anger.
One boy stood up, his face flushed and his eyes constantly darting to the girl crying on the ground. He pointed a finger at Caelen, his aura swirling around him. "You! You fucking imbecile, how dare you touch her! You’re nothing but a failed Instructor, and you still want to beat your students?"
Caelen raised a brow as he heard that. He was amused. "So you have a crush on her?"
The boy flushed even deeper, almost struggling to speak. "That’s none of your business. Apologize right now!"
Caelen sneered as he began to approach the boy. Some memories flashed through his head, and his voice dripped with mockery. "You’re having a crush on that girl? Do you know how many people she had slept with? Even in this class, do you know how many times, just for scraps of resources?" Enjoying the story? Read on at NovelPing.
The boy froze, his eyes wide.
Caelen waved a dismissive hand. "I don’t really care about what you do with your life or who you have a crush on."
Then his voice sharpened, growing low and filling with malice. "But how dare you talk to your instructor like that? From now on, you are no longer my student!"
And with that, Caelen took a step, but his figure blurred as he crossed the distance, appearing in front of the boy, who was only E-rank by Caelen’s measurements. His hand shot forward and gripped the boy by the elbow, and applying just a little force shattered the arm!
The boy screamed, but Caelen backhanded him, sending him twisting through the air, where he clattered against the chairs. He scrambled to stand upright, running toward the door in fear, but a booted foot slammed into him from behind, sending him jetting back.
And just like that, Class Thirteen was reduced by one.
The silence this time was filled with fear. The students’ expressions darkened, and they dared not make any unnecessary moves.
Caelen nodded as he muttered. "This is how a class should be. All of your attention should be on your Instructor."
He went back to the dais, where Alina was still waiting, frozen on the spot. "Good. I heard there were some new students here for me this year. Let’s make some introductions. I am Instructor Caelen Seradon, and if you follow me, then you can at least make something out of your miserable lives!"
All the students were simply too stunned to reply. And why shouldn’t they be? Who didn’t know Caelen Seradon? The weakest and most useless? The one that even the weakest students in his class could beat up?
All of them, every one of them, even those who were confident in their strength, felt some kind of chill deep in their hearts.
It was as if a dragon that had previously been hiding and slumbering in a cave had suddenly raised its head.
