Three Days later Erik’s POV It’s feel like I’ve been asleep for a very long time, drift aimlessly in the void.
All I can remember is an endless darkness, endless, soundless, couldn’t even hear my own thoughts.
Regardless, I was able to make a difference in my loved ones life.
Knowing Derricc, Zira is safe as well.
That means we succeed in operation homecoming.
That means a lot to me as someone who lost both of them once.
As I’m going through these thought I feel myself being sucked back towards something.
After a few moment, I feel myself back in a body.
Damn did I get reincarnated again, why.
After some time I realize that I’m back in my body.
I can feel the injury’s I received and that I can’t really move my body.
I can’t believe, Aurora did it, I’m so happy for her.
I then feel an injection spot in my arm and I realize that Vera must’ve done something to me again.
That damn Vera, I know I willingly gave her permission to use me as a test subject, but I was out cold.
I just hope she didn’t do anything weird to me.
I successfully open my eyes and see myself in a room with a bunch of medical equipment and I try to open my mouth to talk but no sounds coming out.
“Vera, these nanobots are incredible.
The tissue is recovering at a pace that’s theoretically impossible.
Erik should be able to recover faster than we originally thought.” “Aurora, I have to ask, what on earth did I see during surgery.
It didn’t look like anything that modern scientists would do.” “Well, you risked everything on untested nanotechnology.
I risked everything on unproven ancient techniques that I found during my studies that combined modern info with the past and some potential future theories.” So, they risked their careers and livelihoods just to try and bring me back to life.
These two, I can’t even be mad at them.
Guess I’m now a dual patient zero.

“Ladies, if you’re done experimenting on me, I’d like to know what I missed.” I say with a chuckle as I can feel myself being able to talk again.
“Erik!” They say in unison like I’ve been gone for ages.
“How are you feeling.” Aurora asks as she’s checking vitals.
“I’m alive, so better than I guess I’ve been.
Thank you both for taking care of me.” The girls look so happy that it’s making me smile as well.
“I’m going to get some rest, looks like it might be too early to be conversing much.” 7 days after injury.
Over the last few days, Aurora and Vera have tried to keep me updated on everyone and everything I’ve missed.
I’ve also seen everyone come by at least one to talk to me.
It’s been nice.
I’ve talked with Aurora and Vera and I’m at a point where I’m still bedridden but I can at least take on my desk work that I’m sure Derricc hasn’t been able to keep up with, poor guy.
I’ve found out that the mission was a trap, about the yakuza issue with the bomb situation, but mostly the guilt that Zira and Selene have been feeling.
It breaks my heart to see them continue like this.
Too bad i can really comfort them while I’m still injured.
I’ll find a way to make it up to them.
1 month after injury I’ve been cleared for physical rehabilitation which is absolutely amazing.
I love Vera and Aurora and love spending time with them, but being stuck in bed all day was getting frustrating.
I get it though, my body has been experimented on in a way that saved my life and they’re just being cautious.
I spend a few days working on getting myself back to at least being able to somewhat walk with some effort.
A week later I’m calling a meeting with everyone.
I start with the Derricc as he tells me what he’s had everyone not named Aurora and Vera doing.
I then talk to Ginefer to get an update on the yakuza situation.
Imagine my surprise when I found out that Ginefer spilled the tea on everything.
I guess the situation got to the point where she couldn’t hide it anymore.
Vera and Ginefer give me an update on the modified explosives they uncovered and how they differ.
Anya and Selene give me what they uncovered and it seems like the perfect change to take care of Somalia for a while.

As the meeting wraps ups I tell the group one last thing.

I open the system panel and immediately get hit with a lot of information.
The PAS updating for the last time is nice.

We’ve apparently unlocked the restaurant and vehicle systems as well as our individual skill trees which is nice.

2 months later I’m not close to 100% yet but I’ve at least been cleared for standard work and observation ops only I go to the roof of the building and I look out across the city as I watch all the pieces coming together.
Derricc comes and stands next to me as he puts a hand on my shoulder.
The rest of the group comes up and stands with us as the 10 of us look out and watch the city moving in a direction to be a safe haven.
