Lila's POV
After our encounter with Aunt Nana and her cryptic words, Cole and I returned home, a mix of confusion and uncertainty swirling in our minds.
We arrived late and returned to our rooms, exchanging a simple goodnight.
I climbed into bed, too exhausted to shower, my thoughts racing with the weight of saving the world. As I pondered, sleep finally embraced me.
In my dream, a radiant stream flowed like a piece of heaven. As I approached it, a voice called out my name.
"Lila, my true Luna," the voice said. I turned to find none other than the Moon Goddess.
Kneeling, I bowed my head in reverence.
"Rise, my child," she commanded, and I stood, trembling with awe and excitement.
"I'm thrilled and surprised to see you, Moon Goddess. Why are you in my dream?"
"Do not fear, my child. I come to grant your deepest wish. You are indeed a true Luna, even if you are unaware of it," she proclaimed, power radiating as she spoke.
"Thank you, Moon Goddess! Finally, I can hold my head high and refuse to let anyone undermine me."
Her words filled me with joy.
"I grant you your wolf, Phyna," she said, and in that moment, a distant howl echoed. A majestic wolf raced towards me, and as I knelt to touch her, I felt an instant connection.
"Phyna, she's perfect," I whispered, awash with happiness.
"Today marks a new beginning for you, Lila. A grand journey awaits, but beware; danger lurks. Evil forces will seek your power," the Moon Goddess warned.
"I understand, Moon Goddess. Thank you for this incredible gift. I'm ready to face them boldly," I replied, heartened.
"Just remember to follow your heart." As she extended her hand, I began to glimpse ominous visions of danger before I screamed and awoke.
Morning light flooded my room.
What a strange dream! I stood before the mirror, astonished by what I saw—my eyes glowing red.
A voice resounded within me.
"Hi, Lila, I'm your wolf Phyna. Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too," I replied, beaming as my eyes returned to normal.
Eager for the day, I hurried to the dining room, where Holly was already waiting.
"Good morning, beautiful! How was your night?" she asked with a smile.
"I'm okay, Holly, just really hungry! How long have you been here?"
"Not long. But what's that on your arm?" Holly asked, pointing toward something unusual.
"I don't know," I admitted. As she stepped closer, surprise filled her face.
"Holly, what's wrong?"
"Your eyes! They're glowing red! Lila, what's happening with you? I need to get Cole!" she exclaimed before rushing upstairs.
I waited for them to return so I could explain everything.
Within ten minutes, they were back, questions pouring out from both of them.
"You need to calm down—one at a time!"
"Okay, what's really going on with you?" Holly asked.
"Let's just say it's a dream come true."
"What do you mean?" Holly pressed.
"I dreamed the Moon Goddess gave me a gift."
"The Moon Goddess? What gift?" Cole asked, intrigued.
"She granted me my wolf, her name is Phyna," I said, my excitement bubbling.
"Wow, that's amazing! Does this mean you can transform into a wolf?" Holly inquired.
"I'm not sure, but we're about to find out."
We stepped outside, and they stood back, anticipation in their eyes.
"Okay, Lila, we're ready," Cole said.
"I can't do this! I've never transformed before. What if it doesn't work? Phyna, can you hear me?" I called, but there was silence.
Cole moved closer, holding my hand. "Look at me, Lila. Don't be afraid. We've all been through this. You can do it. I believe in you."
"Take a deep breath and close your eyes. Connect with your wolf, Lila," he encouraged.
I inhaled deeply and closed my eyes as he instructed.
"Phyna, are you there?"
"Yes, Lila, I'm here."
"It's time."
As I opened my eyes, I saw the joy and pride on Holly and Cole's faces.
With newfound determination, I shifted back to my true self.
Cole and Holly rushed to me, embracing me tightly.
"You did it!" Holly shouted, elation filling her voice.
"Thank you," Cole said gratefully.
"You're welcome, and thank you too, Cole, for your support."
