As Jake or rather Ekaj chased Black Cat all across the city they both began to wonder, Why? Why the heck was she doing this and most of all why did she seem to be having the time of her life as Ekaj tried to kill her?
Ekaj: "GIVE IT BACK (swings his fist where Black Cat was)!"
Black Cat lands on a nearby apartment ledge and smiles at the white symbiote creature in front of her as she blows a kiss at him before taking out a tiny envelope from her chest and then throws it at Ekaj.
Black Cat: "This was fun but I honestly don't really need nor want something as small time as that, so toodles (wiggles her fingers as she walks into the building)."
The White Symbiote creature slams its hand down on the roof of the building it was on in anger after being forced to chase after this... this broad! Only to then be given what she took back near the end for nothing more than pity!
Jake: "Well, at least we got it back."
Ekaj: "And it WILL! BE the last time anything like that ever happens again!"
White spider then begins running and jumping off building as he swings with his giant tentacle like arms across the city somewhat like spiderman thanks to the tiny blood he got from Reed Richards and putting in some time to practice.
Once he was back inside his house and reverted to his normal look did Jake empty out the little packet Black Cat had stolen and revealed that it was some Spider-woman pins among a punch of other ones that Penny had given him over the years.
Jake: "I really should have kept this somewhere safer."
Ekaj: "(Talks through mirror) Our father makes routine trips as a safety inspector to city hall, we could just... alter or make certain plans disappear and use them to have a safe place. Or actually use the money we took from those robbers and live a better life!"
Jake: "NO! (Slams his dresser shut as he tries to hide the the envelope underneath all the random crap he keeps in there.) Were not destroying anymore lives! I refuse to even try to make someone else live either a more dangerous or worse life than my own all for the sake of instant happiness and comfort."
Ekaj rolls his eyes as Jake gets ready to break his mirror but ultimately decides not to as there would be no reason to do so since he could just talk to him as is and only does so from reflections so can see him judging his other half.
Haley: "Jake (knocks on door) are you okay?"
Jake: "Yea (puts on a red jacket Haley gave him last year) just thought I lost something."
Ekaj: "Like your freedom, your sanity, or how about (smiles like a demon) your privacy."
Ekaj starts laughing like a mad man as Jake tries his best to reset the urge to break his mirror before eventually calming down and opening his door to let his sister in.
Haley: "You're things still beeping."
Jake starts running towards Haley's room where he left his "baby" since she wanted to play with the thing and Jake needed some time alone to try and control Ekaj or whatever the white symbiote is.
Heading to bed for real this time tonight Jake holds his baby as close as he feels was necessary while trying to fall asleep as Ekaj kept making it hard to fall asleep or even peacefully dream to the point Jake felt like he's been awake ever since this thing started talking to him!
As Jake "slept" he saw what he could only describe as the souls of those he's eaten not asking for revenge or anything but instead being forced to live out the very last moments of their lives over and over and over and over, again and again with them all trying to do something different but end up always getting eaten.
Feeling a cool breeze Jake turned around to see his family in central park having a little picnic and enjoying themselves as in the distance there were some homeless men hanging around the bathrooms lighting it up amongst themselves while eyeing Jake's younger sister.
Ekaj: "(Appears wearing all white like Moon Knight along with a black skull on his chest) You know this is all your fault."
Jake: "(Standing next to Ekaj wearing all black except for a white jacket) Shut up I was ten (Jake's family all get younger with Haley going from 14 years old to 8 years old) how was I supposed to know what they were going to do."
Ekaj: "You could have told our parents (rubs Jakes shoulders) You could have told them that some weird smelly old men were hanging out near the bathrooms and then your sister would be fine."
Jake: "SHE'S FINE NOW! (Gets ready to punch Ekaj only for him to have disappeared as the rest of the world goes dark with a single flashing light appearing.)"
Ekaj: "(Talks from a white shadow behind Jake) We both now that's not the case, I mean think about it. When was the last time she truly left the house? When was the last time you ever heard her talk about being friends with someone."
Jake: "SHUT UP! (Kneels down on the floor as he holds his head) please... just shut up and let me sleep for once."
Ekaj: "(Holds Jake's head up and forces him to watch) Oh, but this is the best part, I mean this is when you truly gave up on other people, and yet I'm the bad guy for wanting to make them useful in some way."
What appears before Jake and Ekaj is a young Jake fighting and killing a bunch of homeless men that were planning on selling off his sister and maybe something else, but thankfully Jake managed to get there in time...
But also unthankfully the Avengers appeared far too late for either siblings to remain the same as they once were with the flashing light marking "DECIVER" "WIDOWER" and "WEAK" on all members of the Avengers in bold red marks.
Jake: "They were just-"
Ekaj: "Yes, they were just doing there best (smacks them all away as everything changes to a news media with the Avengers making announcement on their thoughts of some new Spider-girl that was making rounds on social media.) But we both know that's a lie! As you and your sister were trying your best to survive these "HERO'S" as you and the rest of the world make them out to be were off probably celebrating the destruction of yet another city or city block as they managed to catch or stop one guy."
Jake: "They just appeared there was no way for them to know!"
Ekaj: "(Everything changes to space as both Jake and Ekaj are side by side an Avengers satellite) Oh, please they had this baby long in the air before their first public appearance, they just didn't care enough to go first as that wouldn't give them the fame they wanted."
Jake: "You're wrong!"
Ekaj: "Am I? I mean (Appears in front of Jake as everything goes dark with a giant mirror appears with lights all around it) I'm just you. And if I think these things then (knocks on mirror) so... do... you."
As Jake wakes up panting and sweating he could faintly hear Ekaj laughing as Jake gets out of bed and gets ready for the day as he leaves everyone to go to his little hideaway to a different approach.
Ekaj: "What you think you don't need me, is that it?"
Jake: "(Grabs his skateboard and starts riding the sidewalk) I never did and I certainly don't need you now."
Way, WAY! in the distance of the city stood a floating platform that almost no one knew about except for Jake and his skater friends Trixie and Spud who sadly weren't around much anymore thanks to the most recent appearance of Doc Oc.
Since then both of them left New York for a bit until both of them could hopefully convince their parents to move back but that probably wouldn't happen for maybe another two years since this had happened many times before.
For now none of that mattered as it meant that Jake had a little base off the coast a bit that no one else knew about which made it the perfect place to try and figure out how to work out his body problems.
Jake: "Okay I left the baby at Felica's house and I have about six hours before I have to return home as they still believe I have a job."
Stepping into a nearby cave Jake barely manages to squeeze his way through the crevices and wonders once more why he couldn't just make the thing bigger so he wouldn't get stuck every time he tried to get into this place.
But then he'd remember that it was a secret place for the three of them so even if he wanted to get rid of them (which he didn't as it was a secret base after all) he'd have to get permission from Trixie and Spud first.
Once inside the cave Jake threw his backpack and jacket on the couch they found and now owned with a black dragon logo, a frog with alien head logo, and black star with white wings on it that represented each of them and where they usually sat.
Jake grabs the ladder to get up to the next step where they had placed a zipline on it as he grabbed his mostly white with a red dragon surfboard on it and held it between his legs as he started flying through the air and onto the floating platform.
Landing on the floating platform, Jake starts rolling around on the floor as he groans and wonders why it seemed only he had bad luck when using the zip line every... single... time, he freaking used the stupid thing!
Once on the platform Jake sets up a couple of different cans and bottles he picked up off the beach for a couple weeks now and started using them as target practice as he tried to use a single bit of the symbiote as a giant whip he could control.
Jake does everything he could do from doing little dances, to posing like a mad man, heck at one point he started doing different things with his hands with one of them being that of heavy metal as Jake wondered what the heck he was doing with his life.
Ekaj: "(Appears in front of the bottles) You know, you'll never be a hero without me."
Jake: "Don't really want to be a hero (ties some plastic bottles together with duct tape) just trying to figure out how to shut you up."
Jake then starts running towards his make shift target range and act like he going to throw something which he does with it being a white tendril that just flops to the ground before it could even reach the bottles.
Jake: "Guess I'm gonna have to pull a Penny and science the heck out this if I'm ever going to figure out how it works."
Ekaje: "Or become the beast you truly want to be and then you'd have access to all your power."
Jake: "NO! I can do this without relying on you or becoming that monster I turn into."
For the next few hours Jake begins working on trying to use the white tentacle things like whips as he uses them to strike the bottles and cans as much as he could but after finally figuring out how to hit the bottles and cans without missing, Jake comes to a realization.
That he could only ever really use these things as an extended punch, which does track since he could only even do it because of the little blood he got from Reed Richards which just made him able to stretch the white symbiote enough to somewhat resemble Spider-woman swinging through the city.
Feeling like he was going to get as good as he could get Jake rides his surfboard with a pully mechanism that would bring him back to the cave without really getting wet, which was very good when you didn't really want others to know where you were going.
However once he got inside the cave he noticed that some giant lizard thing was sniffing around the place and from the looks of what he could barely make out as a very dirty lab coat, let Jake know that it was time to run.
Ekaj: "Why are you running! We could take this guy!"
Jake: "Yea no thanks! No matter what you do I would rather not have anything to do with the one thing in all of New York that actually scares me since he wants to make everyone lizard people."
Probably not a good idea to have yelled as the Lizard man was alerted to his presence and started running after him from the wall, ceiling, where ever he could manage to sink his claws into is what the Lizard man latched onto as he chased after Jake.
With Jake just barely managing to make his way out of the cave, which didn't even do much to stop him as Conners somehow managed to get through the gap with no problem and was standing right above Jake.
Conners: "(Sounding a bit British even though Conners was American) I say, while I was saving my appetite to eat a certain annoying spider (licks his lips) I could always go for a little snack to keep me in check, after all (maniacal laugh) I have been looking forward to this."
Jake throws some sand directly into the lizards eyes and starts running like the wind all the way back inside the city where he was tackled by the creature and pinned to a nearby wall as every car around them light him up like a Christmas tree while all the drives ran for their lives.
As Jake starts to pass out from Conners chocking him to death the last thing he sees is Spiderwoman swinging towards them both with Jake biting into Conners hand before waking up back home with nothing wrong with him and from the fact that no one said anything about what happed neither did they or at least were acting like they didn't.
