Begin Again

The Amazing White-Spider

As Penny Parker AKA Spiderwoman swings around New York city helping any and everyone that may need her help she hears the ghastly screeching of someone in distress. And if not for the encounter she had last week she'd assume whoever was screaming to be woman and Penny would rather not have to deal with that whole debacle again.

Penny swings on by and onto one of the corner store buildings as she looks around to see who was screaming as her suits system starts up and begins scanning the entire area until she manages to find three likely areas where the screaming might have been coming from.

The three areas she found where an alley way in between a pizza shop and a gym of all places, what appeared to be a traffic jam but since its New York who knows if that's all it was, and the last was obviously out as it was a group of people helping someone move and the noise could have been anything.

Taking a guess Spiderwoman heads towards the alleyway and her guess was right as a woman was on the ground crying next to three very bloody corpses of two men in walls and one shark bitten person on the floor.

Spiderwoman lands on the ground next to the crying biker clad woman with the face of a man who tries to stab Spiderwoman but thanks to her spider-sense she was able to dodge out of the way in time and web the woman's? hands together.

Spiderwoman: "Please Miss calm down (pats her on the back) Now can you tell me what happened?"

Woman?: "(Talks in a sultry yet masculine voice) Well I just finished my work out routine and was going to check up on old Tony next door to see if he needed any more help with moving things around since he brook his back. (Sobs) I came out back as I have a key in case of emergencies and I noted these poor men like this. (Looks up at Spiderwoman who was patting her on the back and rubbing her shoulder) Sorry for attacking earlier I was just defending myself in case whatever did this came back for seconds."

Spiderwoman: "It's alright, I mean (scans the area and takes pictures with her visor) there's not a lot of things in New York that can do this and almost all of them are creatures I'd never want to fight again."

As she says that Spiderwoman on reflex moves her shoulders around as if her body was remembering the pain of getting dislocated and then having to pop it right back into place.

Looking around the area Spiderwoman realizes that almost everyone she knows that could have done this are all impossible for this particular crime as there weren't much if any signs for any of them. In fact it looks more like a Hulk werewolf creature had done this more than anyone she knew as there weren't any scratches, broken walls or anything else broken except for the bodies, no indents on the ground or walls except of course for the bodies, and there was nothing around them to give her any idea which of her villains could have done this.

Worst of all was the DNA sample she got from whatever remained of the body and couldn't find a trace on anything human, animal, robot, or anything else she's seen before as the reaction she was getting from it was just a tone of unknown chemical agents mixed together.

In fact from what she could tell it seemed a lot more than instead of something eating this man they instead just melted them and sucked up whatever was left and made it seem like it was bitten instead.

However Spiderwoman couldn't stick around any longer as her job at the bugle was about to start and if she arrived late one more time than Mr.Jameson was going to have her take pictures of the city and its local people again.

She didn't mind doing so if not for the fact that it wasn't interesting at all and their was also the many stares she would get whenever she walked around the place with the people nearby seeming to know that she couldn't leave without finding something worth while.

Thankfully she manages to make it just in time for her to change her outfit and still have enough time to bring in coffee and doughnuts to the editors room as Jameson was in the middle of connecting the dots on the all the damages the recent chemical spill that she helped cause was doing to the city.

And sure he didn't know his youngest intern was Spiderwoman and that hearing all this was the reason she seemed gloomy all the time but Jameson was a man that she and almost everyone respected in the Bugle as he was someone who would and has stared death in the face if it meant the people heard the truth no matter how terrible it might have been.

Penny went around as she gave everyone their coffees and treats before filling up the pot that was for Jameson's personal use as he drank enough coffee that going without a single sip of it would cause him to get the shakes.

Looking at the bulletin board and string board and sees what was in them along with why Otto was as angry as he was at both Norman and Alchemax along with wanting to expose them for everything. Making matters even stranger however were the reports she saw about the different colors of goo with one of them fitting the two men shaped creatures she fought yesterday at one of the many construction sites.

The strangest thing however was seeing how out of all the tankers and their different sizes, each one of them seemed to have a different type of sludge leaking out or around whatever remained for all of them... except for one.

Asking to be able to look around the area Jameson waves a go ahead as he continued looking through his notes while everyone else wrote their stories as Penny began swinging on towards the area of the crash that gave seemed to be the only place without anything leaking out.

Of course by the time she got there the place had been sectioned off on all fronts by hazmat teams and Oscorp guards all around the area making it hard for even her to sneak around causing her senses to flair up almost like her spider-sense.

But she was smart and new to give it up since it wasn't even worth it as everything she could see was what she wanted to anyway, as the pictures of the other areas had the sludge cause destruction in some way or another the area but besides the crash this place looked normal.

Heck it honestly didn't seem like their was anything dangerous in the area that wasn't normal for the area to begin with.

So Penny swung on back to the Bugle and helped out as much as she could before the day ended and Jameson gave her fifty bucks for the day like always since it was his motto to give what you have taken. And since he knows how tough working there is along with how skilled Penny was he didn't want some other area to take her without a fight at the very least!

Once home Penny said her hello's to Aunt May and the picture of Uncle Ben that was hanging on the wall with a much younger Aunt May seeming to be as happy as can be, Penny then begins looking through the kitchen and makes herself something light to eat as she got to work on both her homework for school and for her super activities.

The school work wasn't that hard and took about twenty minutes to complete everything but the real hard part came with her super job as she started practicing what she used to be able to do with ease but now had to struggle with like climbing any surface, lifting anything she wanted in her room with ease or at the very least needing to hands to do so but now has to use both hands to lift everything heavy.

Once she finished making sure she was still loosing her powers, Penny wrote her daily log of events as she groaned along with wondering just what the heck was happening to her as she couldn't place which fight caused her downfall or if any of them speed up whatever was happening to her.

Penny then opens up one of her cupboards and sees a picture of her, MJ, Uncle Ben, Aunt May, Norman, Harry and their late mother at the fair that would introduce her to Gwen and Felica along with being the last day of happiness for any of them for a very long while.

Penny then gets changes into what she can only label as gothic underwear than MJ, Gwen, and Felica gave her last time they all went shopping as they knew she had a liking to spider stuff and gave her just web laced things that if anyone saw her in she'd just die!

After that she flopped on her bed and took off her web launchers to charge after making sure she had enough cartridges stored up for tomorrow along with back ups and reserves just in case she ever needed them.

The next at school was a little strange... well less strange than yesterday when Jake ate an entire trey of meat in the time it took any of them to blink and then him squeezing MJ but weird non the less as it was RAINBOW WEEK!!!

A week filled with random acts that everyone at school had to follow as which ever grade did the best would get a day off from school and instead spend the entire day at either a pizza place, the pier, or at "PlayLand the biggest arcade this side of the Mississippi" or so their aids say.

And the challenges were always random as in at the end of every previous Rainbow week the students that did the worst would make up challenges that may get selected next year if they were deemed appropriate enough.

The challenge of the day was that everyone would have to wear one of the many Superhero shirts and pretended to be them for the day with no one allowed to act any other way including the principle who instead of wearing his usual suit was now wearing ripped jean pants as he got the hulk.

Penny's shirt was Spiderwoman along with her entire group for some reason, well except for Jake who instead got Wolverine but he seemed to be fine for the most part which seemed to upset her quite a bit even though she didn't really know why.

Things went down hill for her and Jake however as the same feeling continued to grow whenever she saw how fun he seemed to be having as Wolverine to the point she almost let it slip that she knew the real guy and how much of a jerk he was in real life.

However she managed to calm herself down mostly because Harry and Flash were fighting/ Flash was bullying Harry once again which took up a lot of her time and if that wasn't bad enough then Felica seeming to try and corrupt Gwen to do something with Eddie made Penny realize being a single mother was like and just hating it.

To the point that she honestly wondered why Aunt May even kept her around sometimes especially when she knew full well that she was being annoying or stuck up about something that even Penny knew was pointless in the end.

But no matter how annoyed she was about any of them she still thought it was fun and enjoyable even if it all had to end prematurely as Conners had broken out once again and it was up to her to solve everything.

However when she got there she wasn't the only one there as the two black creatures with a white spider on their chest had also arrived with a monstrous looking white one with a black spider on its chest standing above them all on a water tower.

And that is all for now hope you all enjoyed and until next time stay safe and peace!
