When Ekaj finally awakens, he is lying down next to Jake as both versions of themselves look at the other and just stare in confusion since neither of them knows which one is taking control and who is watching everything in the back seat.
The two continued lying down next to each other for probably a solid hour or so, given how the sun had barely begun shining through the window to the room and now it was shining almost as bright as a neon bomb... although that may just be the sun and a neon sign mixing with one another.
Eventually, however, Logan seemed to have had enough of the man's crap and full on knocked the door off its hinges, damn near breaking it in the process of doing so as he smokes a cigar on his lips while having some of his own homemade skewers made with his claws.
Logan: "Alright, listen up, Bub, you've rested long enough, and I want my bed back, so (grabs Jake/Ekaj by the collar of what used to be a shirt and threw him out the nearest window) SCATT!"
Logan yelled out his window as he violently slammed his window shut, while also loudly, to the point even Jake/Ekaj could hear them moving from the ground floor they were now laying on, and given how Wolverine had made food, he either didn't want Jake/Ekaj sleeping anymore, or maybe he wanted his bed for another purpose.
Jake: "Welp, let's go and do some other stuff before that image gets burned into my mind."
Ekaj: "Same."
The two get up by my of white spears shooting out their back and forcing them on their feet as they begin walking through the streets of New York in search of people to save, symbiotes to eat, or criminals in need of "saving.".
BUT FIRST A QUICK TRIP TO THE LOCAL MALL! Since Jake/Ekaj is in desperate need of some clothes that aren't all torn up and could also hopefully double as either intimidating or at least interesting clothes to catch the eyes of others.
Rushing towards the mall with the speed of a fat man running after donuts as Jake was destroying his feet from how he usually walks + all the random damages the symbiotes and hero's + villain battles have done to this city.
Thankfully, somehow the local mall seemed to be oddly empty given how many times malls are often dead zones where monsters seem to be appearing out of the shadows, or they become a kingdom for refugees that are just trying to stay safe and alive.
Heck, there wasn't even a speck of destruction inside the place, which anyone in a New York mall could tell you was amazing in its own right, let alone when there was mass hysteria and panic because the place became a freaking battleground for some alien-looking monsters.
Coming out of the finest clothing store, Jake/Ekaj were very impressed with their look, even if it did make them look a whole lot weaker and somehow younger because of it, but they didn't really care that much and were happy to see something that'd help them stand out.
Jake: "The fact this simple crap would have cost someone damn near a thousand dollars honestly shocks me."
Ekaj: "At least it's breathable and easy to move in compared to all the other things they have here."
Realizing how amazing this chance might be, Jake/Ekaj begin to go on a "shopping" spree and visit all the places they'd normally never be able to visit unless they've saved and struggled for a year or have been a very good boy all year round and hope and pray he get a chance to visit.
The first stop is a Men's Accessories, where the boys grab themselves a watch, but not just any old watch—the latest and greatest smartwatch created by Stark Industries, along with the smart AR glasses that go with it, because why not?
Once that's done, he goes and grabs himself a normal-looking backpack and takes some extra pairs of clothes, among other things, and places them in the backpack and gives them names passed off from old arcade fighting characters for fun and to help him remember what's inside.
Spinning around and skating across the land, Jake/Ekaj eventually comes across his final stop, a plush store, where he grabs a little plushy that would be used to resemble his relationship with friends along with his relationship with his family as a sort of thank-you gift for putting up with him all these years.
Seeing as how he's getting more into the superhero game, and as he doesn't know when he might die, if ever, he wants to at least give them all something to remember him by, besides his will and all the memories that came with it.
Grabbing them all, Jake/Ekaj eventually made his way outside only to immediately be met by a large Black Man in a yellow top smashing into him and his bags so hard into the mall's brick wall outside that Jake/Ekaj swears he heard something crack but doesn't know what.
While some symbiote-possessed man wearing green tights and a yellow mask seemed to be trying his best to fight back against the creature, with only half his head, his entire right arm, and a bit of his torso where said arm was connected seemed to be under its control.
??? Black Man: "Fight it! I know you're stronger than this!"
??? Green tights man: "I AM! (Grunts and yells in pain) But even I have limits that I'm forced to overcome because of this thing!"
Just then, out of nowhere, the yellowish-black hand started whirling up some darkish yellow energy ball into its hand and slammed its fist straight into the Black Man once more, causing Jake/Ekaj to grunt in pain as the Black Man in yellow was currently on top of their body, acting as a giant weight.
This, however, came with the added benefit (for Ekaj, that is) of both their bloods, or at least one blood, flowing directly onto their body, which gets absorbed from the arm into the symbiote body like some sort of vampiric sponge.
And again out of nowhere, some dark, gothic, lolita-dress-wearing woman just suddenly came in and bashed the two boys with two freaking cars! And not just any cars but ones that looked quite heavy, seeing as how they were freaking trucks that carry cargo containers.
??? Lolita Goth: "(Yelling as she repeatedly hits them over and over again with the two trucks) Can you two idiots stop messing around and have me act like your mothers all the damn time!?"
??? Black Man: "Sorry, babe."
??? Green Tights: "Not like I can help it, but I guess I'll try, (he said whilst wheezing and panting in pain)."
From what either of them could tell, the Gothic Lolita girl slammed the giant trucks into each of them one more time before throwing the trucks away, which landed right into a nearby bank that I'm sure no one will miss being repaired, as from the looks of it, the things already been picked clean.
As the truck alarms finally stopped blaring, the Gothic Lolita-wearing woman grabbed both men by the ear and began dragging them through the city, and seeing as how the Black Man in yellow never said a word when getting beaten upside the head with a semi truck but began doing so when getting pulled, she must not have been holding back even to her boo.
When Jake/Ekaj finally got up, they felt their entire body and bones begin to break apart and reform at the same time while their fists and feet felt like they were burning with a heat more powerful than the Human Torch's as he felt like his body was breaking apart or peeling itself from heat.
All while at the same time he felt the chill ice flow through the rest of his body like it was becoming literal cold blooded to the point he began being able to see his own breath as if it were Winter instead of Spring!
Making things worse or more interesting for Jake/Ekaj had to be that when they touched the car with both their hands, they turned pure white like his beast side, as the side that Jake touched was slowly melting while the side Ekaj touched was breaking apart like brittle fragments of ice.
Stumbling around the place Jake just realizes that they might have just broken their brand-new watch, but just as he began to worry, they reappeared onto him and even turned on as they didn't have any power inside them when he grabbed them.
Ekaj: "Don't worry; with the help of the purple symbiote, anything tech can just (waves his hand over the watch and Jake's eyes) disappear or reappear. I mean, how do you think you lost the Fantastic Four suit we stole?"
Ekaj held his hand up, but Jake tried to stop him since they just got these clothes, and while yes, they have a few holes already in them, that's just something he's had to get used to living in New York and everything.
Heck, the day this all started, Jake just bought himself some nice new shoes that were black and white, and he thought they were all cool since they could double as dress shoes if you didn't look at them hard enough.
But when Doc Ock napped him and all the others for whatever game he was planning, he lost both shoes, one because of the height and the other must have burnt off from the chemicals or something, as Jake has no clue what happened to it at all.
Ekaj: "Don't worry; I was just messing with myself. I mean, we both know how hard it is to get nice clothes, especially ones that'd normally cost an arm and a leg to get (whistles like a hot girl just walked by)."
Without waiting for even a second more, Jake tried his best to conjure the watch, and it was a bit disgusting, to be perfectly honest, seeing it slowly peel and break out of his skin and slowly transform into the watch.
But once he did, the watch and his mind seemed to be in sync as it quickly pulled up the site from Logan's little phone or whatever it actually was and began tracking everything around them, and when Jake looked up, he saw giant purple markers everywhere above.
Not wanting to waste any time, Jake quickly dashes through a nearby alleyway and uses one of his white tendrils to grapple himself up to the top and even further as he makes his way up the water tower and takes in the sight before him.
Waving his hand past the purple markers, some become green for the areas he's already visited, while others begin to turn red for ones that seem to be reported as having been lost, while the few that remained stayed purple as there wasn't any information on them.
Jake: "So, *Claps his hands together like it's winter and he's trying to warm them up.* Which side should we take first?"
Ekaj: "I suggest the side far away from the giant yellow monster. *Distant roars can be heard from their left.* As I and most certainly you are nowhere even strong enough to face off against that."
Both versions of the same man nod their heads as they slide down the fire escape and begin making their way towards the right side of the giant city, all without realizing that they were getting closer to where Flash and Eddy had wanted him to go just a day ago when they took him.
But that is a story for a later date, dear readers; as for now, I shall let you all know this: all the plushies and other such things that Jake had taken from the mall eventually managed to find their way to SHIELD, but not just SHIELD; it went directly to Fury, who just had a single note with a giant blue eye creature with little black wings.
[Hope this makes it worth sending to my family and friends who are safe, like you said... Also, good luck with your little hunt, Mr. EYE. 😊]
Fury: "*Crumbles the note.* This is why I hate these freelance heroes. *Throws the note into a garbage bin that immediately incinerates the note in blue fire,* always trying to be extra."
However, even as he said that, he was sealing his little plush doll inside its own little case with a tiny Helicarrier that Fury couldn't help but smile at whenever he saw it, like he was looking right at a cat as they just existed cute in his eyes.
Storming out of his office, Fury calls for some SHIELD agents to come and sort out all this stuff, as even though it wasn't part of their agreement, Fury was still going to try his best since, in his own words, he was "a people person."
And that is all for now hope you all enjoyed and until next time stay safe and peace!
