After around fifteen minutes of walking, Ren finally arrived.

Kuoh Academy stood before him.

A massive campus surrounded by neatly trimmed trees and elegant brick walls.Full novel: The Almighty. — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Students continuously walked through the front gates in small groups, chatting and laughing with one another as they made their way toward the main building.

Standing outside the gate for a moment, Ren looked up at the school.

“So this is Kuoh Academy…”

He had seen it countless times in the anime.

Seeing it in person was different.

It was much larger than he remembered.

Taking a deep breath, he joined the flow of students entering the campus.Almost immediately he noticed it.

The ratio.

Girls everywhere.

As far as the eye could see, female students filled the walkways.

Every now and then he’d spot another guy, but they were heavily outnumbered.

“No wonder people wanted to transfer here,” Ren muttered under his breath.

Some of the girls glanced in his direction as he walked past.

A few whispered to each other.

“Finally, a hot guy!”

” Yeah, we’ve been seeing gargoyles so far”

“Some eye candy for once”

“He’s really cute…”

Ren pretended not to hear them.

He had already expected this much after his little glow-up.

Following the signs, he entered the main building before making his way toward the staff room.

‘First day…

let’s see how this goes,’ he thought as he knocked on the door.

The door opened, revealing a female teacher wearing a neat business suit with a clipboard tucked under one arm.

She looked at Ren for a moment before smiling.

“Oh.

Someone actually followed the signs.”

Ren blinked.”…Were people not supposed to?”

She let out a small sigh.” They were but you’d be surprised how many didn’t ”

Shaking her head, she gestured for him to stay put.

“Wait here and I’ll take you to the gym.”

He nodded.”Alright.”

Ren quietly waited outside while students and teachers passed through the hallway.

Every now and then someone glanced at him, likely wondering who the unfamiliar student was.

A few minutes later, the teacher returned.

“Let’s go.”

The two began walking through the academy together.

Since they were still early, the teacher decided to give him a short tour of the campus.

“This is the main building.”

She pointed toward another hallway.

“The science labs are on the second floor.

The library is through there, and the student council room is on the third floor.

Try not to get lost.”

“I’ll try.”

She smiled before continuing.

Along the way, Ren took in everything around him.

The academy was spotless.

Students greeted teachers politely as they walked by, clubs were already putting up recruitment posters despite it being the first day, and the gardens surrounding the school were surprisingly well maintained.

‘Looks exactly like the anime,’ he thought.

After the short tour came to an end, they finally arrived at the gymnasium.

The large doors were already open as streams of first-year students filed inside for the entrance ceremony.

“Go ahead and find a seat,” the teacher said.

“I’ll be with the other staff.”

“Thanks.”

She gave him a nod before walking away.

Ren looked around for an empty place to sit.

Seeing one nearby, he casually made his way over and sat down.

Only after settling into his seat did he notice the two girls beside him.

He slowly turned his head.

‘…Hmm.

Who would’ve thought I’d be sitting next to Akeno and Rias?’

Rias Gremory sat with perfect posture, her long crimson hair flowing down her back while her blue eyes remained fixed on the stage ahead.

Beside her, Akeno Himejima wore her usual gentle smile, though her eyes quietly observed the students entering the gym.

Neither of them acknowledged him.

The girls simply faced forward, silently assessing everything around them.

Ren followed their gaze before casually looking toward the front rows.

Almost immediately…

He spotted another familiar pair.

Sona Sitri sat with her usual composed expression, a pair of glasses resting neatly on her face.

Her short black hair and calm violet eyes gave her an elegant, dignified appearance that naturally drew respect.

Beside her stood Tsubaki Shinra, a beautiful girl with long black hair, gentle brown eyes, and a mature aura, quietly remaining at Sona’s side like a loyal shadow.

‘Wow…

small world.’ He corrected himself a second later.

‘Well…

small school.’

A faint smile tugged at the corner of his lips.

It was honestly strange seeing characters he’d only watched on a screen sitting a few meters away from him.

Still…He wasn’t about to go introduce himself.

There wasn’t much point.

At least not yet.

Ren leaned back in his chair, folded his arms, and waited patiently for the ceremony to begin.

‘In two years…’ His gaze drifted toward the stage.

‘…the real story begins.’ He let out a quiet sigh.

‘This is going to take some time.’

A few minutes later, the gymnasium gradually fell silent as the teachers took their places near the stage.

The chatter between students slowly died down until only whispers remained.

Then…A teacher stepped up to the podium.

“Good morning, everyone.” His voice echoed throughout the gym through the speakers.

“On behalf of Kuoh Academy, I’d like to welcome all of our new first-year students.”

A round of applause followed.

Ren listened quietly as the teacher spoke about the academy’s history, the recent decision to become a co-ed school, and the importance of working together to create a welcoming environment for everyone.

Some students listened attentively.

Others were already zoning out.

Ren belonged to the second group.

‘ This boring.

I should go to a future where I don’t have to listen to this.

I’m joking’ he thought.

The principal was invited onto the stage shortly afterward.

He gave another speech.

It wasn’t particularly long, but it covered everything from academic expectations to school rules and club activities.

Finally…”We hope each and every one of you enjoys your time here at Kuoh Academy.”

The students applauded once more.

After the applause settled, another teacher walked onto the stage carrying a clipboard.

“Before everyone returns to their classrooms, there is one final announcement.” She adjusted her glasses before looking toward the audience.

“As many of you know, Kuoh Academy’s Student Council plays an important role in maintaining school life.”

Several students looked toward one another curiously.

“This year, after reviewing the entrance examinations and teacher recommendations, we have selected two outstanding first-year students to join the Student Council as probationary members.”

A few murmurs spread throughout the gym.

The teacher smiled.

“When your names are called, please come to the stage.”

She looked down at the clipboard.”Souna Shitori”

Souna calmly stood from her seat.

Without the slightest hint of nervousness, she walked toward the stage under the gaze of the entire first-year class.

Ren watched quietly.

‘Not surprising, since they practically own this school.

‘

The teacher continued.

“Tsubaki Shinra.”

Tsubaki smiled politely before following after Souna.

The two girls stood side by side as the principal welcomed them with a handshake.

“We look forward to working with both of you.”

“Thank you very much,” Souna replied respectfully.

Tsubaki nodded beside her.

The gym filled with another round of applause before the two stepped down from the stage and returned to their seats.

‘So they’re jusg joining the Student Council..’ Ren rested his chin on his hand.

‘Guess Sona hasn’t become Student Council President yet.’

That would come later.

For now…

She was simply another first-year student with more responsibilities than everyone else.

Once the ceremony officially came to an end, teachers began directing each class toward their assigned homerooms.

“First-years, please follow your class teachers.”

Students immediately began standing from their seats as the gym filled with conversation once again.

‘ Alright let’s go’ he thought.

Peace
