Sunshine Network.
A blonde-haired woman sat behind a brown table, her smile bright and professional.
Behind her, the LED video walls depicted the image of a handsome, black-haired young man with eyes glowing a fiery red.
“Superboy,” the reporter said.
“A newly debuted hero, said to be the same as Omni-Man and Homelander.”
The image on the LED video wall changed to a video of the young man fighting against two brothers with the ability to use flame and ice.
“But is it true? Is Superboy strong enough to fill in the hole and defend The City together with Homelander?”

Vought.
Top floor of the Vought Tower.
In a cold, sleek boardroom, a man with black hair and eyes, wearing an impeccable black suit, typed on his laptop, his eyes cold and emotionless.
Suddenly, a knock on the door disrupted the silence.
“Come in,” the man said, eyes still glued to the laptop.
The door opened, and a woman holding a black file stepped in.
She had blonde, shoulder-length bob hair with blue eyes.
She wore a navy-colored blazer and pencil skirt.
“Madelyn. What is it?” the man asked.
The blonde-haired woman, Madelyn, walked over and placed the file she held on her table.
The man finally took his gaze from the laptop and took the file, opening and reading it.
“We need to discuss the incident downtown. The individual calls himself Superboy,” Madelyn said as she watched the man read through the file.
“Superboy. More heroes have been debuting recently, but this one is the most troublesome,” the man said.
The civilians wanted heroes, but what they desired more were heroes like the Seven Guardians of the Globe.
The man knew this, as did his competitors.
That was why Vought shot up and became the strongest hero organization in The City.
Homelander as Omni-Man.
Queen Maeve as War Woman.
A-Train as Red Rush.
The Deep as Aquarius.
And Black Noir as Dark Wing.
“Madelyn. Is there a way to contact this Superboy?” the man asked.
Madelyn frowned and shook her head.
“I’m afraid there’s not, Edgar. This new hero—this Superboy—emerged completely out of nowhere, and his departure was just as unaccounted for. Our tracking teams have absolutely nothing.”
(A/N: This is a mixed world, meaning Vought wouldn’t have the same advanced satellites that they possess in canon since they aren’t the only superhero organization.)
The old man, Edgar, frowned slightly.
“This is really troublesome… Fortunately, he’s in The City, not New York.”

The Superboy—Jack—being talked about by not only the media and Vought but many major conglomerates around America, stepped through the school gate with a bag on his back, sighing.
“I really am attending school,” Jack said, ‘ but the system really is convenient’
Yesterday after his debut, he had returned to his room only to see an eyeglass on his table with a system description.
[Kryptonian glasses: A glass made from the technology of Krypton able to subtly hypnotise people and hide your identity]
A perfect disguise for a hero.
Entering the school building, Jack noticed a commotion not far away, his enhanced hearing and eyesight picking up what was happening.
‘Todd?’ Jack raised an eyebrow as he noticed a blonde-haired, burly kid harassing a nerdy girl.
Jack pushed through the crowd and yanked Todd’s hand away from the nerdy girl’s sweater.
Standing in front of her, he smiled.
“Hey Todd, it’s still early. Can you stop this?”
“Huh!? Scram, nerd!” Todd barked as he glared at Jack, intending to push him away but failing to do so.
“Todd. Do you know you can get reported for this?” Jack asked, still keeping a warm smile.
Something seemed to snap inside Todd’s head as he raised his fist and threw a punch at Jack.
“Nerd, if you don’t want to go, I’ll make you!”
Todd’s fist struck Jack’s face, but he stuck there unable to move any further.
“I used the civilized way,” Jack said.
He clenched his fist and punched out, a light but brutal blow to Todd’s stomach.
Bang!
“Ugh…!” Todd doubled over as he staggered back.
Jack’s fist at his jaw rose him back up, and he fell on his back like a doll cut from its strings.
Jack turned and flashed the nerdy girl a smile.
“Stay safe,” he said and walked away from the scene, leaving behind the dumbstruck crowd.

“Fight a bully, save a girl—hero duties” Jack muttered to himself, unable to suppress a grin.
“I’m sure she’s fallen head over heels for me.”
Jack, resting his elbow on his desk and placing his head on his palm, stared at the school grounds outside the window, ignoring the teacher who stood at the podium describing how some animals reproduce.
According to his memories, Jack was a typical nerd: smart and withdrawn.
Although he didn’t always top the class, he never fell below third, so the teacher would likely ignore him.
The clock ticked away, and lunch break arrived.
As the teacher stepped out of the class, Jack didn’t wait.
Carrying his bag, he headed towards the library.

Jack walked into the library, weaving through the bookshelves to a secluded place, but the person he was supposed to meet wasn’t there.
“Where did she go?” Jack muttered as he placed his bag on the table and took out his phone.
“Reading can be done later. Checking how popular I am comes first.”
Jack went on the internet, searching for a media channel located in The City.
But after finding one, Jack discovered that he wasn’t the one hitting the top of the rankings, but some people…
no, something else.
“Flaxans,” Jack muttered as he stood up.
It finally made sense why his reading buddy was missing.
“A city in trouble? What does it need?” Jack hurriedly stepped out of the library.
Seconds later, glasses removed and an old, worn hoodie on, Jack soared towards the sky, then exploded with speed towards a certain direction—Downtown.
“A perfect hero!”
