The Amazing White-Spider

Chapter 9 / 99

Lets GO HERO!

The Amazing White-Spider

A couple days after the finale project Jake is relaxing at his house working on his own little project, which was him trying to be a superhero as why not.

He has the powers and so long as he doesn't go full monster mode and use his powers in limited ways were he could still control them he should be able to help out Spider-Woman and the other people in New York.

It should at the very least be a lot better than being a villain with his powers as Jake has seen what evil could do to others and didn't feel like spreading the same feeling he felt to others and instead actually felt like helping others.

But how would he even do that exactly? I mean sure he could just beat up random bad guys like Spider-Woman but A) he didn't want to B) he was no where near friendly enough to be like Spider-Woman and C) he just didn't really want to be another Spider person.

Everyone wanted to be like Spiderwoman... or rather everyone in certain neighborhoods of New York wanted to be like Spiderwoman as she brought them all a sense of comfort, security, and most of all made them feel like they could actually be heard when in need.

Yea... Jake didn't want to do any of that sense he wasn't exactly the most... well likable person in his group of friends nor was he the type of person to feel bad for others whenever something bad had happened to them as he had just become numb to it all over the years.

However he was getting help from Penny and his friends to actually start caring and trying to understand others when they needed some help just as much as he did all those years ago like when Penny's Uncle Ben was killed by a mugging gone wrong.

Hearing that was the first time that Jake ever really felt like he had a connection with someone over despair as he could understand Penny's pain and why she started to isolate herself from everyone around her.

Now the main difference between everyone and Jake was that Jake was extremely and I mean worryingly extremely into the idea of Penny taking out the guy who took away Uncle Ben from her and Aunt May.

Thankfully Penny didn't do anything and Spider-Woman was there to save the day as she helped Penny and Aunt May get closer on Uncle Ben's killer... even if the man was out walking in about a month thanks to New York's legal system letting him get a plea bargain for turning on some bigger badder guy.

If only the Punisher had been in New York around that time then he'd show that criminal scum what happens when you break the law and cause harm to others. Sadly for Jake he could never say anything like this out loud as he's a wanted criminal from all the bad guys he's killed over the years as a Vigilante.

But none of that matters now as thanks to Haley Jake has finished making his spiderman suit or his White-Spider suit which the name may be basic beyond repair, it gets the job done and lets others know that he was like Spider-Woman but still his own man.

Jake: "And to think I could just get a normal Spider-Man costume and just paint a white spider on it (chuckles) life really is stupidly easy sometimes (puts on the costume with some difficulty)."

Ekaj: "You know if you wanted a super suit you could have just said so."

Jake: "(Barely puts the mask on as he holds a certain finger to wherever he thought Ekaj was) Shut it, I can handle this alone."

Ekaj: "News flash big guy, after the accident that gave you some powers it also made me so... you know... you're never *Whispers the last bit* truly alone anymore."

Jake stumbles out his window as he barely manages to web zip onto before hitting the pavement below.

Jake: "Okay, rule number one of being like Spider-Woman know where you are and where you can swing."

Ekaj: "I'd say that's rule number two after at least knowing how to fight or what type of hero you even want to be."

Trying to get the hang of swinging around the city Jake continues trying his best with about a twenty percent success rate. Who knew that most building in a city weren't made to grab onto or that there weren't that many places where he could web sling shot himself onto.

After about half a day of doing this Jake started to realize that not only was his arm starting to hurt like crazy but also his lower back started to hurt from all the constant sudden changes he had to in order to not eat walls and pavement more than he already had.

What hurt him even more however was the fact that everyone continued laughing at him even when he showed that he was much more unique than the average guy, and actually had some sort of power similar enough to Spider-Woman.

Not really knowing what to do Jake tried to go over to Penny's place but once he saw that oh, so familiar glow of the dining room light on and nothing else he already knew that Aunt May was up to something and he'd rather not know what she was doing in there.

Having no where else to really go Jake goes takes off the stupid costume that he made and starts walking around the city a bit until he eventually stumbles into Felica who seemed to be in a hurry to get somewhere and didn't feel like explaining why to Jake.

But being ever so curious Jake followed along anyway and found out that Felica had stolen a lot of peoples wallets and that she had her own little hole in the wall quite literally as the only thing making it even remotely private was a giant slab of metal she magnetized to the wall.

Jake: "You need any help? I got some money stashed away for a rainy day, and honestly I think it'd probably be best if you had it more than me if this is how you live."

Felica: "(Sighs) I don't really live like this, but it is a way I must live if I ever want to get out of my fathers shadow and become my own woman."

The two began talking about life, school, what they wanted to do after school had finished, and most of all the type of live they had wished to live.

Jake was more normal than Felica had ever thought as he wanted a good life where he could help others while also being able to take care of his friends and family should they ever need it while having a family of his own to come back to after every day of work.

Felica on the other hand was just about right as she wanted to live a similar life as the one she knew where she could go to extravagant parties, events hosted and attended by only the highest of the one percent and live a life without worries.

Eventually things started to happen and two... well talked in a way they probably wouldn't have if things had played out differently and neither of them began to feel the affects of both whatever scent Felica had with her along with some good drank that made them both feel good.

Their chat and fun lasted quite a long while to the point that when Jake would eventually return home his sister was waiting for him in his room and sleeping on his bed with tears in her eyes along with very angry and annoyed parents that were just glad to see he was alright in the end.

At the moment however this was the best thing either of them have ever experienced especially Felica as she had a little fear/phobia of men touching her thanks to her father and from this little interaction she realized that men could actually help her feel good in a way other than stealing their wallets or just messing with them.

This little shin dig would later change both their lives drastically than if they were to stay as normal friends. With Jake feeling super guilty as Ekaj from then on kept showing him a tally of him getting close to one of his darkest fantasies while Felica started acting nicer to everyone else.

Once the two finished their song and dance they looked at each other for a really, really long time and admired one another almost going at it again only to be stopped once they started to actually hear the cars driving by the highway and the mood had disappeared.

Jake: "So uh... I guess I'll see you Monday?"

Felica: "(Tries to fix her hair while not letting go of her bed sheet) Yea... see you Monday."

Throwing Jake out of her little home he begins to walk around the city to clear his head before eventually finding some bag guys and goes on to fight them like a much worse version of Spider-Woman as Jake barely had any idea how to fight like her.

After about the hundredth punch Jake stopped trying to fight like Spider-Woman and started to fight more like himself, which was a very dirty way of fighting as he would grab any and everything before using it to beat up his opponents... which sometimes meant using his enemies as either weapons or shields.

The next day Jake found that his name was either White-Spider or Blood-Spider as he began beating people to near death or what people assumed he was doing from how hard his beating looked but Jake didn't have super strength or anything like that so his punches were fairly normal but probably hurt a lot more than the bad guys would have liked.

What made Jake really proud was when he started getting articles and talks about him on the Daily Bugles website, podcast, and news app that no matter how many times he tried to get rid of somehow found its way back on his found within the week.

Meanwhile Felica was relaxing in her house and realized that she as she was getting ready to steal some things again she didn't need to put on a suit as she somehow had a white cat suit on already instead of her usual black attire.

Felica: "Well this is interesting."

And that is all for now hope you all enjoyed and until next time stay safe and peace!
