“Your сlothеs.” She handеd over thе bag in her hаnd.

Hearing hеr vоiсe, Не Yu Zhou frowned slightlу. “Do уоu have а cold?”

Withоut ovеrthinking, аs his lеft hand tоok the bаg, his right hand instinctivеlу rеached out to touch her fоrеhead, cheсking hеr temperаturе.

Fortunately, she wasn’t running a fever.

The emotions he had restrained in front of her earlier now inadvertently revealed his concern.

Feeling the warmth of his palm against her forehead, Yin En Yu pursed her lips and took a small step back. “I’m not sick.”

“Are you sure?” He Yu Zhou didn’t have time to dwell on her deliberate attempt to create distance and withdrew his hand. “Your voice sounds off.”

Her originally soft and smooth voice carried a hint of hoarseness.

Yin En Yu lowered her gaze. He could still keenly notice the slightest change in her right away.

In truth, her voice wasn’t much different from usual; even Aunt Yu at home hadn’t noticed anything.

“I’m really fine.” Yin En Yu prepared to leave. “Since I’ve delivered the clothes, I’ll be going now. I won’t disturb your work.”

He Yu Zhou let out a silent chuckle. “Did I say you were disturbing my work?”

Asking her to bring the jacket over wasn’t really about the jacket itself.

“You’re already at the entrance of my company. Won’t you come up for a while?”

Yin En Yu’s lips moved slightly, wanting to refuse, but the man before her spoke again—

“Give me some face?”

His tone softened, carrying a hint of unconscious affection.

In front of her, he no longer held the imposing demeanor of someone in a superior position; the oppressive aura had vanished without a trace.

Yin En Yu’s heart trembled slightly. He knew all too well that she couldn’t resist him like this.

“What would I do up there? Is it appropriate?”

He Yu Zhou asked, puzzled, “Why wouldn’t it be appropriate?”

Could there be something in his office that shouldn’t be seen?

Yin En Yu lowered her gaze, her eyes falling on the ring on his left hand. Her unspoken concerns were silently revealed at that moment.

Noticing her gaze, He Yu Zhou raised his left hand, his thumb brushing over the cold ring on his middle finger. “Do you think I have a girlfriend just because I’m wearing a ring?”

Yin En Yu remained silent, which in He Yu Zhou’s eyes was an admission.

He let out a scoffing laugh. “Do you think I’m the kind of person who would get entangled with other women while having a girlfriend?”

In his view, such behavior showed a lack of respect and boundaries, something he could only look down upon.

Loyalty and devotion were the most basic principles and bottom lines.

Being mistakenly thought to have a girlfriend didn’t bring him the slightest bit of happiness; instead, a wave of melancholy washed over him.

In her heart, was he really such a person without a sense of propriety?

Or perhaps she believed he could let go of their past feelings so easily.

Right, he had forgotten—Yin En Yu had already moved on long ago.

If he hadn’t deliberately appeared before her, she might never have sought him out again.

Sometimes, he thought she was quite heartless, occupying his entire heart and soul only to suddenly withdraw.

To say he wasn’t the least bit upset would be a lie, after all, the feelings they once shared were real.

But facing her, he couldn’t bring himself to lose his temper.

He wasn’t a person with a particularly good temper; it was just that he had no temper when it came to her.

Even after two years apart, it remained the same.”No.” Yin Enyu’s voice was soft and gentle, carrying not a trace of hesitation.

She had considered that he might have a girlfriend, but she had never once thought that he was the kind of person who couldn’t distinguish right from wrong.

He was a good man—otherwise, she wouldn’t have agreed to be with him in the first place.

Even if time could flow backward, she would still choose him without hesitation.

Those two light, airy words swept away the frustration in He Yuzhou’s heart.

She had that kind of magic.

“Let’s go up.” After speaking to her, He Yuzhou turned and instructed the driver behind her, “Sir, you can leave first. I’ll take her home later.”

“There’s no need…” Yin Enyu wanted to refuse, but He Yuzhou cut off her escape route—

“Cheng Ziyan and Lu Jun want to invite you to dinner.”

With those words, even if Yin Enyu wanted to refuse, she couldn’t.

When they were together, Cheng Ziyan and Lu Jun had also taken good care of her and could be considered her friends.

He Yuzhou succeeded in bringing Yin Enyu into his company, leaving his assistant behind, stunned.

The scene he had just witnessed left him in disbelief.

The person Chairman He had personally come down to greet was actually the renowned pianist Yin Enyu.

And was this really their proud and aloof Chairman He? When had he ever been so gentle and patient, or needed someone to do him a favor?

The natural affection and indulgence that flowed between them was impossible to conceal.

He could also tell that the relationship between these two was incredibly subtle.

Before, he had heard Young Master Cheng and Young Master Lu mention that Chairman He had a long-cherished first love, a white moonlight in his heart, but she had been the one to break up with him.

At first, he couldn’t understand what kind of woman would dare to dump someone as handsome and wealthy as Chairman He.

But if that woman was Yin Enyu, he could understand.

Yin Enyu—a name that carried its own halo.

Her family background was on par with Chairman He’s, and she was the “Piano Goddess” in the hearts of many.

Her fame was so great that even someone like him, who knew nothing about piano art and never attended concerts, was aware of her name and achievements.

Zou Zhen watched the two walking side by side ahead, their steps in sync.

There were no intimate gestures, and they maintained a normal social distance between them, but…

It still felt as though the atmosphere between them was exceptionally intense.

The pairing of a handsome man and a beautiful woman—one tall and long-legged, broad-shouldered and narrow-waisted, exuding charisma; the other delicate and graceful, fair-skinned and slender-waisted, effortlessly beautiful.

One strong, one gentle—two completely different auras, yet perfectly matched, a sight for sore eyes.

The image of a golden boy and jade girl was personified in them.

As the two passed through the lobby on the first floor, they naturally caught the attention of the receptionists. They wanted to look but didn’t dare stare too openly.

They could only steal occasional glances.

Only after He Yuzhou led Yin Enyu into the elevator did they dare to speak up boldly, gossiping excitedly—

“Was that the girl who just walked past the one Chairman He personally went to pick up? She’s so beautiful!”

“That goes without saying—have you ever seen anyone else by Chairman He’s side?”

“But she really is stunning, with an incredible figure and looks.”

“That elegant aura—you can tell at a glance she’s a socialite.”

The sense of nobility she exuded came from within; it was something that couldn’t be hidden or faked.

“Absolutely, her clothes look expensive at first glance… but why do I feel like she looks familiar? I feel like I’ve seen her somewhere before?”If she were a celebrity in the entertainment industry, with that kind of appearance, she definitely wouldn’t have forgotten the name.

“Then hurry up and think about who she is. I want to know what her relationship with President He is.”

“I can’t quite figure out what their relationship is for now, but it’s definitely not ordinary.”

Since she started working at the company, she had never seen President He get so close to any woman before.

Even if it was a client coming to see him for work, they had to make an appointment in advance.

He Yu Zhou had no idea that his action of going downstairs to pick up Yin En Yu had caused quite a stir among the company employees.

However, even if he knew, he wouldn’t tone down his behavior—he would still go downstairs to pick up Yin En Yu.
