Too shameless!

Shameless!

Geng Nuo desperately twisted his neck, refusing to look at those two sinful fingers even if it killed him. The hot flush surged straight to his crown, spreading down to his neck, and seemingly continuing further downward.Full novel: The Canary Always Wanted To Get Promoted And Get A Raise — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He was practically cooked all the way through.

With Gu Chengayan’s nasty temperament, once he found a source of amusement, he would play until he was fully satisfied before stopping. Naturally, he wouldn’t let Geng Nuo escape easily, chasing the boy’s gaze with his fingers, which followed like a shadow no matter what angle he turned toward.

Geng Nuo still had rather thin skin. Tormented by Gu Chengayan’s malicious sense of humor and feeling deeply mortified with nowhere to run, he simply buried his head directly against the man’s chest, sealing his face away completely while wrapping his arms tightly around the waist, remaining as unshakable as a mountain no matter how Gu Chengayan pinched the back of his neck.

By the way, he also wiped his drool onto Gu Chengayan’s clothes.

He believed he was being very covert.

A light reprimand came from above: “Such a character.”

With leisurely composure, Gu Chengayan pulled out another sheet of paper to wipe his clean hand, hoisted up his human accessory, stood up, and retrieved the coat hanging on the wall, wrapping it loosely around Geng Nuo.

“Aren’t you afraid of suffocating yourself?”

With a stiff body, Geng Nuo didn’t dare to cross him anymore. The detector was still hidden inside this coat pocket; if Gu Chengayan casually fished out the cigar box and sensed something was amiss, it would undoubtedly make him even more suspicious.

Raising his face slightly, he cautiously observed Gu Chengayan’s attitude.

He didn’t seem to notice the cigar box.

His head poked out from the coat, his hair somewhat disheveled and messy with loose strands across his forehead, while the lower half of his face remained pressed against Gu Chengayan’s pectoral muscles, leaving only a pair of glossy, moistened eyes exposed.

Gu Chengayan looked for only a second before averting his gaze.

He hefted Geng Nuo upward slightly and said in a deep voice, “Hold on tight. I am going to let go.”

The man seemed to be terrorizing him again; Geng Nuo instinctively locked his arms around the man’s neck.

Gu Chengayan truly let go, actually bending down to pick something up.

Instantly feeling a sense of weightlessness, Geng Nuo couldn’t care less whether his clothes would slip off, hastily lifting his legs to cross and lock them around Gu Chengayan’s waist, clinging to him in the most secure posture possible like a koala bear.

He was terrified the man might genuinely drop him onto the floor.

Gu Chengayan picked up the black bag and those two pitiful Galactic bank notes from the floor, casting a glance around the room. The cramped dormitory appeared devoid of any remaining personal items, though just to be safe, he still asked, “Is there anything else of yours left here?”

Geng Nuo answered into his chest, “No.”

And so Gu Chengayan maintained that posture, carrying his human accessory—Geng Koala Nuo—back to the previous luxury suite.

Gu Chengayan walked with a dashing and casual stride, striding forward with both hands stuffed into his pockets. Geng Nuo, however, was miserable; lacking any support of his own, he had to rely entirely on the strength of his arms and legs wrapped tightly around the other person.

It was simply too dangerous.

The clothes on his body could slip off at any second, exposing the alabaster arms and slender legs left on display in the height of ambiguity, while the parts wrapped inside the coat invited even more endless imagination.

Not to mention that beneath it all, he was truly wearing nothing at all.

Every time he brushed past other servers or guests in the corridors, Geng Nuo felt goosebumps erupt across his arms, his toes curling in dread as he could only bury his face in the crook of Gu Chengayan’s neck and pray for the journey to end quickly.

His mortified appearance greatly pleased Gu Chengayan, whose lips curved upward into a slight smile as he reached out to pull the coat upward, covering Geng Nuo’s head entirely.

Like an absolute saint.

Geng Nuo had been trying to self-hypnotize: If I can not see others, others can not see me—his psychological construction was thoroughly complete. Now that the coat covered his head while a chilly breeze draft tickled his lower half, he began to fret all over again about whether the coat wasn’t long enough to conceal his open-air backside cleft.

So humiliating…

Ahhh! He knew that this coat belonging to Gu Chengayan was long enough! But the chilly sensation was also genuinely vivid!

Returning to the previous room, Gu Chengayan hoisted Geng Nuo up by the back of the neck, peeled him off his body, and tossed him onto the bed. Noticing that his eye rims had reddened once more, he couldn’t help wondering, “What is it this time?”

The moment he hit the bed, Geng Nuo wrapped himself tightly in the bedsheets, his wet black pupils filled with resentment. Glaring at Gu Chengayan with his most ferocious gaze, the expression seemed completely neutralized upon landing on the man, carrying zero deterrence.

Realizing he was utterly powerless against him, he could only pout and offer a weak, pitiful condemnation: “You bully people.”

“Mhm.” Gu Chengayan absorbed every ounce of his accusation, pinching his cheek. “I bully people.”

Geng Nuo: He was so angry.

His method of silent resistance consisted of wrapping himself entirely inside the bedsheets and curling into an autistic ball.

Gu Chengayan didn’t seem inclined to unwrap him just yet, leaving instructions: “Go wash your face and wait for me to return.” With that, he actually headed out the door.

Diving out from the sheets upon confirming the man was gone, Geng Nuo hurriedly got out of bed to hide the detector away.

Once that was concealed, he took a hurried, makeshift shower and sat back on the bed wrapped in a bath towel.

Thinking back on it, today’s emotions had come about rather inexplicably. Having been here for half a month, aside from being bullied on the bed by Gu Chengayan, Geng Nuo had only shed a couple of tears when he first arrived.

He was quite strong-willed, after all.

He had simply been unable to suppress the grievance in his heart earlier, crying it out had actually made him feel quite refreshed. Coupled with Gu Chengayan’s diversion, the frustration of being bullied had instead eclipsed the grievance of having his money stolen.

He remembered those people’s faces. If their accomplices didn’t cough up the cash, he would beat those thugs from today to a pulp, force them to give up their accomplices, and settle accounts one by one.

He wasn’t going to let this go just like that.

Having finally constructed the detector, his next step was to scout out an escape route.

Just endure a little longer, and he would soon escape from this place.

Once he calmed down, both body and mind were utterly exhausted.

Slumping sideways onto the bed, Geng Nuo silently counted his heartbeats.

Night fell, bringing some noisy commotion from outside, yet Gu Chengayan never returned.

Waiting and waiting until his eyelids grew increasingly heavy, Geng Nuo drifted off to sleep without realizing it.

That was the exact scene Gu Chengayan returned to find: Geng Nuo sleeping soundly facedown on the bed, snoring softly, the hem of his bath towel rolled up a section due to his restless sleeping posture, faintly revealing his backside cleft.

Treading lightly, the man walked right up and tossed what he was holding onto the bedside table with a loud thud. In his sleep, Geng Nuo instinctively twitched his legs, but didn’t wake up.

Gu Chengayan turned off the lights, climbed onto the bed on a single knee, peeled off Geng Nuo’s bath towel with a few swift motions, and hoisted up his waist.

And casually slapped him on the rear by the way.

“Wake up, lift your waist,” Gu Chengayan ordered expressionlessly. Looking closer, there seemed to be a fleeting trace of bashful annoyance on his face as he squeezed a few words through his teeth: “How many years has it been since I did something this humiliating? And you are sleeping like a log…”

In the dim light, moonlight filtered through the windows to illuminate Geng Nuo’s flushed white skin. A droplet of sweat slid down the back of his arched neck, flashing with a hazy luster as it crossed over their entwined bodies, falling faintly upon the bedside table where two neat stacks of Galactic bank notes were piled.

Sleeping soundly, Geng Nuo suffered a forced system reboot, getting bullied through half a daze without understanding a thing.

When he finally opened his eyes a little clearer, he found himself pinned between the bed and Gu Chengayan.

Regaining a bit more awareness, his lips drooped into a pout ready for tears, prompting Gu Chengayan to snap harshly, “No crying.” Geng Nuo’s tears shrank back in fright.

“No more, no more…” He kept begging for mercy until the second half of the night, repeatedly forced to echo a phrase dictated by the amused general before being released just as dawn broke.

Around noon the next day, Geng Nuo was woken up by his empty stomach rumbling, taking a few dazed seconds to figure out where he was.

The familiar sensation of wrongness upon trying to climb up instantly snapped him fully awake.

With an ashen complexion, Geng Nuo reached a hand behind himself and groped around, pulling out several notes just as expected—wrinkled beyond recognition, soaked in unidentified fluid—Galactic bank notes.

Pfft! Dirty money!

He spat out his contempt with bitter resentment.

Having spat upon them, he proceeded to wipe the notes clean, smooth them out, and stack them neatly back together on the bed.

Throughout the entire process, his mouth never stopped muttering soft curses directed at the general.

Bastard, bad guy, pervert!

Finishing all this, he subconsciously went to search for his black money bag, only to suddenly catch sight of the two neatly arranged stacks of Galactic bank notes sitting on the bedside table.

Geng Nuo’s sleepy eyes widened frame by frame from half-squinted slits, shifting from disbelief to flashing brightly, casting aside his aching waist and sore legs to scramble on all fours toward the bedside and grab the two stacks of cash.

With no time to overthink, he twisted his legs backward into an M-shape, completely ignoring the awkwardness of the duck-sitting posture as he began counting the money.

A guess formed in his mind, growing increasingly close to reality the further down the stacks he counted.

Reaching the final bill, Geng Nuo felt his heartbeat thud so heavily it vibrated his eardrums. Even without touching it, he could feel his ears burning hot—such was the intensity of his current excitement.

He didn’t even need to count it a second time to verify the total.

—213 Galactic bank notes.

Not a single bill more, not a single bill less.

The exact, precise amount of the money that had been stolen from him.

Good heavens! Talk about the tides turning!

It had actually come back just like that?

“Who helped me get it back? Gu Chengayan?” Geng Nuo muttered his guess aloud, before immediately denying it. “Ha… as if.”

Since when was the man that kind-hearted?

Cupping the money in his palms and lifting it high above his head, Geng Nuo repeatedly confirmed he wasn’t dreaming before flopping sideways onto the bed, forgetting his legs hadn’t untwisted yet and nearly giving himself a cramp.

Following that, he began rolling back and forth across the bed in sheer excitement.

“Long live! Long live!” Geng Nuo cheered softly, lying flat on his back to hold the money high up in the air while kicking his legs back and forth in the empty space, looking blissfully like a joyful little idiot.

Suddenly, catching a reflection in his peripheral vision, he noticed a figure seemingly seated in the chair before the floor-to-ceiling window.

!!!

For real? Must be seeing things.

Maintaining his upward-gazing posture, Geng Nuo squinted to look closer… Damn! There really was someone!

Launching himself up in a carp-like leap, he propped himself up with the bed to turn and look. With the sun climbing high, the abundant illumination brought by the floor-to-ceiling window rendered the interior exceptionally bright and clear, casting the man sitting by the window entirely into deep backlighting.

Yet this in no way hindered Geng Nuo from recognizing the other party at a single glance.

Freezing in place, Geng Nuo let out a low, involuntary blurt: “What the fuck.”

“Gen—General Gu.” He offered a dry laugh. “…You, you haven’t left yet.”

Gu Chengayan sat upright in the single-person armchair with his legs crossed, his ankle resting against his thigh, leaning his temple idly against his knuckle. His gaze seemed to have remained steadfastly fixed in the direction of the bed all along—or rather, upon Geng Nuo—for what looked like a very long time: focused, calm, and majestic. At this moment, he resembled nothing less than a hunter quietly waiting for his prey to walk right into the trap, carrying a trace of bloody cruelty.

Raising an eyebrow at the words, the man curved his lips with unhurried leisure, though the smile failed to reach the depths of his eyes as he asked, “Say that again. Who did you fuck?”
