Chapter 23: Bring Me A True Luna.

The Alpha's Concubine Mate

Nolan POV

I stepped into the house, calling out to see if anyone was home, but silence greeted me.

Then I heard shouts outside, my curiosity piqued as I rushed to investigate and discovered the most stunning sight—an embodiment of a true Luna.

I noticed Holly and Cole embracing Lila as she transformed back into her genuine self.

"What's going on here? You all sound so excited!"

Holly chimed in, "Lila just revealed her wolf for the first time."

"Not you, Holly; I was asking my brother," I snapped, hoping to keep the focus where I intended.

Holly looked hurt by my tone, retreating into silence.

"What do you want, Nolan?" Cole asked, irritation in his voice. "Your disrespect needs addressing."

I smirked, "Funny coming from you. You side with our father's chosen."

"Don't refer to her that way," Cole warned, stepping closer.

"Easy there, Alpha. I mean no harm; I just wanted to check in."

"Why the sudden concern?" Cole asked, skepticism evident in his tone.

"Because I've grown up; change happens."

"What do you want, Nolan?" Lila asked, meeting my gaze fearlessly.

"Whore," I scoffed, "just because you transformed doesn't grant you immunity from insults."

"Stop it! I won't say it again," Cole interjected firmly.

"But wasn't she one of our father's concubines? Why the sudden attachment?"

"That was the past; she's mine now," Cole asserted.

"Fine, brother, suit yourself. Congratulations on your first transformation, Lila; it was impressive."

"Thank you, Nolan," Lila replied, her smile radiant.

"Why are you really here?" Cole pressed.

"Where's Dad?"

"He hasn't returned and his phone isn't connecting," Cole replied.

"Have you tried searching for him?"

"I don't know where to look," Cole admitted.

"I've heard whispers of a true Luna being born. Is Lila the one?"

Silence fell. "Who told you? How do you know?" Cole asked, surprised.

"Just rumors, like I said."

"Alphas are searching for a Luna like her. Imagine the power of that pack."

"Please, I don't want conflict with you," Cole said earnestly.

"If you have nothing else to say, I'll take my leave," Lila commanded.

"Sure, Luna, but remember, this isn't over."

"I know. Bring your best; I'm ready," Lila replied, confidence shining in her eyes.

I departed, heading to my car with determination, driving to the Moon Shadow pack's hidden chamber to relay Lila's readiness and bravery.

Upon arrival, I was struck by a harrowing sight—many women were bound, fear etched on their faces.

As I ventured further in, two giant creatures approached me, howling at my presence. I stood my ground and announced, "I bring good news and wish to see your alpha."

After a long stare, they opened the sacred gate for me, and I entered, the door closing behind me.

Before me stood a witch and a man—the Alpha of the Moon Shadow pack. I knelt and proclaimed, "Great Alpha, I bring you good news."

"Speak," the Alpha commanded.

"I know who the true Luna is. She was once my father's concubine, but now she stands as a Luna. She is the key you seek."

"Why do you bring this news, and what do you offer?" the Alpha queried.

"I seek to be second in command of your army when I deliver her to you. I want your witch to empower me greatly, to become feared and unknown."

"The witch by my side makes us unstoppable."

"You wish to deliver Luna?" the Alpha asked again.

"Yes, but I need your help."

"What, then?" the Alpha demanded.

"I wish to be empowered to challenge her and my brother, as she is under his protection."

"Very well, but there is a condition," the Alpha replied.

"Name it."

"Submit something of great value that you cannot reclaim if you fail," he commanded.

In my desperation, I responded quickly, "Take my wolf form, make me human if I fail."

"Agreed," the Alpha said, reminding m

e of the weight of my decision.

"Now, Eliza," he called to the witch.

"Kneel," Eliza instructed.
