Its been about four years since the person calling themselves Spider-gal then Spiderwoman started showing up here and there around New York city taking care of criminals ranging from common robbers to interdimensional demons seeking to take over the world.
And while the four years had been hectic for some for most it was just same old same old where if superhero business were to start then everyone would dive for the nearest building that passed all the safety checks if they were so lucky.
Cause other times they'd be forced to take part in whatever plan this weeks villain had been planning to the point that people like Jake Long couldn't even care less when he was being held up the side of one of the many Oscorp buildings that if he were to start falling he'd turn into a red pancake.
Jake: "(Gets swung around with the others) Can we hurry this up I got calculous test that's worth half my grade and I don't think my professor would believe me getting kidnapped for the third time this week."
Doc oc: "Silence! (brings Jakes closer while also turning him upside down) Don't you see just how corrupt! How despicable Norman is! See how he and his puny Alchemax company is scurrying around like mice once they know I'm after them and their little secrets about to be exposed!"
Jake: "Dude Oscorp gets shut down by the government almost every week for some crime or another before starting back up again on lack of evidence. And besides their a chemical company that's dealing with prototype stuff of course their going to scurry around like mice when someone as crazy as you starts attacking their shipments."
This was day in which Jake probably should have kept his mouth shut.
As after this Spiderwoman eventually showed up and started attacking Doc oc while also doing her best to save everyone as they all gush and cheer her on as Jake starts booing Spiderwoman before giving his thanks for saving him as he puts his earbuds in and starts walking home.
While walking Jake spotted one of the Alchemax containers had crashed into one of the corner buildings along with a fire hydrant as whatever white liquid the thing was holding inside started leaking out and about with Jake getting the worst of the spillage as he tried to help the woman driver get to safety.
Resulting in him coughing like a seventy year old smoker who's ben chain smoking a pack since they were twelve while his clothes started melting from whatever the heck he was stepping in along with his vision starting to double as well as a dark and creepy voice started cackling.
Along with that came a headache from hell as everything started spinning and ringing to the point that Jake thought someone spiked his drink again or swapped it out for alcohol before Doc oc started his attack and the ringing certainly didn't help either.
Thankfully Jake managed to get the drive away just as the thing blew up for some reason before he passed out face first in between something soft before blacking out as the ringing seemed to get louder like it was fighting whatever seemed to be laughing.
When Jake finally woke up he was back home which he found more than a little odd considering it would breach all kinds of protocol for unknown chemical spills that Norman Osborn railed to enact for the betterment of all.
Jake started sprinting towards his family bathroom just as his little sister was about to go in as she started banging the door and screaming that it was her turn.
Haley: "ITS NOT FAIR I WAS HERE FIRST!"
Jake: "WELL YOU HAVE YOUR OWN BATHROOM AND MOM AND DADS SO GO USE ONE OF THEM!"
Haley: "(Blows raspberry) YOU SUCK (kicks the door)!"
Jake: "LOVE YOU TOO! (Rungs over to mirror) What the?"
Jake: "(Groans) Dammit! Was hoping something would be different."
???: "(Dark demonic) *Laughs* always wanted to be different..."
Jake: "Yea I (looks around) okay I swear if that was you Haley I'm going to steal your candy!"
But there was nothing other than him, the sink, shower/tub, and mirror that made Jake wonder if what happened yesterday was a dream as he had no marks or anything and aside from that weird voice that could have been his sister getting back at him nothing seemed to be out of place.
After a shower and some jell Jake left the bathroom and started eating breakfast as his mom placed everything down before heading off to help those in need with the rich mom's she managed to befriend. As his dad gobbled everything up and sped out of the house while dropping everything he was carrying as he rushed out in a hurry causing him to make multiple trips to make sure he got everything before leaving for real this time.
Both Jake and Haley groan at the sight of their father as they both dig into eggs, bacon, and toast as Jake makes it into a sandwich he take and eat while on the go as Haley just eats it all as is before going to school herself.
After the siblings said their goodbye's Jake started eating his little sandwich only to discover that he couldn't taste a dang thing and worse yet was the only he could even get any sort of taste from was the bacon and that was like pouring some juice on his tongue.
As Jake wondered just what the heck was going on he felt someone slap his back and knew only one person would do that as he turned around.
Jake: "Harry! Still living on the edge I see."
Harry: "Well you know gotta live life like no other."
Next to him was of course Penny Parker Harry's best mate since forever along with Mary Jane following up from behind the two looking dazzling in the sun but that's probably what she was after being the oh so lover of attention she was.
(A/n Ignore all the spider suit stuff since I couldn't find a single picture that matched what I was looking for.)
MJ: "Hey guys! Seen my commercial on T.V. lately?"
Jake: "Yes I've seen your beauty cream commercial and might I say you (sneers) make for an amazing witch."
MJ: "(Squeezes Jake's butt and face with an annoyed look on her face) T-H-A-N-K Y-O-U F-O-R T-H-A-T!"
Jake: "No problem (smiles like a demon) I'll always be there to help you."
MJ kicks Jake's behind as he stumbles in front of Gwen and Felica as they talk to Eddie and Flash about something before getting very tight lipped the second Jake enters their range.
Gwen: "Are you okay?"
Jake: "(Pats his behind) Yea just MJ being MJ (looks back to see MJ stickering her tongue at him as she Penny, and Harry leave)."

Felica: "Gwen! Come on were going to be late!"
Gwen: "Oh, sorry (pats Jake on the head) hope that helped."
As the two girls walk away Jake sees Eddie and Flash stare daggers at him but Jake just shrugs it off as he continues to go about his day.... or so he would have liked but for some reason he could no longer control his body as it started walking towards Eddie and Flash.
???: "(Dark Demonic) Must... PAY!"
Jake inside mind: "Nope x 1000!"
Once Jake, Eddie, and Flash all come together face to face, Jake thankfully gets control of his body once again and keeps on walking past the two since while he wasn't afraid of them he knew that nothing good would come from ticking even one of them off or face the wrath of their boyfriend.
School for the most part was overall the same with Penny disappearing seemingly almost every other hour but the teacher always letting it go for some reason with them getting pissed off at Jake for getting kidnapped yesterday and missing the test because of it.
With the strangest thing happening would be the voice talking to him some times, his eyes glowing white at random points when looking at anything reflective, and people tripping a lot more around him than before.
When it was lunch time Jake got only meat which was strange for him since he liked having a balanced meal but that was the only thing his body seemed to grab along with it being the only thing he could actually eat if the morning was to go off anything.
Penny: "Are you okay? You don't usually eat like this."
Jake: "(Devours all the meat in front of him all under a minute) Yea I'm good."
Everyone at his table just looked at him in shock and awe at what they had just seen to the point that Jake started wondering if time had stopped for them from how still they had become with it all stopping once Jake smiled and gave MJ a hug from behind with a firm squeeze as revenge for earlier.
Of course this resulted in him getting slapped around by all three girls and some of the guys before it was all done and when school was done Penny ran off to work at the daily bugle which annoyed Jake tremendously as he and Spiderwoman were the worst things about living in New York to him.
The reason being the fact he hated how Spiderwoman would just let J.J.J say whatever he wanted about her and have it actually affect her for the rest of the day or even the week which resulted in others feeling bad as well since J.J.J would always make them question what they thought of their "favorite" superhero.
As everyone left to do their own thing Jake went all the way over to the local construction site and started helping out since he was a passing C grade student and the only thing he knew he could ever really count on was his body. And so long as he didn't do anything bad or illegal than no one would say a thing or even question him as they all just start assuming him to be a dwarf or midget that needs some cash.
???: "(Dark Demonic) Slave... Labor..."
Jake: "Shut up!"
The voice seems to laugh as Jake continues working before getting his school work done inside the break room area used by the foreman as two hulking black creatures appear as Spiderwoman swings a bell around at them causing both monsters and Jake to scream in pain.
Jake barley able to stand walks out the office and wanders into the streets of Hell's Kitchen and worst of all it was one of the many different alleyways that populated the place which made him a very easy mark for those watching.
As the crooks get closer to Jake he feels something in his chest start hurting before getting smacked around by the thugs that were surrounding him with the first hit being a knockout for most people as it was a crowbar to skull.
The next thing Jake new however was that he was rising above all the thugs and that his hands had become pure white and that he was as tall as a street lamp as the crooks ran away in fear and terror at the mere sight of Jake.
Along with that came the voice but it sounded louder and was coming from his own mouth this time as it began attacking those in front of it with the same glee he did when smashing things together as a mere child.
Which was what the muggers had looked like to Jake in his new form but the most unexpected thing of all was when he killed them all with his own hands save for the one that wacked him over the head with the crowbar earlier.
Crowbar mugger: "P-please! I have a family!"
???: "(Smiles like a demon and speaks dark and demonic) And maybe they can join you."
Crowbar mugger: "Wha-"
Before Jake could understand what even happened he had bitten the head of the mugger along with most of his upper body to the point that there was no way to get a match on who he was other than the singular arm he had left behind.
Making things even worse than that however was the fact that Jake actually enjoyed consuming a human... the very thought alone allowed him to gain back control of whatever killed those men before as he reached into his home and started barfing into the toilet.
Of course since his tongue was also longer than before it resulted in him tasting some toilet water which made him throw up even more all while the voice continued laughing like a mad man the entire time.
When Jake finally stands up he feels everything go back to normal as he shrinks back down to normal size he rushes over to the mirror and sees himself but white with black accents here and there with the sadistic smile on his other sides face.
Jake: "What. Are. You?"
???: "I'm you! But everything you keep repressed (throws hands up and goes woop woop) and man while I haven't been alive that long I gotta say I love teenagers as you have so much you keep repressed to the point that I'm here! I'm alive! I'm my own man inside your dark and twisted little head. (Turns into the monster form and goes from talking normally to dark and demonic) And I'm here to stay!"
Jake: "... What is it you can do?"
Ekaj: "Well like you saw we can become our true self, walk and climb just about anywhere, all those little problems you had whether you knew about them or not are now fixed even the other you that came before me."
Jake: "Hey! I have no problems when it comes to that set of talents."
Ekaj: "Don't lie to me, I am you and no matter what you think or say about yourself (points to head) I know the darkest truth that you refuse to embrace about yourself. (Smiles like a demon once more before he continues listing off powers) No matter if your in this form or our true form everything about your physical body is enhanced, and since I live rent free inside your head I can help you see everything that your eyes are too focused on to see."
Jake: "What the heck does that mean."
Ekaj: "Like where your eyes linger on those you've given up on but still dream about every night since you started to get the urges."
Jake: "(Crosses his arms) Every guy does that."
Ekaj: "Yes but I can tell when they notice along with ways to help you get with them if you want and trust me I know that you in fact do."
Jake: "(Rolls his eyes) Whatever, is that all."
Ekaj: "Well I can also make you white and black clothes... though mostly white along with (waves his hand past his face and reveals Harry's face along with sounding like him) We can change our face and voice if need be."
Jake: "Is there anything you're bad at?"
Ekaj: "(Shrugs) I've only been alive since the accident with the chemical spill."
Jake: "Also what do you mean true self?"
Ekaj: "Simple when we first became one I did as I pleased with your body for a bit to make sure you didn't die which result in the big guy you know and will soon come to love. But after looking around I realized that wouldn't fly with the rest of the world so I but us back together like before with the only thing being permeant (turns around and reveals back with giant black spider mark) this will never go away and its also on the front but can be changed to look like normal."
Jake: "Then why not just get rid of it?"
Ekaj: "Because this is where the concentrated chemical is on you. If you try taking it off aka separating us then we both die."
While the two were talking about various things Jake began wondering what he should do with his life now. I mean there's no way he can go back to being normal if he has to constantly eat meat since it's the only thing that seemed to have any flavor anymore.
Along with the apatite and desire for human flesh Jake was going to have a very hard life in the future especially if he were to run into Spiderwoman which would only be a manner of time since they both live in New York and unless something major happens he's eventually going to be found out every time he turns humans into sushi.
Jake just goes to his room with all his stuff he managed to grab on the way and starts resting as best he could as he thinks about everything he had basically just told himself and how he got his powers along with the two black creatures that looked sort of like him at the construction sight.
Jake: "(Sighs) there's goes that job for a while."
Eventually Jake manages to fall asleep and inside his dream he stood in between a corridor where left was white with black doors and right was black with white doors and every door he opened was something he knew or dreamed up in the past or was something completely new about himself.
In one of the rooms that he knew of himself stood him in his monster form fighting Spiderwoman which wasn't that uncommon since he's always wanted to fight them to see how good they really were in combat, across the hall from that was the same thing but with a different kind of fighting that he's only heard of before seeing his own mind come up with it.
It didn't get any better in the doors that followed as they seemed to form a pattern which was what he wanted and showed as much to everyone else and then the door besides it would show something else that no matter what he tried to say he couldn't argue that those weren't his thoughts.
The worst of it all to him however was the rooms with his friends where one was them all sitting on a park bench enjoyed central park to the best of their abilities with Flash and Eddie being around since they were almost always with Gwen and Felica.
With the door next to it being something similar but the men were sitting down a bit away as he was in the center with MJ, Penny, Gwen, and Felica all having the time of their lives being together which caused Jake to wake up with a sweat.
Jake: "That's not true I would never do that."
Ekaj: "While you may not do it (dark demonic) Its still something you've thought more than once inside your head."
Jake: "(Groans as he looks and sees it still two hours till morning) This is never going to get better is it?"
Ekaj: "Depends on how you want to treat it. Since no matter how you may see us we are still you and all your darkest parts manifested to become another voice inside your head."
