“Fuck you!”

Starlight was absolutely furious; she didn’t care about anything anymore.

With the light on her hands waving continuously, golden waves of energy slammed toward Su Kai as if they cost nothing.Full novel: The Boys: Reincarnated as The Deep, Starting with Starlight — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Even the electronic screens nearby had all been shattered into smithereens.

Su Kai ‘awkwardly’ dodged, constantly twisting and shifting between the light waves.

He scrambled to avoid them, knocking over the coffee table and tipping over decorative vases, leaving the entire lounge in a complete mess.

While dodging, he kept running his mouth:

“He’s triggered, he’s triggered!

Look at you, I just told you a couple of home truths and you’re already losing your cool!

With that kind of mental fortitude, you want to be a superhero?!”

“Shut up!”

Starlight’s eyes turned even redder, and another, thicker beam of energy blasted toward him.

Su Kai didn’t even glance at it, inwardly calculating whether he should ‘accidentally’ take a hit to make his performance more convincing…

Just then, a blue figure draped in the Stars and Stripes instantly appeared between him and Starlight.

The appearance of this figure instantly quieted the noisy atmosphere around them.

Homelander.

He hovered a few centimeters above the ground, his back to Su Kai, facing Starlight directly.

The thick golden energy beam that was about to hit Su Kai slammed directly into his chest, yet it didn’t even wrinkle his uniform.

In the blink of an eye, the energy beam was like water splashing against a rock, dissipating silently.

“Enough.”

Homelander’s voice was low, yet it carried an unquestionable sense of oppression.

He had no expression on his face, just looking coldly at Starlight.

“Starlight, control your emotions.

This is The Seven, not a street brawl.”

Starlight panted heavily.

Under the pressure of Homelander’s aura, the electrical light on her body slowly dimmed, but her eyes were still glaring fixedly at Su Kai behind Homelander.

Homelander then slowly turned around to look at Su Kai.

His eyes also held undisguised disgust.

“The Deep,” Homelander said scornfully, “what the hell are you up to again?”

“Me?”

Su Kai immediately put on that aggrieved and innocent face.

“Homelander, you have to be the judge here!

I was kindly mentoring the new recruit, not only did she not appreciate it, but she suddenly dared to attack me, her senior!

And look at what she’s done to the lounge!”

“Mentoring?”

Queen Maeve finally couldn’t hold back.

She put down her coffee cup and walked over, crossing her arms, her face filled with undisguised sarcasm.

“Mentoring with your ‘dick’?

The Deep, sometimes I really wonder if Vought let you into The Seven because they were impressed by the thickness of your skin.”

Su Kai secretly gave Maeve a thumbs up in his heart, but on the surface, he looked insulted.

“Maeve!

What do you mean by that?

I’m helping the new recruit integrate into the team as quickly as possible!”

“Integrate into your bed?”

Maeve sneered.

“Spare me.

That little act of yours only works on naive little girls who just arrived.”

She paused, her eyes sweeping between Su Kai and Starlight.

“But it looks like you played too hard this time, didn’t you?

Hit a snag, haven’t you?”

“That was just…”

Su Kai wanted to try ‘arguing’ a bit more, but was forcibly interrupted by Homelander.

“Shut up.”

Homelander looked at Su Kai, then at the chaotic lounge, and finally his gaze landed on Starlight’s face, which was full of both anger and humiliation.

After a few seconds of silence, he finally said in an unquestionable tone:

“Starlight, go back to your room and calm down.”

“The Deep.”

Homelander’s gaze scraped across Su Kai like a knife.

“You, come with me to Edgar’s office.”

“Now?!”

Su Kai was overjoyed inside, but his face instantly collapsed, revealing an expression of panic and unease.

“Homelander, this… this is a small matter, surely there’s no need to disturb President Edgar?”

“A small matter?”

Homelander’s mouth curled into a cold arc, and he landed, poking Su Kai in the chest.

“Assaulting a teammate, destroying public property, sexual harassment allegations… The Deep, do you really think these things that damage the company’s reputation are small matters?”

He didn’t waste any more words, turned around, and walked out.

Su Kai “pulled a long face” and followed him, dragging his feet.

When passing by Maeve, she lowered her voice and said in a volume only the two of them could hear:

“Serves you right.”

Su Kai heard it, but didn’t stop, just turned his head to look at Maeve and silently mouthed:

“Your bodysuit, the seam on your ass is about to burst.”

Maeve froze, subconsciously turning her head to look behind her, then immediately realized what happened.

Her face turned black, and she glared fiercely at Su Kai’s back.

Su Kai laughed and quickly jogged to catch up with Homelander.

The plan was going ridiculously smoothly.

Next, it would be up to the Vought executives to decide how to deal with him, this “trouble that severely impacts the team’s image.”

Some remote island?

Or some even more remote hellhole?

He couldn’t wait.

Homelander wasn’t walking fast in front, but that sense of oppression made the air in the hallway feel frozen.

The Vought staff around didn’t even dare to breathe when Homelander passed by.

Su Kai jogged behind, still maintaining that decadent expression of “It’s over, I’m in big trouble,” while inwardly, he was as steady as a rock.

“Hurry up.”

Homelander didn’t turn his head, his voice as cold as ice.

“Yes!

Sir!”

Su Kai responded loudly and quickened his pace.

The two walked in silence, and after passing through several luxurious corridors covered with thick carpets and huge superhero posters on the walls, they arrived in front of a heavy double wooden door.

Above the door was a small, exquisite silver nameplate:

Stan Edgar.

Homelander didn’t even knock; he just raised his hand and pushed the door open, walking straight in.

Su Kai also followed quickly, taking a quick glance at the layout of the surroundings.

The office was huge, decorated in a minimalist style dominated by black, white, and gray, appearing extremely cold.

Outside the huge floor-to-ceiling windows was the vast city skyline.

Behind a large solid wood desk sat a man in a suit with his hair combed meticulously.

Stan Edgar.

He was currently looking at a tablet in his hand, his expression showing no fluctuation.

Standing next to the huge desk was a woman with a seductive figure and elegant temperament, around forty years old, wearing a well-tailored professional suit, holding a folder.

It was the Senior Vice President of the Senior Management Department:

Madelyn Stillwell.

Seeing Homelander bring The Deep in, Edgar finally put down the tablet and slowly raised his eyelids.

Madelyn also turned her head, and the moment her gaze landed on Su Kai, her brows immediately furrowed, her eyes looking as if she were staring at something unclean.
