Sure enough, the simplest joys are often built upon the suffering of others.

After Director Zhen understood the basic situation, he had people fetch a few buckets of water. He let Shen Jin and Yao Yueying roughly rinse off first so they wouldn’t have to continue appearing on camera looking like mud dolls.

Fortunately, it was summer, so the consequences of falling into the water weren’t too severe.

A staff member from the other side reported that after the sheep headbutted Lu Jinming into the ditch, they had settled down. The situation was currently under control.

Director Zhen breathed a long sigh of relief. But as he counted heads, he realized—holy crap, why are two people missing?

Where were those two, the Crouching Dragon and the Hidden Phoenix?!

The others also quickly noticed the missing people and instantly panicked.

“They couldn’t have been trampled to death by the sheep, right?”

“Bite your tongue! Touch wood! Teacher Yin is so agile, how could that be possible? Where did they run off to?”

Yao Yueying took off her sun-protection jacket and said without much concern, “Isn’t it fine as long as they’re okay? At least they won’t be as miserable as us. Let’s just look for them; they should be nearby.”

It would have been better if she hadn’t spoken at all. The moment she said it, it gave everyone a weird feeling.

【Isn’t Yin Shuwei supposed to be super strong? She stole all the limelight on the show by roasting people, but now that something actually happens, she just pats her butt and leaves. What kind of behavior is this? Her character is too terrible.】

【It’s good that she’s fine. It’s not like you guys didn’t see the situation just now. How could she possibly deal with a whole flock of sheep and cows all by herself? What if the cows went crazy too? People could get trampled to death.】

【But she wasn’t in any danger either. Was she really unwilling to just reach out and lend a hand? That’s a bit too selfish, isn’t it?】

Lin Rongrong was relatively sensitive. She quietly glanced at Yao Yueying but couldn’t read any other emotions on her face; it seemed as if she had truly just said it in passing.

She really wanted to go look for Lu Jinming, but the production team said he was fine.

Besides, Lin Rongrong wasn’t a doctor, so she couldn’t help even if she went. Therefore, she decided to look for Yin Shuwei nearby; she would only feel at ease once she saw her in person.

Lin Rongrong walked around the vicinity. It had been too chaotic just now, but the surroundings were all fields and crops, and the houses were a bit further away. Could Yin Shuwei have run that far?

Just as she was thinking this, she suddenly heard a faint hissing sound above her head.

Lin Rongrong looked up and was met with a pair of cold eyes and a pink, forked tongue!

A snake! She hurriedly covered her mouth, not daring to make a sound, freezing completely still.

The cameraman following Lin Rongrong was also terrified. The bullet comments went wild, frantically spamming all sorts of digital protective charms. Amidst the terror, a familiar hand sporting a nude-colored manicure suddenly reached over and pinched the snake’s head. The yellow-and-green snake’s body instantly coiled around the incoming arm.

The camera panned up, revealing the smiling faces of Yin Shuwei and Yu Xingzhi. The two of them were crouching in a tree.

No wonder the sheep couldn’t find them—even humans would have a hard time finding them, okay?!

【Holy crap, Yin Shuwei, you truly are a woman like a fierce eagle!!!】

【Couldn’t she have made a sound? Waiting until Lin Rongrong walked by to show off like this, she did it on purpose, right? I’m so annoyed by this woman, she loves to act cool.】

【You try acting this cool and show me. If you can, I’ll WeChat transfer you 50 bucks.】

【Damn it, I want that money, but I really can’t earn it.】

Yu Xingzhi jumped down first. Looking at the person still in the tree, he seemed to be contemplating how to get Yin Shuwei down.

“Can’t she just jump down?” Lin Rongrong asked, confused.

Yu Xingzhi: “Because she’s holding another one in her other hand.”

Lin Rongrong shattered.

Only then did everyone notice that Yin Shuwei had another snake coiled around her other arm. With its pointed, triangular head, one look was enough to tell it wasn’t something to be messed with.

【Ahhhhhh Mom save me! If it were me, I’d be breakdancing on the spot.】

【No, if it were us, we would have reincarnated on the spot.】

【Are the people who were scolding Yin Shuwei earlier feeling the slap to their faces? Was it that she didn’t want to save anyone? She clearly saved everyone! If she hadn’t caught these two snakes, the consequences would have been unimaginable. This sister is too brave, sacrificing herself to protect everyone. I’m genuinely moved.】

Out of everyone present, Yin Shuwei had the most relaxed expression. “Look at me now. Azure Dragon on the left, Yellow Dragon on the right. So cool, right?”

Yu Xingzhi clapped, very supportive. “Do you want to take a few photos first?”

Yin Shuwei gave him an ‘Ah, you truly understand me‘ look. “Take them, take them! A scene like this is way too rare.”

None of the staff dared to step forward; only Yu Xingzhi was brave enough. And so, acting as if no one else was around, the two of them snapped a few pictures while she was still in the tree.

Fully satisfied, Yin Shuwei stood up, jumped steadily into Yu Xingzhi’s arms, then hopped down and trotted away to start striking grand poses.

Yin Shuwei: “Watch me swallow a giant snake!”

Yin Shuwei: “Double snake jump rope!”

Yin Shuwei: “Wow, you take such good photos! Have the production team send them to me later.”

Yu Xingzhi: “This pose has a very Miao Village girl vibe. Want another one?”

“Yes, yes, yes!”

Everyone else: “…”

Having the exact same mental illness is truly enviable.

【Shuwei, how many more surprises do you have that We do not know about?】

【Yu Xingzhi, you are indulging her way too much! That thing clearly looks venomous. Now that she’s holding them, how the hell is she going to get free?! Are there any professionals around?!!!】

【Obviously a new fan. You need to believe that Yin Shuwei has her own ways of solving things.】

【What if she can’t solve it?】

【I will observe a moment of silence.】

【Yin fans are truly unique. I can only say their mental state is very similar to Yin Shuwei’s.】

【The anti-fans are getting a bit scared now. Suddenly, I feel like getting scolded by her is just child’s play. This sister is truly crazy.】

Yin Shuwei finally had her fill of fun. The two snakes had been swung around in her hands so fast they left afterimages, and by now, they didn’t look very lively at all.

“Are you going to kill them?” Yao Yueying didn’t dare approach.

“I can’t do that, sis. Protecting wild animals is everyone’s responsibility.”

【Didn’t expect you to be so law-abiding.】

【That makes it even scarier, okay?!】

In the end, the production team called in professionals to take the two snakes away and release them back into the mountains. For some reason, one could almost see an expression of “surviving a deadly catastrophe” on the snakes’ tiny faces.

Originally, Yin Shuwei had just planned to throw them a bit further away; snakes were very common in the countryside during the summer.

But the production team argued vehemently against it. Since they were already caught, tossing them back into the wild nearby felt like burying a landmine. It was too unsettling.

The chaotic and terrifying morning finally came to an end. On the way back, only Yin Shuwei was glowing with radiant energy, sharing her tree-climbing experiences with Yu Xingzhi. From the sound of it, she wanted to go pick some wild jujubes next.

Lu Jinming had been howling in pain. His already poor lower back had almost been completely ruined by the sheep’s headbutts. The moment he saw Lin Rongrong, he began his accusations: “Are you even my wife? I’ve been in an accident for so long, and you’re only coming back now!”

“Just now, Yin Shuwei caught two snakes. One in each hand. They were venomous,” Lin Rongrong murmured to herself, her expression a bit dazed.

Lu Jinming: “!!!”

Meeting Yin Shuwei’s incredibly annoyed glare, he snapped his mouth shut.

Once the house quieted down, it was time to tally up the fruits of their labor.

Lu Jinming and Lin Rongrong hadn’t been much help, but because the owner’s sheep had been entirely too crazy, the sheep owner felt a bit guilty. He paid them their reward anyway: one fish, some carrots, and two heads of lettuce.

“Is my waist really only worth this much?” Lu Jinming teared up. He was very sad.

Lin Rongrong, on the other hand, thought it was a pleasant windfall.

Due to force majeure, Shen Jin and Yao Yueying’s team was barely considered to have completed their task. They received two small chicken drumsticks and a handful of water spinach.

Overall, the production team hadn’t reached the completely psychotic level of wanting to starve them to death, and they even paid decent attention to balancing meat and vegetables.

Yin Shuwei and Yu Xingzhi had gone foraging on their own. Their bamboo baskets were heavy and weighed down; who knows what kind of good stuff they managed to get.
