Getting Hit On By My Own Mum 25: 25: Urg..

Getting Hit On By My Own Mum Hearing that, Dean was genuinely shocked.

He had assumed Translucent was just being invisible on purpose.Full novel: The Boys’ V1 In The MCU — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He never expected the guy had simply not shown up at all.

Holy shit, was Translucent actually this arrogant?

A ferocious grin immediately spread across Dean’s face.

‘This dog of a bastard actually has the fucking guts!’ “I remember his skin is made of carbon atoms, completely bulletproof, right?

Then I’d really like to see if his insides are equally bulletproof… and whether they can handle electricity.” The second those words left Dean’s mouth, Homelander—who had been pretty furious himself—suddenly trembled.

More than half of his anger vanished on the spot.

He silently offered a quiet prayer for Translucent in his head.

Even he could not handle a beating from Dean.

Translucent had actually gone and provoked someone like him.

Looked like the guy was about to get electrocuted into a roasted chicken… “I’m afraid you won’t get the chance anymore.

I’ve already tested it for you.

His insides aren’t insulated against electricity at all~” Just as Dean was planning how to settle accounts with Translucent later and Homelander was quietly gloating, a voice spoke up from behind them.

Both of them turned around.

It was a woman.

A woman with sharp short hair, wearing a black combat suit and a cape styled exactly like Homelander’s.

She stood with her arms crossed, smiling with pure confidence, showing zero fear in front of either Dean or Homelander.

“Who are you?” Homelander furrowed his brows, clearly displeased.

Dean could talk to him as an equal—or even as a superior—because Dean had the strength to back it up.

Now this woman was putting on the exact same attitude, and that instantly pissed Homelander off.

Did he look like some pushover who would just let anyone walk all over him?

Facing Homelander’s unhappy stare, Stormfront stayed neither humble nor arrogant.

She simply smiled.

“Isn’t it obvious?

I’m the final member of The Seven, replacing Translucent.” “You can call me… Stormfront.” “Stormfront?

Why the hell didn’t I get any notification that Translucent was being replaced?” Homelander’s brows locked into a deep frown.

He could not help looking at Madelyn.

Madelyn’s expression was not great either.

She flipped through her schedule and shook her head at Homelander.

‘I didn’t receive any notification about replacing a member of The Seven either…’ “Of course you didn’t receive a notification.

Because this was my temporary decision.” Right then a figure walked out from backstage, and both Homelander and Madelyn looked surprised—almost panicked.

Graying hair, calm expression, upright posture.

It was the person with the most real power inside Vought International—President Stan Edgar.

Stan Edgar glanced at the panicking Homelander and Madelyn, walked straight up to the microphone on his own, and smiled.

“I am the current president of Vought, Stan Edgar.

Due to some special reasons, Translucent has withdrawn from The Seven.

Therefore the new substitute member—the mistress of thunder and lightning, Stormfront—becomes the final member of The Seven!” The reporters offstage, who had already been frantically snapping photos because of the chaos on stage, smelled blood the second they heard those words.

They pushed forward like sharks and started firing questions at Stan Edgar nonstop.

“Mr.

Edgar, what specifically happened to Translucent that he couldn’t join The Seven?” “Mr.

Edgar, why is this new member Stormfront called the mistress of thunder and lightning?

Is there any connection between her and the controller of thunder and lightning, Dean Osborn?” “Mr.

Edgar, why are all the substitute members of The Seven white people?

Why is there not even a single person of color in The Seven?” … One sharp question after another slammed into Stan Edgar’s ears.

His facial muscles twitched involuntarily and he subconsciously glanced toward Stormfront.

Stormfront shot him a sharp look right back.

Stan Edgar trembled slightly and had no choice but to turn his head forward again.

Nobody else noticed those little details.

Even Homelander was still too panicked by Stan Edgar’s sudden appearance to catch them.

But Dean saw everything.

His eyes had been locked on Stormfront the entire time.

So of course he also noticed Stan Edgar’s abnormal reaction.

Dean glanced at Stormfront, then took a long, meaningful look at Stan Edgar.

A knowing smile curled at the corner of his mouth.

‘Interesting.

Not only did Stormfront show up early, even this Stan Edgar is acting weird as hell.’ ‘Is it the butterfly effect I caused, or is it just because this universe isn’t a pure The Boys world and these discrepancies were always going to happen?’ Curiosity scratched at Dean like a kitten.

“What’s wrong, you prince charming?

Staring at me the whole time—are you interested in a young lady like me?” Stormfront walked right up beside Dean and bumped her shoulder against his without any attempt to hide it, teasing him openly.

“Young lady?'” Dean glanced at the woman who looked thirty at most and answered in a lazy voice.

“Sorry, I’m not Soldier Boy.

I don’t like eating old grass~” The smile on Stormfront’s face stiffened for a second, but she smoothed it over immediately and stared straight into Dean’s eyes.

“My my~, you seem to know a lot more than I imagined.

What am I supposed to do now that I’m even more interested in you?” Dean met that burning gaze head-on.

“What?

You want to get off with me through incest?” Stormfront: ???

Even someone who had lived more than a hundred years had her brain short-circuit for a fraction of a second under Dean’s blunt thunderbolt of a statement.

“NO!” Stormfront vetoed it immediately, then her tone shifted.

“But if you like it… it’s not like I can’t~” Dean: “…” The expression on Dean’s face said everything.

“Get lost.

My brain hasn’t been eaten by worms to that degree yet.

Go try Homelander instead—he might actually be into it.” Dean’s voice was pure disgust.

Stormfront glanced at Homelander, who still looked pretty panicked, then looked back at Dean, who had both confidence and real strength, and smiled.

“Homelander was my only choice before you appeared.

But ever since you showed up, he can only ever be the second choice.

You are the optimal one.” Dean: “…” Yo Chat, what the hell do I do if I’ve been targeted by my biological mother?

He stopped paying attention to Stormfront and turned his face forward again.

Seeing that Dean refused to keep the conversation going, Stormfront did not push either.

She simply stood beside him and stared at his face the entire time.

Like she was looking at a perfect piece of artwork and could never get enough of it.

On the other side Stan Edgar gradually found his rhythm and recovered that calm, composed mask.

He selectively answered only the questions that benefited Vought.

Anything about why The Seven had zero people of color he simply ignored.

And because Stan Edgar himself was Black, the reporters could not weaponize skin-color discrimination against him as moral blackmail.

Finally Stan Edgar cleared his throat and gestured toward Dean.

“The final matter is that starting from today, The Seven is officially established.

And because of his outstanding performance, Dean Osborn is promoted to co-Captain, enjoying the exact same Captain powers as Homelander!”
