Shen Lingxi, you little minx, you sure know how to be a tease.

“Baby, baby?”

Fu Jinglan turned his cold face aside to look at the snow outside the window. “Stop calling me that. I’m not.”Full novel: The Big Shot is Fierce? But He Can’t Stand It When Baby Cries in Pain — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He had never been anyone’s baby.

“Turn around, will you?” Shen Lingxi forcibly turned Fu Jinglan’s face back with her hands. “You’re not a fountain pen, nor a paintbrush. You’re my baby.”

Fu Jinglan shrugged his shoulders.

A low chuckle escaped his throat. “Shen Lingxi, I know you’re trying to sweet-talk me.”

Because when they came down the mountain, Mu Suizhou and Bo Yuesheng had also tried to sweet-talk Fu Jinglan, but they were terrible at it and ended up completely pissing him off.

These two.

One had no woman at all.

The other only knew how to force women with actions.

They couldn’t even sweet-talk a woman properly, yet they overestimated themselves and tried to sweet-talk a man.

Mu Suizhou said, “Old Fu, no matter what, your dad and mom have, and only have, you as their son.”

The Fu family was wealthy enough to rival a nation, and Zhuang Tongtong was also ambitious, having opened her own casino.

All the family assets would belong to Fu Jinglan in the future.

Bo Yuesheng immediately retorted to Mu Suizhou, “That’s because they’re incapable. Neither of them could have a second child.”

Otherwise, how many siblings would Fu Jinglan have?

Mu Suizhou expressed concern for Fu Jinglan. “This… it can’t be hereditary, can it?”

Bo Yuesheng looked very professional. “Is genetics a joke? If the father is small, the son won’t be big; if the father is soft, the son won’t be hard either.”

Fu Jinglan was about to explode.

“You two, go back to the base right now and shoot each other.”

…

Shen Lingxi, having been seen through by Fu Jinglan, went limp.

Her ninety-something-pound body slumped onto him, looking a bit deflated.

“I wanted to say some sweet words to make you happy.”

“But after thinking and talking about it over and over, I suddenly realized that the sweetest thing is actually you.”

No one could resist being sweet-talked like that.

Fu Jinglan pinched Shen Lingxi’s mouth, distorting it. “Isn’t that a bit too sweet, hmm?”

Shen Lingxi pretended to be a little dog biting, chasing after Fu Jinglan’s fingers to bite.

The single soft chair was only so big.

Carrying two people was a bit cramped.

Shen Lingxi wasn’t wearing a playful little skirt, but jeans had their own charm.

The fabric tightly hugged her flesh.

Her slender waist, perky buttocks, and well-proportioned legs made her even more shapely and sexy.

She was restless again. In this narrow space, she kept sitting, kneeling, grinding, and rubbing against Fu Jinglan.

It was as if Fu Jinglan had grown another person on him.

Shen Lingxi was so annoying, always clinging to him like this.

Fu Jinglan’s breathing gradually grew heavier. He shifted his long legs, which were spread wide apart.

“Shen Xiaotu, you’re pressing on it.”

“Hmm?”

Just as Shen Lingxi was about to confirm if Xiao Ke’ai was getting impatient, a large hand grasped the back of her neck, and Fu Jinglan’s hot kiss pressed down.

At the same time, her little chic jacket slipped off in his palm.

The soft chair also lacked strong resolve. As soon as the two kissed, it swung around half a circle.

Shen Lingxi had to hold Fu Jinglan tightly. “Will we, will we fall?”

Fu Jinglan pressed his lips against hers, his voice seductive. “Just kissing won’t make us fall.”

He paused from kissing and chuckled lowly. “But—”

Fu Jinglan deliberately moved his waist with such force that the soft chair couldn’t withstand the disturbance and started to spin again, only to be stopped firmly by his long legs.

Shen Lingxi held him even tighter.

But what?

Fu Jinglan’s breath was slightly panting, brushing against Shen Lingxi’s ears.

“But, if we do other things, it’s hard to say.”

Fu Jinglan smelled so good, his bathrobe was so soft, and his breath was so warm.

The heat made Shen Lingxi’s cheeks flush, and she was certain.

“Xiao Ke’ai is being naughty again, not fully recovered yet.”

Fu Jinglan wrapped Shen Lingxi in a bathrobe and pressed his lips to hers once more, disrupting her breathing.

“Not afraid of being naughty.”

“Already recovered.”

The two were passionately kissing on the chair, inseparable, when Fu Jinglan’s phone vibrated.

With official duties, he usually wouldn’t casually reject calls.

But his first words were impatient, “Busy right now, no time.”

Fu Jinglan held the little rabbit in the bathrobe with one hand, his breathing not yet fully settled, letting out a soft, uneven sigh.

“If you have the patience, you can wait until tonight.”

Probably the other person asked what he was doing.

Fu Jinglan lowered his head and kissed Shen Lingxi’s forehead, “What can you do on a snowy day.”

Snowy days are perfect for it.

That’s what he said, but after hanging up, Fu Jinglan turned back into a cold-faced monster.

Shen Lingxi secretly made a dazed expression.

The person wasn’t soothed.

And she didn’t get to sleep.

“Knock, knock.”

Aunt Hui knocked from outside, “Mr. Fu, I’ve prepared some black tea to ward off the cold. May I bring it in?”

Fu Jinglan agreed.

Aunt Hui pushed the mobile tea cart to the floor-to-ceiling window. Fu Jinglan waved his hand, not keeping her to brew the tea.

Shen Lingxi emerged from the bathrobe, lifting her pink face.

“Maybe I should do it. I used to watch the tea masters at home brew tea all the time.”

Grandfather loved tea, and the Shen family had over twenty tea masters alone.

Fu Jinglan nodded, pinching his temples.

Shen Lingxi knew that the first step in brewing tea was warming and cleaning the utensils.

She lifted the kettle, expertly pouring water into the gaiwan with precision, then lifted the gaiwan, slowly rotating it. Next, she warmed the fairness cup, then the tasting cups.

The whole process was fluid, and she even added some flair, mimicking what she’d seen.

Does it look elegant?

Not that elegant.

Shen Lingxi was scalded, her mind already in chaos like a panicked puppy.

Her little mouth didn’t stop, “Ouch~,” “Hah~,” “Whoa~.”

“If you get burned again, I’ll throw it away.”

Fu Jinglan leaned forward, grabbing Shen Lingxi’s wrist, “Stop, Shen Lingxi. The tea isn’t important. Don’t burn yourself to death.”

Shen Lingxi quickly blew on her hands, “You do it yourself, brother.”

Fu Jinglan brewed the tea himself and lit some incense.

Turning around, he found the space beside him too quiet, too empty, too cold, too unfamiliar.

Shen Lingxi was gone, without even saying goodbye.

Great.

Everyone was here to annoy him today.

Fu Jinglan tossed the tasting cup aside, tea spilling everywhere. He leaned back into the soft chair, tightened his bathrobe, and continued sulking.

Just then, a countdown melody suddenly played in the room.

“Ding, ding, ding.”

A little penguin hopped in front of Fu Jinglan.

It was Shen Lingxi, wrapped from head to toe in a penguin suit, wearing sunglasses, breathing through the penguin’s yellow beak.

Immediately followed by the tune of “Colder than Ice.”

Shen Lingxi started dancing a penguin medley.

Fu Jinglan watched the little penguin motionlessly, clapping as it hopped and jumped, looking so agile, so ridiculous.

The music changed to “Xinjiang Penguin Dance.”

Fu Jinglan almost forgot his anger. Shen Lingxi swayed beautifully, full of exotic charm.

Then came “Bu Chao Bu Yong Hua Qian,” “Simba Dance,” and “Touch,” all with strong rhythms and a touch of sensuality.

She truly embodied whatever she danced.

And then, it was over.

Fu Jinglan wasn’t entirely satisfied.

When Shen Lingxi walked the runway for Song Zhili, she could dance the twerk, her waist and hips as flexible as a snake.

But for him, all she had was the penguin dance.

He wanted to see something more provocative.

At that moment, Shen Lingxi tore open the penguin costume, her face flushed pink as she gasped for breath. “Do I look good, d-^^y?”

“I’m not just a girl who’s only beautiful in looks, brains, and morals—I have plenty of shining qualities.”

Fu Jinglan suddenly lost interest in watching a provocative dance. “Silly.”

He stood up directly, took a tissue, and wiped the sweat from Shen Lingxi’s face.

“You’ve gotten so hot you’ve turned into a little fool.”

Shen Lingxi gazed at Fu Jinglan with wide, eager eyes, her smile radiant. “Then this little fool wants a hug from her treasure.”

Fu Jinglan didn’t say another word. He pinched Shen Lingxi’s chin and leaned down to kiss her.

Urgent and fervent.

He closed his eyes in concentration, and Shen Lingxi closed hers too.

When Fu Jinglan lifted her into the air and carried her toward the large bed, her thigh brushed against the soft armchair.

The chair spun alone in place several times.

No one told it to stop.

At some point, Fu Jinglan removed Shen Lingxi’s agarwood bracelet and tucked it beneath the pillow.

Outside the window, snow fell heavily.

The room was dimly lit, yet perfectly so.

Fu Jinglan braced his arms on either side of Shen Lingxi, his eyes intoxicated, his fair skin tinged with a faint blush. *Kissing, nibbling, and asking, “Little bunny, are you okay?”

Shen Lingxi gripped Fu Jinglan’s snake tattoo, her long, sharp nails digging into his skin.

The corners of her eyes and the tip of her nose were flushed red.

Her voice was fragile, delicate, and seductive. “You… you shouldn’t always… talk.”

Why did Fu Jinglan always want to chat with her?

She was truly too busy.

Unlike him, who never seemed to rest.

Fu Jinglan laughed, turning to kiss Shen Lingxi’s eyes. “If I don’t talk, how will I know? Should I guess by your expression?”

Shen Lingxi refused to let him look.

She released one hand to cover Fu Jinglan’s eyes, occasionally tugging at his hair.

But Fu Jinglan didn’t listen.

He held Shen Lingxi and turned to lie on their sides, kissing her ear and nibbling on her diamond earring.

“Baby.”

“There’s a picture on your phone with lots of little figures. One pair has a circle drawn around them—do you like that one?”

The wicked big bad wolf really had checked her phone.

Shen Lingxi felt as if the sky had collapsed.

But with Fu Jinglan holding her up, life and death were in his hands. “Yes… I like it.”

“Good. If baby likes it, baby should be satisfied.”

Baby wants, baby gets.

Shen Lingxi was held upright by Fu Jinglan, and she saw the snow falling heavier outside the window.

All things were lovely, only waiting for spring to arrive.
